im on about the roll bars and the back of the trukk, there's 2 of them, might get rid of them, and the stuff you think is GS is Millput, same thing but much cheaper and better, its comes in about 5 grades, and you get loads more too.

How does milliput compare to greenstuff in terms of molding small details and extra stuff, like a gun or weapon in the hands of a boy or nob? I've only seen you use it for work on corners and plates really, but then again, i've only seen you work on vehicles, and not models.

As far as I can tell, be careful with Milliput. The stuff I got is essentially lumpy play-dough, and stickier than molasses to boot.

Ive used Milliput in the past and loved it. Milliput is not nearly as fine or malleable as GS (at least the Grey-Yellow stuff used here- there is a fine grain white milliput that ive never had the chance to try though).
It is an excellent structural component for plates and stuff, but small detail work is best left to GS. Everything has its place.

PS Trukk is looking boss!

Guys, millput comes in 5 different styles, the yellow stuff i'm using is the cheapest, then it goes all the way to fine, which cost ££, green stuff is good, just from GW its ££££££££££ for a small bit, and when im working on big vehicles there's just never enough of it. i love millput, i was brought up with it, but thats my own reasoning

ahh sorry i should of been clearer, it is only my opinion, i can see Green stuff being very good at a lot of stuff, but there are other thing out there other than Games-workshop product, games workshop think they have whole market covered because all the 10 to 16 year old old buy GW stuff only, some one asked me what millput was not to long ago, and as far back as i can remember millput has be a modellers basic filler/modelling tool, way way way before green stuff. so please dont just think if GW dont do then no one dose it, that is not true, oh and its only a matter of time before you see GW platic card and Tubs.

only my opinion, please remember that, this blog is about tips and hints on MY modelling

love you all

Essentially, for all you who don't follow other P&M blogs- GS is Games Workshop's (successful) attempt to market up-priced product. GS is essentially Kneadatite (sp?)- there's also Grey Stuff, Brown Stuff, Milliput, Pro-Create, and a host of others; just look under 2-part modelling putty, and you'll find places that sell entire tubs of stuff for less than you'd pay for a roll of GW GS.

Yuuuup! I, for one, only buy the Kneadatite in separate tubes. it makes it last longer- the GS bands that are side by side start to cure after a while!!
I get mine at the Warstore.

@Kjellk: I don't think its that hard to figure it out.... to me it looks like a deffkopta with two plasticard wings and a nice rear end stuck on it, with tubes as hinges
and of course plenty of rivets!

thinking about it, I might actually copy it if I find a spare kopta!
