Thank you very much Meatsheild.
Currently continuing to paint the Citadel and Time Lord. no pictures yet...
Tiger Macharius has stalled and the Bulldog Infernus im stuck as im not sure If im done with construction and I need to base or if it needs more things like sponsons (which are optional i think on a malcador) and do dads.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Pictures and Citadel of Vengeace completed. I work fast....

I already posted the Fluff. its back on page 8.

name plate kinda bad picture. stupid camera phone. and its a pain to paint out a name in such a small spare but im happy i stayed on the same plate of armor!
Isn't there some kind of pens or something out there? Anyone got some ideas? prefer Black or Red or white for writing tank names.

The Time lord is now getting painted.
I had some elaborate fluff for it but im still working on it. Had it "vanishing" through out time due to its weapon system malfunctioning every now and then. at one point an entire Battleship vanished from the timeline. but im not sure so im still tinkering with the fluff.

The pictures are a tad out of date (by a matter of minutes ), its gotta a bit more paint since these pictures.

Enjoy. The Time lord will be completed soon.

The Infernus like I said im not 100% on if Im done or not and its ready for basing. I accidently went nuts with a lighter and theres a burn on the crew compartment and the new exaust pipes are a bit burnt... i think I might be a tad bit of a pyro..... was using the lighter to initially bend pipes and things, but it didn't work. then i turned around and remembered I had a Heat Gun....

The Tiger tank, Im stuck in I don't know what to do. Im sure i could add additional armor on the sides, build the radio box on the rear of the turret and of course add the hatchs, I just need the initative and it would be completed in a matter of a few hours.

Time Lord, Chrono Tank up and running.

The ancient tank known as the "Time Lord" has seemingly vanished and reappeared through out time. Only a few scatter accounts have been gathered together.
Aurax system, Moon of planet Sakron 2. Guardsmen report a tank that seems to fade from existances a the blink of an eye and in there words "Is not totally there". Guardsmen executed for attempting to incite panic.
Hadar System, Planet Eson 5. Scattered reports of ghostly tank followed by cataclysmic temporal disturbances from all over the planet, Inquisition invesigation and found no instance of Warp influence. Shortly after the Inquisition left, the planet seemingly vanished from the time stream. no records of exterminatus or any evidence of planatoid destuction have been found to date.

futher files have been sequestered....

Search query.... Most Recent report..
1 file found.
Accessing....

Amar System. Planet Antha 3. Campaign against Renegade planatery govenor. Temporal disturbance found, at coordinates 26*N 53*W, Renegade forces found "froozen in time" expressions of froozen soldiers to be of fear. Tank located in the center of the disturbance with malfunctioning weapon system. Tank recovered and transfered to Mechanicus. Temporal disturbances cease and all froozen renegade forces are captured and executed. Tank repaired and transfered to 91st Experimental for field testing.
Current deployment status....
Awaiting deployment to major combat zone.

I don't care if the fluff isn't 100% to "established' fluff... the "rules" are broken practically all the time. its not concrete anyways and it can change at my whim.

The Pyro got burned! (pun intended.)

The rear block will likly get a few tid bits. like vents and things. im probly gonan chop off the burnt ends of the exausts (or keep them for character)
Otherwise the machine is ready for basing.

In the words of the "Pyro" from teamfortress 2 which inspired the tank. "Mmmmmmph! Frrr mmhh Mmmphererrr!" only its not his words but its his "speech" or lack thereof.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Had a Strange idea for a "Banehammer". And im putting it up so I don't forget it.

The Banehammer is the big baneblade variant with a Tremor cannon. it shakes the ground enough it turns it all to dangerous terrain and such (theres more to it of course).
Well I once read about a game called " Elements of War" , a decent game that could have done better. The neat thing was a series of "Elemental units" which used the weather, earth and environment around them to devestating effect.

I found a picture of the "Earthquake" version of the Elemental weapons (others summon hurricanes, lightning storms, tornados and more).

The Machine seems to be a strange energy device that projects energy into the ground to affect a target at a distance.
its mounted on what seems to be a super sized version of the standard US millitary heavy mover truck. I bet with some design work i could work a similar device onto a baneblade hull (or a tank hull of similar size)

I know the Tremor cannon is... well.... a cannon.... but the effect would be the same. a hyper experimental device that could create small earthquakes would have some diviation on targets (scatter) due to the unstable nature of the device, this also helps in the variable nature of the earthquake effect the Tremor Cannon makes.

