Normal marines can't take 3 terminators.

Sorry, I was in Space Wolf mode, Wolf Guard packs are 3-10.

You could put a librarian/ mephiston or a sanguinary priest with a small assault squad in there, blow stuff up and carry an assassination squad.

How do you bring only 3 terminators? Isn't minimum squad number 5?

Not for wolf guard, squad size is 3-10, which is why my initial response was I take 3 terminators.

I forgot Solar couldn't (I am assuming, aren't Lamenters a BA successor) which is why I suggested a small assassination squad.

Use the TFC against small tyranid gribbles and the multimelta against something bigger, the jump out and finish off the bigger gribbly for example. Or melta a guard outpost, pummel the occupants with the TFC and wipe them out in assault, that kind of thing

Yeah but Achilles lost "Assault Vehicle" when it got rid of its forward assault ramp, didn't it ?

The achilles does indeed not have the Assault Vehicle USR.

Did it?? Ah well... Thats what I get for not reading the rules properly (smacked hand).

A good thing I havent used mine in anger, so a mobile bunker then?

Proof I'm working.. Needed some additional Tac Marines to fill in all the holes in my squads. These are without backpacks as I didn't get time to finish them. I swear it takes longer to paint these than the LR! ~sigh~

Nice work SL... great to see the Lamerters back in the fore.

Finished the tactical marines last night.. only a wash on the base and some bits of flora.

Waiting for some magnets to finish my contemptor build so in the meantime I'll be working on some tech Marines. The MotF i'm using is FW HH Iron father I picked up at Adepticon.

I going to break with tradition and keep him Lamenter Yellow and accent with red. Or partitioned red... We'll see as I sit down to work on him. The other two I have will remain traditional in the red armor ( unless I like how the MotF pans out )

He's the FW Iron Father model of the Iron Hands.

Drop pods look great solar. Motf coming along nicely as well, looking forward to next shot of him.

I just love the extra panels & rivets on the Drop Pod doors... I can't remember though : did you build them, or is it a 3rd party kit ?

as far as camera settings.... are you using anything special on settings or is it an auto mode?

They look so much better in person. I just want the camera to see what my eyes are seeing
I use both.. at one time I was using a custom setting. Now they look blurry.. Is there a good resource ( simple ) that would give me a clue to what setting does what?

Weird that the Auto function is giving you issues... Try hitting the Macro mode button (flower) and see if that helps any?

I'll bug my little brother and see if he has any resources I can point you to. He's the more photo-savvy member of the family.

This site looks to have bits and pieces you might use... In particular theres a section on Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority- Two main things on DSLRs that you can mess with.

On macro keep hold till you get to the first setting move the mini and still keep it on the forst setting when your happy press it all the way but dont take you finger off or you will lose the setting of the chip inside the camera

After I get these dreads done I'm due for a big Army shot! I've added a lot in the past year. I'm still waiting on some bit for the contemptors and the other Land Raiders.

That is a cool figure, kinda super tech marine terminator look at my axe thing going on.

Don't know if the MotF can take terminator armor thou I think he still get a 2+ save with artificier(SP) armor. Still it's a unique figure. Glad I got it.

I've made some progress on the 3 dreads. Most the Librarian. I have his two other PW to finish (the sword and Staff) The Iron clad is just missing the seige drill and some alt grubbings ( missiles, searchlight, grappeling thingy), I'll need to pick up some additional dread arms/weapons - Autocannons!

I'll try to take a pic tonight ( camera gods willing )

On a purchased front. I got some more stuff for the contemptors; so I'll be hitting them again and An Imperial knight of which I'll be painting in my household colors!
