I feel as though these should count: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/20-Dark-Vengeance-Chaos-Space-Marine-Cultists-of-Nurgle-Plague-Zombies-40k-/200839427179?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec2f6746b
20 Cultists for about 3 times the going rate, just because they have some (rather dubious I'd say) conversions to plague zombies.

I'll use massive amounts of glue to mold old He-man and Transformers toys onto poorly assembled GW miniatures .

Well the framing alone could be worth at least 200-300 dollars. At 4kg, I assume it comes with the poster. That's almost half the value of the auction.

The going rate for Cyclone Missile Launchers before the Deathwing Command Squad box was $15-20, so I'd say 12 sounds fair.

IIRC when these first came out they were about $12 a blister (they're $16 now in Finecast which is just insane). That was overpriced. This is a $40 Buy It Now with another $20 in shipping, making this one blister of razorwings god-damned $60.

Heh, if that's a bargain, I wonder what he'd try to sell my metal Dark Angels captain for who is now in FC. Hell, it's still NIB (box was slightly opened to remove base), maybe I can sell it for $80.

Stuff like this makes me wonder if this isn't cover for nefarious monetary transactions like for drugs or some such. People pass miniatures around, place a ridiculous price on them in order to launder money. This isn't expensive enough for that really... but I do wonder sometimes.

You know I have always thought of melting down lots of gold and casting them into miniatures and painting them so people wouldn't know they are gold. Kinda like cash in the mattress.
Speaking of that though there was a guy who was caught laundering drug money in comic books. He bought over 18,000 comic books worth over $500,000 with money made from selling drugs.