Maybe my spare Maus hull could be used?
If i remember correctly the Banehammer has a troop capacity some what. If i used the Maus Hull. the Rear structure could the the infantry transport bay and the entire front section with generators, batterys, Earthquake device and all on it. Sponsons would be attached to give the Maus hull the desired width to fit the Baneblade hull width.

The Maus tank hull is completed.

The "Banehammer" with the experimental seismic energy emitter array shall be named Magnus Terra Elementum (Great Earth Elemental)
on its front end will be a folding array of 4 "pads" that fold down to the ground. a large reactor will be embeded in the front hull underneath the folded up emmitter array.

Behind it will have a short bunker like structure to accomadate the 25 troops it (the banehammer design) can carry.

hopefully If i can work out the folding mechanism for The Magnus then I can work out the same construction for my Mobile Bastion Vehicle. using pipes of slightly differing diameter i can use them as hindges or pistons.

I have aquired a Sherman Tank suspension system (the Vertical Volute Spring System, or VVSS) and after reading another of those "Imperial guard tanks are not functional" threads i've decided to build a "functional" version of a Leman Russ.

The Concept of the Russ as of now is a WW1 throwback. My design will be a prototype machine with a more modernish design that was to replace the current Russ design but was lost or discarded for one reason or another.

I want to have it similar to the design of the Chernovan Tank from Warhawk.

The hull would be shortened but the design warrents itself to gain a hull mounted weapon and even a pair of Sponsons.

only annoying thing is the Sherman suspension didn't come with tracks be they rubber or otherwise. I think i can outfit it with the tracks that were ment for the jagdpanzer 4 hull (now used by the Citadel with spare 40k tracks applied to it) Maybe ill have more tracks to spare somewhere.

Why doesn't GW sell more bits? They would get alot more money and all those bits sites wouldn't exist (except those custom ones. thats different), I would buy plenty of tank tracks, extra guns and what not to fuel my war machine production. ah well... i can't find a suggestions department on the GW site. thier loss!

The Pyro, Macador Infernus with base coat. Going to paint it soon.

As for the Magnus Terra Elementium.
I managed to begin constuction of its weapon system.
To say the design is complex is an understatment. Things move and fold on this machine. or they will.
Right now it onyl has the center primary emitter arms and 1 of the bases for the right emitter.

When the vehicale stops to fire, the emitters fold down in a deployed manner. there are no rules or anything that require it to deploy to fire. Thats a cosmetic thing i built in. in theory the machine could drive around with the emitters in the deployed position as long as they are not slamed into something.

Also.... I did a weird thing and made a unit in my head and made fluff for it and everything. forgot about it... and then rediscovered the fluff and design only recently and considering the increasing complexity of my constucts I could attempt it.

The idea is based on the "Blast Bot" of Jak and Daxter (jak 2 and 3), major 40k-ifications being the top moutned gun is changed to duel autocannons, armor design is changed along with other things. I actually made it in my fluff "The Last of its kind" (thats the title of a little fluff bit i made for it), The idea being that all proper A.I are illegeal due to the Men of iron of the past (Think Termiantors, the robots), hence why menial tasks are done by servitors not Robots, there is still a human brain involved. This machine i made into a very sad character.

He doesn't even get a name in his bit of fluff i already wrote. he is simply refered to as "The Machine" but given human qualitys. If I build him ill give him fluff from before what has already been written (time wise).

*insert fluff here, im getting it off my laptop.* fluff will wait. laptop has decided it wants to not funciton properly... doesn't want to start up.

Ill get back when the Magnus Terra Elemantium gets further construction and the Pyro gets painted.

Had a Games Day at my locla Hobbytown USA saturday and had a chance to lay out a significant part of my army in an armor colum, and i took a bunch of pictures. unfortunatly dispite telling alot of people about it only 3 peopel made it, which included 2 guys who practically worked at Hobbytown and me.

