And here I was thinking the Tannenberg Colonel was my favourite Vic miniature. Now I don't know, because those crew are amazing.

Heh - for some reason I was expecting more of a mortar, and less of a railroad gun.

It would work great for a silence the guns scenario - one of my favorite 3rd edition WH40K games was actually two interconnected battles spread across two tables - with one table being the main battle, and the other being Ravenwing against the infantry support for the guns - which were firing onto the other table.

Very interesting I wonder what it could be. The large pipe implies a water filtration system (essential in hostile territory) or perhaps some sort of portable oil rig.

Or maybe it goes up to become a watch tower or communications link. It could also be a smoke stack for some sort of field power plant, which would also explain the round elements on the bottom.

Whatever the case may be I'll defintiely be watching.

my only fear is with the bones material. I hope the barel dosn't bend down

let's see the big dragons and terrain are $10-15 dollars, this will have 4 crew so are we looking at $20 through the KS and $50.00 at retail?

It's not the bones PVC used on the regular models. It's "rigid bonesium" which is the material the bases are made of.

I'm guessing the same material as the storage crates and Wyrmgear's wings.

In other words, pretty good stuff.

I've never dealt with either of Bones materials.

If I enjoy GW plastic, FW resin, and obviously Vic's resin, will I therefore enjoy working with this material?

I have the shipping crates and they're very rigid, like high impact plastic (the stuff GW uses) not soft at all.

excellent, So how would you use this in a game of 40k? would you count it as a basilisk or something else?

As is you could use it as an Earthshaker emplacement, which has rules in one of the Forge World books.

Depending on the overall model when it is unveiled, I may convert it into a proper self-propelled gun myself.

DKOK have a Heavy Mortar as well but this is definitely closer to an Earthshaker Emplacement.. it's freakin massive.

Yeah that gun has got me pledging on bones by itself, I sort of hope the possible 'conversion kit' mentioned might throw in a variant with a shorter barrel. Maybe something named after one of the three gorgon sisters for example.
