I like your planning... also all that already weathered additions look extremely promising!

update so far

ok i have a good flat surface now to work on, this will make it mega easy now to do what i want to do, in my opinion this was the hardest and most boring part of building this, now its fun fun fun

i still have big holes in the side of it, im not sure if i want it to be a boat boat/ship or a airship/hover craft ship thing, not 100% where to go yet, so im leaving this open as a gun port, almost sure we are going airship again like the Belly Buster

and again at the back, not sure yet where im going with this, we will see

ok this is the only plan written down lol, im going to turn it into 3 parts, for ease of build and so i can take it apart too. the dotted line is me being undecided where to start sec 3, as this needs to be big ish for the heli's

so here is the plan on paper on the airship

again tips or what to do next would help lol

Get a chair a large stock of alcohol and drink till you pass out

I would go airship myself its more appealing, start the section with the highest point then build outwards hope that helps

I don't know if the paper shape is just a rough guide but the front section looks a little to round for Orks, just my opinion I would go for a straight end rather than curved but cut at an angle.

also... are you really palnning of sawing that thing apart into three parts then?... oh my... that´ll hurt^^... but i think it is a good plan...

Fething awesome.

Wouldn't a blimp get in the way of incoming Koptaz? Maybe multiple blimps, on outriggers? I prefer giant props ala avengers. Or giant ork rokkits, holding it up.

hurhurhur...

actually plans are in the making... i recently had to scratchbuild a bigger building for schoolwork... and that involved making round shapes ...wich in essence could be used as the blimp for a new try to make an airship^^

thanks again guys , keep all the comments coming, i am paying attention , and i am going to work some of your idea's into this model.

Update time

OK guys and gals, i've set it in stone now, this is the shape i've gone for, this is now the basic model done, its very thick plastic card on top, and i've added magnets so it fits like a glove, only the top part will come off and on, i have no intention of sawing my ship into 3 lol (who ever said that, not naming names hahaha ) so i have gone for a more ship shape front.

sec 3 will be the heli area, i need to take my choonorks in to work with me to get it set up right, so this part is not set in stone yet

a bit of detail work going on here, this is the underneath, some nice Rivets going on here, tock an hour to do this, bloody Rivets

and here it is sitting all nice and snug, where the line is, i am thinking of making an ice braker thing to go there, just to give it a more orky look and to add some shape.

still not sure what im doing here at the back, seen some nice FW bombs that Grots sit in that a friend of mine has, may well do some sort of engine blade thing with them bombs on sliding down the middle of it.

Better and better!

I think that a couple of huge propellers and a lot of exhausts pipes would be perfect for the back

What about giant paddlewheels? Put them at an angle on the sides, maybe make them spiky buckets (like that giant bucket-wheel mining machine)...

And the front could have an Aerial Deffrolla...

i think some big ass engines will be the key, as for big blades on them, not sure yet, maybe inside or some thing.

will be looking at 2 smaller side engines at the front and 2 big at the back, we will see

OK guys thanks again for the comments, keep them and the names coming, for a name, I'm looking for an Orky British navy names if that's possible

ok i made the lift platform, i will at some point make the room below it and the lift thingy ma-jig, it will look good (i hope)

as you can see, it is tight on the back, might build a bigger heli pad, will see how things go with this.

got the basic shape to the back today, still dont know what to do, will play with it at a later date