They said there were more coming (which didn't show up) and they told a bunch of people about the Games Day too but oh well. iIhad fun as i put all my tanks together in an imaginary armored blitzkreig and talked to them and people who were intriged by the massive plastic armys. It was funny to see little kids who came in with their parents to get some little hobby item go wide eyed and go "Wooooah!" when they saw the army all out on the table. Even had a dad have his kids take pictures with the army.

Anyways, i had my little Iphone camera and tried to get shots from within the mass of plastic.
Also managed to swipe a Hellhammer cannon muzzle from someone so the T95000 has a proper muzzle brake now, it just needs paint.

I know the real Tiger tanks exaust is not built like that (hell the kit had everything needed and I just ignored it)
But I like it...

Wee little cannon. should get a coat of paint and what not.

As for future stuff.

The heli copter model i grabbed for the extra blades for my HeliVendetta will probly be lengthened and all sort of things to turn into

Spoiler:
Condor, Heavy Air Transport

IG

BS 3
AV: 12/12/11
Structure points: 3

Transport:
100 infantry models (2 full platoons)
Or 3 Chimeras and their cargo of infantry (or 3 chimera sized units, such as hell hounds)
Or 3 Leman Russes
Or a mix of vehicles. ex: 1 LRBT, a Chimera and a Hellhound.
Or 9 Sentinals
Or carry 2 Malcador Tanks (any varients)
Remove armor to 10/10/10 and all weapons bar the chin mounted duel auto cannon and wing mounted AA guns and it can transport a single Baneblade (or one of its varients), or a Crassus (or one of its varients), or 2 Macharius Super heavy Tanks.

Cannot carry a Titan of any kind or a Gorgon.

Weapons:
1 Chin mounted Duel Auto Cannon (360 view)
4 door mounted Heavy Bolters
Rear door mounted Auto Cannon
Wing mounted turrets with dual Auto Cannons with AA mount
Wing pylons with 2 Hellstrike MIssles each (4 total)
No Bombs.

Aircraft upgrades possible.

The Condor is the Imperial Guards answer to the Thunderhawk of the Astartes and the big brother to the Sky Talon Valkarie. No where near as heavily armed or armored as a Thunderhawk but can carry troops and equipment into battle just as quickly if not faster then a Thunderhawk, dropping troops into contested areas along with their equipment and can even drop full sized tanks such as the Leman Russ or a large contingent of Sentinals. When stripped down with the removal of alot of the armor and all the weapons bar its chin gun and its wing mounted AA guns the Condor can heft a vehicle the size of a Baneblade or 2 Macharius Super Heavy tanks, but the removal of the armor plate brings dangers as the enemy, as soon as seeing a Super heavy tank being hauled in their direction at speed, will direct all fire to prevent such a machine from entering combat. A Gorgon, or a Titan of any kind are much to heavy for even a stripped down Condor and must be hauled by a bulk freighter or drive to their deployment zone.

IT doesn't have the overwhelming firepower of a Thunderhawk nor the armor, but its ability to move troops and equipment is unmatched and a wing of Condors can unload legions of Men and Machines on the enemys flanks to crush the enemys of Man.

Points:400
Aircraft upgrades avalable.
remove armor and weapons to carry Super Heavys. Free.

The Cargo it carries will take up alot of points.
400 point Condor + a 400 point Baneblade is 800 points and the possibility to loose that from AA fire is present.
Edit: this was created during 5th edition, ill get to fixing things that were changed in 6th later.....

As for the Christmas list (model wise) it contains.
T-28 Super Heavy Tank (the model is actually physically longer then the T95000 I currently have which is a baneblade chassis!)

the giant Zepplin model that was suggested.

the wall of martyrs. that trench system GW offering. I might end up the onyl one in the local store with one so I could use it to my advantage lol

a pair of little Hotchkiss tanks, the Captured versions with rockets on the sides!

another Valkarie (to complete the squadron) and a few other things I can't remember off hand. and im not sure what I will do to the Valk in terms of modification. Ill figure that out when I get it I suppose.

UPdate,

Kreig Tiger got a coat of paint.
I dunno why but I like the greyish-blue. pot said "The Fang" on it and i assume its got something to do with sphess puppies colors but darkened a little with a wash I like it....
It still needs the weathering but otherwise I like it.

and I got these Starship Troopers "Bug Fields" on a whim at hobbytown.

