Thanks for the feedback Guys,
Kraut, when I put this together I envisioned it being painted bronze and I agree it looks a lot better without the eyes. Im not too sure about the cyclops eye socket though. Ill look into it when Im working on the GS.
The stones on the tusks were always going to be carved off, I really like the look of the tusks though. I will add the cabling to the back of the head again as well for something else to tie it in with the WE. Ill also probably add a grille behind the maw. Im really looking forward to the giant chainsaw getting here as well. As for the dread I only really need to hit it with another set of highlights on the gold and paint the trophies on top. My short attention span wins out again though and I keep finding something else to do.

I LOVE the new head. Looks absolutely bitchin'. I agree the eyes need to go, perhaps replace them with a vent?

I think getting rid of the eyes/nose and adding a grill behind is an improvement, but, IMHO, this bit would look better on a shoulder or something as a world eater icon and not as a mouth. Even if you paint it bronze, get rid of the stones and such, it just isn't big enough to look good. As it is, it kind of looks like this guy:
Ok, maybe that's a bit harsh, but I say, "If you want a fanged maw on this guy, I think you should really go for it."

Rawson youre right, Im pants at keeping secrets it needs a bit of work, however I am liking the general idea and it fits with my original plan of only using preexisting bits. I have ordered the standard from the Thundertusk as well though which is similar but a lot less organic and I think it may be slightly bigger. Also ordered this week were 2 copies of DarkVengeance a copy of Space Crusade, a fgiant chainsaw from the Ork Stompa and some Storm Raven wings to work on the arm joints. Now Im broke again and off to beg for some grub.
This bit
And yeah Puffer-titan aint a good moniker lol

No worries mate. I did chuckle when I read the name.
Quick question, how big are Knight walkers usually? I ask because the Gorehound as it stands is only hitting approx 8.5" I know the FW Warhound is approx 10"

Biohazard wrote: Quick question, how big are Knight walkers usually? The Epic knights would have scaled up to 8" in comparison to FW warhound, whereas the Armorcast Knights were 6". I personally feel Knights should be around 6/6.5". Even if you chose to accept Knights as being 8" tall, yours is far too bulky to be considered anything other than warhound class. Love that Chainsword! Should look great when youve fleshed it out a bit

Thanks for the heads up mate. I suppose I could always get round the height difference by saying mine is a smaller recon version of the scout titan. Mind you if I had straightened the legs a bit more I could have probably got the height right but not the bulk. Another thing is the idea of a scout titan is laughable really. Its like using a T Rex to sneak up on someone.

Whoa, this thing is getting more and more amazing all the time, buddy! Fantastic job!
You know, along with the stuff people like PHD and GuitaRasmus are doing, this project really codifies kitbashing as an artform of its own! Excellent!
On a related note, I only just realised that the holes on the side of the head could work as eyes too!
As for scale and plausibility, I usually find that there are all kinds of bogus arguments to help you justify certain modelling choices after the fact, so don't worry about a few inches.
For example, just off the top of my head:
- the Titan is a special design commissioned by Angron himself due to the requirements in certain theatres of battle
- the Titan is actually a prototype for the (later developed) Warhound (maybe given over to Deimos' company during the heresy as a token of Angron's favour)
- the Titan is a special model unique to the World Eaters' legion -- let's face it: They were name the "War Hounds" at some point, they're bound to have a special connection to that particular Titan pattern, right?
- the Titan was changed by the Dark Mechanicus/the ruinous powers/its time in the warp/some bad boy who then conveniently ran off...
The model is shaping up to be truly fantastic, and that's what counts! You'll always be able to somehow retrofit it into the existing background (seeing as the "official" background seems to be criminally inconsistent anyway )

Thanks for the compliments and fluff suggestions buddy. Im liking the 'War Hounds' idea as in The warmachine has been with the legion from near the beginning. Originally i was just going to say they nicked it from some silly Ad Mech car park.
As for the arm I'm looking at removing the barrel from the top of the chainsaw as I don't think it really fits. I have a few pistons and plates to add to the upper arm as well.

Whoa, buddy, I've been wanting to comment here for days - now I'm finally getting around to actually doing it
1.) Great work on the Termies! Those guys are really coming along nicely, and the unit will look great together!
2.) The Dread's looking ace too, but I already told you that. However, concerning the legion badge, maybe doing it in red would be too much of a good thing. That big boy is *very* red as it is Personally, I really like to use a legion badge with a blue (or cyan) planet, since it makes for a great colour contrast. Anyway, he definitely needs some sort of eye-catcher on the left "panel" to balance out the Khorne rune on the other side. What about one of the old World Eaters decals from the early 90s?
3.) Great work on the cultists too! I've been considering cutting up that "commissar" cultist for quite some time, but have failed to work up the courage to do it so far
4.) The new Titan head is great, but I still think the other "maw" bit remains an equally viable option. I agree that the new part looks less organic and more mechanical, but I love the skulls inside the other maw. It somehow looks more ornamental. Anyway, both options are great. The head's really getting better all the time! My only nitpick would be that the single eye is still too easy to overlook. That may be changed by adding some contrasting colour to it, but at the moment, it really doesn't read as the Titan's eye.
Anyway, great work all around! Those World Eaters will be a sight on the tabletop!
