Thanks man The head is from the sergeant in the dark vengeance kit btw, and actually the only part of that kit I have managed to paint so far :p

Lol.... Just a quick one, the Grenades on his belt don't seem to fit your normal amazingly high standards they look like they've just been painted Boltgun Metal. Did you miss this or something or am I being unnecessarily harsh?

Oh and I've decided to buy a pack of FW Combi-Bolters for my next tranch of Morlock Termies.

Absolutely love! the army to bits. Easily one of the greatest, if not THE greatest armies I've ever seen, amazingly visually pleasing as has been hinted at. This army is definitely an inspiration for my own pre-Heresy/Heresy-era Night Lords. From that pile you have there I say you've got your hands full but that small black box that says Horus Heresy? That's not an Angron model is it? What could Angron have to do with your Imperial Fists..... I am most certainly intrigued now

And Angron, well he's an official Primarch and my brain did not allow me not to buy him as he's absolutely stunning So he'll be painted up for showcase and I've acquired a vinyl plinth to mount his display base on so he can look pretty in my cabinet :p

Just saw this and went through all the pictures. The Pre-Heresy models look great! And I can't wait to see Dorn finished in all his regal glory.
Now, I want a Space Marine Legion. If only my wallet could support such a thing...

This is on my table atm.


Firstly a HQ choice, Sigismund and his personal command squad, meant to resemble the earliest formation of his elite Templars which are refered to in First Heretic I also choose to make myself a new TC01 since the other one moved to the UK to stay with the real TC01, and his replacement will be named Battle Brother Hassan (TC01 is named Mr. Hassan irl). The squad also carries the personal banner of Sigismund.




A couple of heavy support choices, the rapiers are missing their barrels as I intend to magnetize them and make more options.



A couple ofHQ choices, a libby and a chappy :p




Lastly there's a couple of Deimos rhinos, lovely models they are. I've added some more detail and changed the interior to remove the bolter. I also fixed the problem of the notorious loose top doors... Hinges seems to do the trick :p

I just found your blog, tda. Wonderful work! I really like what you've done with the mk III Iron Armour. It really creates a nice theme for your army. I think I'm going to try something similar... I really like the guy with the sword and shield (third picture down).

Oh i hope so , considering it was your admech army that inspired me to start my manufactorum blog Cant thank you enough for the initial inspiration burn a few years back. Vector Raziel is still in my mechanicum thoughts , and if i ever finish the praxus novella i hope you still allow me to include him as the explorator magos of praxus

loving these though , and good timing with the release of all the forgeworld stuff to as well.

Ah tda beautiful modelling as per usual my friend. That command squad is pure win.

I love the little extra rhino details, they just make everything so much better