Their only under the "infantry" gallery as I could not think of any where else to put them .

Im going to use them interchangably as markers/objectives and even have a possible use as proper force field fences.

"Energy Field Fence"
The owner of the Energy Field fence can set up the fence with each "post" about 6 inchs apart (max) from each other in a row.
The owner can fire through the fence but targets get a 5+ invul save as the field is imperfect and sometimes will stop the owners rounds.
If the enemy fires at the owners units on the opposite side of the fence then the owners units get a 4+ invul save.

ill tweek it... that or it'll be some weird kind of Agis defense line and ill build the quadgun later.

pictureless update.

I've built a little more on the Magnus Terra-

it now has some equipment on the front and smoke stacks and the rear has the super structure being built.

I also have a few more ideas for the futurebefore and possibly after christmas.

I found an old PT boat model. I don't know the scale but its longer then a Baneblade but either way I think it'll be a custom unit.

Im going to give it legs...... Ala- Soviet Stringray Assault boat from Red alert 3. With some battle cannons other guns strapped on for good measure.

Also I think ill build a little more into my "Space Marines" (aka Section 9)
Im going to construct a Predator or 2 along with maybe a Rhino/razorback.

The idea will be more emphisis on the whole idea of Space Marine's tanks being "Faster" then IG tanks. The Rhino will be a 6 wheeled APC style machine with the Razorback and Predator following suit. The Predator would be akin to a Striker APC with a cannon on its top and a razorback with be the same but with a heavy MG (or in this case a bolter or something.

The Kreig Tiger hasn't gotten its weathering yet but ill get around to that.
Ill also get pictures of the progress up soon. but for now bed.

Here we go.

The Pyro Tank is painted. And I don't think im going any further then that,
its a funny homage to the Team Fortress 2 Pyro (red in this case). The front bears the TF2 symbol of the Pyro and even has a pair of references to the pyro on it as well (not seen in the picture). on its rear reads "SPY CHECK!" due to the method used to locate and kill spies in a TF2 game. and on its side, circles by blue "sparkles" reads "Do you belive in magic?" due to the song from the "Meet the Pyro" video. I find it funny lol

I got a new cable for my Camera (yay) and i've nearly completed the Magnus Terra Elementum (Great Earth Elemental).

Its super structure is roughly done. The troop bay is complete with stubbers mounted on it, the cap has a door to the inside. The troopers enter from the door on the bottom rear and they have plenty of equipment and other things for them too. The top has vents, the commander in his own hatch and a second hatch with a storm bolter mounted on it. I tried but counldt find anythign better for the view ports then a large Baneblade plate. the plate is where the driver and Co-Driver sit and set vertical on the machine has a armored view port look instead of hatchs.

Ill add some rivets to some hap hazardly added on armor plates.

the front mounted Seismic Emitter Array is primed and ready. it was going to have more cables on it but being the first model i've built that has moving parts they did not work out very well. But I do belive they look good.

Ill get down to basing it soon.

Oh. For a picture of the next possible thing.

A PT Boat model that i found. It was long since assembled but never painted and its been neglected for years. important details that would make it a proper historical model are missing so I've decided to turn it into an amphibious combat craft.

The insperation is the Stringray attack craft from Red Alert 3.

IM going to hook a set of legs to the bottom of it. Just like the Stringray.

It will be armed with a bow mounted Leman Russ turret (battle cannon), its traditional torpedos (inactive on land unless I figure something out), a rocket pod on its rear (like the rocket pod from a Valk, only using larger rockets that have frag warheads), and on the sides on pintles either Auto cannons or Heavy Bolters.

I would imagine torpedos would be like 90 some odd inchs in range (probly make them 72 inchs) with ST 10 AP 5 (its ment to kill ships, not infantry)

As opposed to the Tesla Coils of the Stingray.

Ill get it a name, armor and more either half way through construction.

Super short update.

The Magnus Terra is based but I had some complications with the moving parts and the spray paint solidifying them which prevented them form moving.
after alot of effort and a purchase of super glue i managed to repair it all and get the parts moving again. otherwise the machine is ready for paint.

The Amphibious assault boat is on hold as after reading maybe the 4th "The Imperial tanks (Leman Russ) design is bad and not like modern tanks" thread i've decied to go forward and green light the construciton of a "modern-ish" Leman Russ tank.

