Oh yeah! Much better! Sandbags could benefit from an additional light highlight still, maybe some white weathering powder, or bleached bone or light colored drybrush?

Hmm maybe... I'm not sure I have the right paint/skill for that. I've tried before and usually end up with to much paint on the brush.

I'll be taking pics and posting new stuff after I get home from work tomorrow. (I've picked up a 2nd job, third if you count the webstore working at a local theater's box office.)

Thanks Dave! BTW folks to avoid cluttering this thread with non creating related stuff IF folks "like" the facebook page for my biz they will get the latest news and promotions... That said. for a limited time only. (october) the vending machines will be on sale for 50% off... thats 5$ each. Happy holloween. On to progress (of sorts) Am going to be molding up the last 25mmx75mm pill bse for outpost 21, and the 40mm beveled rounds. I'll get pics up of the last 60mm rounds asap. (need to contrast wash then photo. I've also picked up a container of mould release so I'll be experimenting with true two part molds soon.

Careful layering. (Prime Black) 1. AB Paint concrete 1A Dark grey (Pewter gray, applebarrel paint thinned) 1B Light Gray (Gris, applebarrel paint thinned) 2 AB Paint Mettallic color (model air aluminum) all plates and such 3 AB Dark green (Hunter green, applebarrel paint thinned. roughly same as Dark angels green) in patches on the mettalic 4 AB Light green (olive drab craft acrylic thinned. Roughly equivalent to old GW camo green) in the dark green patches 5 Heavy Wash centered on metallic paint patches. of watered down Liquitex "burnt umber" apx 8-10:1 water paint (pretty much exactly the old GW Scorched brown) 6 Wash of Liquitex Raw sienna 10:1 but chunky water to paint (leave little chunks of paint in the wash they will randomly diffuse out) centered on the areas previously washed with the burnt umber. run watery wash into nooks and crannies to wick pigment into the places that water would naturally flow. Now on to Pics... Ive gotten a few more bases PiP and blacked the edges of a few. Outpost oval 1     Outpost oval 2   Outpost 60mm 1     PiP Outpost 60mm 2     Outpost 60mm 3     Outpost 60mm 4     and Ive washed the last of the outpost 60mms Outpost 60mm 5     Outpost 60mm 6

What "wastelandy" features are you looking for? After I get the "arctic" bases done I'll be getting back into terrainy bits. Also I've just made my first 2part mold... have discovered that I should probable go back and redo the vending machines in a 2part mold as well... well we'll see when I get around to that. I'll post pics once I've gotten a few airtraps ironed out.

Those may be frozen, but the cracked surface works really well for wasteland ground IMHO.
