Yes, I think she could crush many a head with that thing.

And the printed stuff from shapeways SHOULD be done printing today, but I haven't received any updates in a while. The Melta Gun did not get printed, still a few areas that are too thin to print. Back to the "Blender" board! I have a Flamer that I have been working on, but there is something about it that doesn't look right. Needs more work.

I still need to do the optics on the lizard, but I am busy at work this week, and I am heading Home to see my kids this weekend, so it will have to wait.

It's been a MONTH since I've seen my kids. I am so excited!

Oh, and my wife. I see her too.

my wife was last year at this time on a vacation with my kids for three weeks away from home... you probably remember when i built that pirate ship for them as a welcome home present?... it was the scariest and awfulest time in my life... and believe me... i had a fiew i wouldnßt want to relive ...but being apart for that long... couldn´t bear with that again...period!

cherish and use wisely the time you now then have with all of them... and even your wife

dude my dad works out in SanFran all week and is here only sat-sun.. its hard for us with these 5 days without him, I cant imagion what its like without your family for a month! That just shows your dedication to you family and I applaud you good sir!

Thanks guys for your support with my family. It's hard not to feel like I am abandoning them though. I know it's for our future, and in that respect, it does look bright, but when I hear that my oldest say's she misses Daddy, it breaks my heart, and I want to call it all off to go back home.

I see recent pictures of her that my wife sends me, and she already looks different. My youngest is standing by herself now, and is almost walking. I am missing so much.

Soon we will all be together again though, and it will be worth it.

On a lighter note, there is a Hobby Lobby, litterally right across the street from the apartment complex we will be moving into! And a Hobby Town USA next door to my work! The hobby future does indead look bright!

Sounds like all is well on all fronts. It's good that you'll be seeing your family soon.

Sorry about the family issue a month is long time in general even worse when you are absent from people you want to be with, on the other hand the misses best get used to you not being around with that on your door step .

Shame about the printing issues hopefully it will be correctable easily enough

well the topmost thing to keep reminding yourself is: you are doing it for the family... so the missing of things happening to your lil lady is for the greater good...(no pun intended here!)

Thank you all for your good vibes and well wishes! I had a GREAT visit! The girls were tear-full and didn't want to stop hugging me. It was very sweet. Even the wife seemed glad to see me!

It was very hard to leave them again but it's only for 10 days this time, and then I will be bringing them back with me.

I'm far from being even remotely PC but I do wonder about serious gamers validating the 'desperate nerd' stereotype of sculpting / collecting huge breasted scantily-clad damsels with guns or swords or whatnot. While that aspect is out there, it's not the majority by any means, yet the stereotype persists because it keeps happening.

I'm not disrespecting your modeling skill or your artistic vision at all. You (hopefully) know me better than that. I'm just thinking that you're inadvertently feeding the trolls. They haven't caught up w/ you yet, but they will.

I just give the people what they want. The fact that I enjoy the stereotypical "nerd" fantasy has absolutely nothing to do with it!

On a more depressing note, I haven't done anything for a while now. Even my Shapeways order is on back order, they were waiting on materials or some such nonsense.

I basically get home, shower and go to bed, and wake up and leave.

I can't wait to move my family over, and get into the apartment. It is less than 2 miles from work, and I will have more time at home, less in the car. Right now, I have a 1 hour commute. One way. Not cool.

Anyway, I hope to back at it this weekend. We'll see though, I've said that before and got stuck doing other things all weekend. Wish me luck!