It will be shortened in height, and made a tad longer while the romboid tracks will be removed. it'll be similar to the Chernovan tank i posted earlyer. even that design is more "modern" then a WW1 hybrid creature that is the Leman Russ.

While obviously 40k runs on the "Rule of Cool" and not reality or engineering prinicples I don't care and still want to scratch build a proper battle tank that you could see roaming around in the 21st or even 40+K millenium. it will be heavy duty and angular like the IMperial armor usually is (but its gonna be welded, not riveted) but still have a modern appearance.

strangly in my head i can see the blueprints. from the engine location to the ammo stowage and all the wires and hydrolics in between. If only i had the talent to get them on paper (or on the screen) like in photoshop or something. hell even CAD would be neat.

Ill get a picture of the Hull of the Modern Russ up at some point.

Here is my "modern-ish" LR version.

I call it the Vangaurd.
half based on the FV215b (prototype british tank destroyer) and half based on the Chernovan battle tank of Warhawk.

side by side the Vanguards hull is only slightly longer (due to the suspension and track layout), but its just as wide as a Russ (i would have increased the track width but I couldn't find wider tracks and didn't have the initiative to build some. Not to mention i've run out of Imperial Gaurd Tracks gah! I have some left over Rhino tracks and am trying to decide whether to modify them to fit.

The turret of the Vanguard will be larger then a Russ and its cannon, like i said before, will possibly be taken froma Challenger 2 model. as the impossibly large bore of a Russ Tank on a "Non Leman russ Tank" jsut doesn't look right unless its something like a Baneblade or other imperial tank. It'll be blockyand angular and such. a combo of the 2 tanks that inspired it.

Scratch that! In the midst of writing this I found the 88 cannon from the Kreig Tigers orgional model. Its should be perfect for it. the scale makes the 88 look larger so it would make the Vanguard appear to have a proper 120mm cannon.

Ill get back with a comparasin photo and a progress photo when i get the turret on.

The Vangaurd Project continues.

Compared to a Leman Russ.
its just as wide (maybe wider by a fraction of a millimeter from the track base)
only slightly longer (again, due to the suspension design and when the turret is complete the rear of the turret will extend over the rear)

And only a fraction of a mm taller (shorter if the turret hatch is open with commander and stubber/storm bolter)

Also, Christmas brought several things!
a large set of th Wall of Martyrs trench system.
a little Hotchkiss tank with rockets (even at 1/35th the thing is tiny!)
the T28 Super heavy tank
and the gigantic zepplin model that was suggested. its HUGE.

Along with that came another Valkarie which ill figure what to do with. I think it will be similar to a V-22 osprey but will have jet engines or something.

It's been a long time since I've seen this thread.

The gigantic zeppelin, well I did say it was on the large side.

As for the new valkyrie you could convert it into an apache.
The Hotchkiss could be used for towing "wrecks".
E.g remove the turret stick an engineer inside and attach a bit of wire or string that can be wound up to act as the tow rope.

The "Vanguard" looks cool by the way.
As for your stingray idea have a pair of autocannons on the back instead of rockets but thats if you copy the concept art.

Sir Bushwookie

I'm probably going to edit this later as I'm rather tired at the moment.

Schrott

Im finnaly back.

I got a new computor for christmas along with the many models like the T28 Super Heavy Tank, and the Hotchkiss light tank.

I was hesitant to put the warhammer pictures on it but I did it and here is some progress.

The Vanguard Main Battle Tank construction is completed.
Its mid way though painting otherwise.

Overall I belive the Vanguard design is leaps and bounds over the Leman Russ. It would be larger with wider tracks but that was a constraint by the Leman Russ size. either way It has more mechanical sense then the Leman Russ.

Its turret and cannon are opposite of the Leman Russ design.
The turret is large enough that 3 humans can feasibly fit into it and both the Gunner and loader have hatchs (on the sides of the turret) to enter and exit from, while the Commander has an area in the rear of the turret where communications equipment can be stored and he could stand up in the hatch as well.

Ammunition is stored in and around the turret ring and the Cannon itself is not so off scale that it would possibly be like 300mm instead of the labeled 120mm.

The Driver has his own seperate compartment in the front with Lascannon controls linked to his controls allowing him to fire the weapon. Also he is more sunk into the hull like many modern tanks today, rather then a slit window he has 3 periscopes to view the world from.

The Suspension would be Torsion bar with a middle mounted engine behind the driver and just fore of the Turret ring with the gearbox and transmission connecting to the sprocket wheel. Fuel is stored to the left and right of the engine with batteries on the right front side. The Lascannon batteries are seperate but are contained in the same compartment, which can be accessed by the Driver should the need arise. The Tracks have a rhomboid shape but it is much much shorter and practical then the taller Leman Russ suspension. It has 1 large return roller with 4 road wheels and the frontally mounted Idler wheel.

Its hull armor has a upper glasis being at 250mm thick at a roughly 45 degree angle. its lower hull has 200mm of solid plasteel at roughly 30 degrees. Its turret front has 200mm on the turret "cheeks" and the very front including the gunsheild is a total of 550mm thick of solid armor (the gunsheild itself is 350mm thick with the turret front at 200). The sides are a thinner 150mm with the turret sides being 110mm thick with the doors having an added 40mm. The rear armor is a much thinner 80mm of armor on the hull and 70mm on the turret rear.

Its "run-on-all" engine is capable of over 1000 hp and with turbo engaged it can achive 1500hp. Its governed at 45mph but with the govoner removed the engine is capable of kicking the Vanguard into about 60+ MPH, but a Vanguard would rarly reach such a speed as the transmission and tracks would be shreaded by the engines brute force before it reached such a speed.

The design could be outfitted with sponsons with a large plate welded to the track guards and sponsons attached but they are left off.

personally i think thats a more suitible tank design then the Leman Russ.... the Vanguard may be just as ficitonal then the Leman Russ, but i think it has just as much looks then the Leman Russ (IMHO) but its a more practical in design.

Also i have begun the planning stage of the War Zepplin.

The thing is HUGE and if it was to scale it would dwarf even a manta or a Titan (lengthwise to a titans height).
scale wise im going to have battle cannons on board (which will be little tubes in turrets on its front) and a large bomb rack hanging underneath it.
Additional forward engines and lift engines will be attached along the body with armor plate.

It will be similar to a Kirov but with 40k injected into it. I already can hear that voice in my head....

*Kirov* Is that your house? Lets go visit them...... *bombs start falling*

Magnus Terra and Vangaurd completed.

I gave it blue markings denoting the command tank role. If its going to be the design that trumps the current Leman Russ design i want it in the thick of the fray.
The turet markings include the blue stripe and triangle on its turret with its name and serial number (EX:9591D).

Its specifications are already displayed above.

I can't think of a fluff thing for the Magnus terra right now. got a headache

Here it is. The "Great Earth Elemental" with its Seismic Energy Emmitter array. played as a Banehammer it should be alot of fun. built on a Maus hull with a boxy super structure on top and open troop compartment with heavy stubbers on it it should be a terror on the battlefield. it doesn't have sponsons only due to the fact I didn't go out and get any and that the Maus Hull doesn't lend itself to Baneblade sponsons due to their shape. The front array folds up and down but due to the paint it can have some troubles doing so, but im ok with it.

im going to begin construction on the War Zepplin shortly. i bought a ork bomber for the bombs it has, and the rest of the craft will probly be canabalized for other projects, like the 3rd valkarie.

Warp Wasp painted (finnaly)

I have no idea what prevented me from painting the Warp Wasp. but i got it mostly done except a little bit of weathering.

But now its ready, and the zepplin continues to be tinkered on. After the Zepplin i have this weird urge to build a GDI Juggernaut as a tri linked quake cannon wielding Titan. with some heavy bolters on it for self defense. It would probly be totally sratch built as Titans are freaking expensive.... even the little warhound ones. That or build the T28/T95, find something to do with the tiny little french tank (what made me stop with him is that his rubber tracks are ubsurdly long and don't fit very well on the hull. )

Anyways, ill get back with some updates on the Zepplin at some point.

My only comment is that you should consider masking off your stripes. It'll make them look a LOT better.

Schrott

Deep inside a fallen Mechanicus factory ship, that had fell from the sky upon Schott centuries ago, a single figure stirred.
The ancient machines onboard the ship had been silent for many years. Now a single soul wandered the corridors alone. The blood colored robes of the Mechanicus preist blended with the red steel of the walls of the sleeping ship. turning to the endless cavern that was the primary assembly hall the priest began to flip switches and turn nobs, all while chanting under his breath the litanies of activation. The ship's spirit slowly awakening heralded the many onboard machines and slumbering servitors jumping to life. A great steam horn bellowed deep inside the ship. "So your finally back?" a voice spoke from behind the priest as he worked. The priest stood and turned his mechanized eyes to the soldier behind him, holding him in regard until giving a haggard sigh that sounded more like pressure released from a hydraulic cylinder. "Cause we still got a lot of work to do, we got another machine that needs fixing" the soldier went on, unsure if the sigh was a good or bad response to his query. A small land crawler soon appered in the assembly hall, pulling the remains of a chimera behind it, with a large assortment of tubes, pipes and more piled in the rear bay, coming to a halt underneath a great mechanical claw that once lifted the turrets of the venerable Baneblades. "We found this in the tube on the back" The soldier spoke as he approached the tech priest, pulling out old pieces of what looked like parchment, with intricate drawings adorning them. The priest took them slowly and his eyes scanned them quickly, before looking up to the beaten chimera before him. The priest smiled, or at least he would if he still had a mouth to do so. "Yes" the digital voice of the priest spoke, "she shall be reborn anew, and she will smite the enemies of the Imperium and the Omnissiah". With a burst of static servitors emerged from the woodwork of the ship and others of the Mechanicus arrived in short order.
The 91st Schrott Experimental was back in business.

Im back. I had a long break (I dunno how long or short it was, I wasn't keeping track)
But either way I've started building again. The war zeppelin was a bit much and was daunting (to me at least), so it threw me off and I didn't managed to get much done on it.
But I grabbed a chimera and some tubing and with the rockets from the little French tank I am throwing together a Gryphon Mortar carrier that uses rockets instead of traditional mortar shells.
if nothing else the Rocket Gryphon is a jump start to get me building again.

That and many of my tanks and troops have been damaged. mostly due to gravity or other forces (like being put in boxes that have been moved around a lot)
So I need to repair them.

The Rocket Gryphon.

eventually im hoping to put some crew in the rear.
I saw the new Riptides and giant Wraithknight. Had a silly idea of a large mech to face them down, but the design is just short of a Knight titan. It would be armed with a battlecannon "rifle" and other weapons. I think I had a similar concept of a Dreadknight turned LRBT. but im not if ill get to that if at all.

Schrott

update:

I built a Rocket ammo based Colossus out of the remnants of a Leman Russ.
I recently salvaged a ton of chaos, tau, tyranid, elder bitz and parts. (i.e consolidated my bitz pile) and traded a friend of mine from my local shop for some of his remaining IG (he has Tau, Eldar etc). I got 4 tanks (4 LRBT 1 Exterminator) and 9 HWT of various kinds. I found another old box with more bitz so hopefully I can trade for what remains of the IG.

The new guys, the one turned Colossus is not here.

Anyways, 2 of the LRBT are in poor shape but that's not a problem. I cut, glued and bolted together a Salvaged Colossus mortar from one of the falling apart tanks, instead of the normal huge mortar cannon, it has a cobbled together launch ramp for heavy duty rockets.

I still need to bolt in the heavy bolter (bad pun! ) on the front end to finish it along side covering the hold in the tracks where the sponson once was (opposite side to picture)

The Rocket Gryphon is also finished in terms of construction. I don't want anything really fancy on it besides the rocket mortar and crew in its rear bay. it only needs a base coat and paint.

I also went around and laid out the whole army for a picture. Felt that I needed an update.

Im still not going to sit down and count the points. All I can ever really answer is "A lot"
im sure its a hefty amount.

As for what im going to do to the new tanks im still not sure.
I think the exterminator would make a good steam tank, with boiler and pistons and all.
Perhaps a Microwave tank for an eradicator? shooting microwave pulses that frie enemys in cover. built like the Microwave tank of C&C Generals: Zero Hour.
Another Punisher with a giant 3 barreld gatling cannon turret like it was wrenched from an aircraft?
I dunno. I'll figure it out.
