Probably no new stuff for sale at GenCon. Game Salute wants them to be all finished and in the retail boxes before they'll sell them to stores and at cons, and I think the boxes are still being printed. Plus we'd rather make sure all the backers got their orders before they start selling them. They will be selling the original starter sets and the rulebook though, just not the stuff from Rebels & Reinforcements.

But I will have the new models for demo games and the gang war friday and saturday if you want to check them out in person

I'm not sure if Game Salute will have a demo going at their booth, I won't be there .. my demos will be at the game salute gaming area in Hall E. At 1, 2, 3, and 4 PM there's 1-hour demo events you can sign up for... but I think they might be all sold out. I think you can buy some kind of generic ticket that you can use if someone signed up doesn't show. I'm also going to see if I can set up extra boards if there's space.

The gang war is also a sign up event for 8 players, everyone gets a 5 man gang, you get split into 2 teams and fight right in the middle of Main Street on a cramped 2x8' board. Whoever gets the most kills will get 2 sets of our custom dice (1 set from each campaign we did) and possibly some other prizes.

I'm saving up now, hopefully next year I'll have my own booth in the dealer area

So, I'm headed out to GenCon this week and I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. I won't be at a dealer booth, I'll be running demos and a special Gang War event in the Game Salute gaming area in Hall E. If the printer isn't too slow I should have a big sign right by where I'll be.

I believe all of the demo events and the gang war are sold out, but if space permits I might be able to set up a couple of extra demo boards. You have to have a ticket to play though cuz of screwy con rules. So any $2 generic ticket will work, or you can also use a ticket for another event you decided not to go to I think, however people that actually signed up for the demo and gang war events get first dibs.

Weather you come to play or not feel free to stop by and say hi Also, all original BWG models and the rulebook will be for sale at the Game Salute dealer booth #1735. We can't sell any of the new models until all of the Kickstarter orders go out, so they won't be available at the con unfortunately (and Game Salute says they'll start shipping when they get back from the con). I'll also have a handful of the new blue colt 45 dice for demos if you want to see em they came out real nice.

New shipping update from Game Salute!

Hey folks,

We're gearing up for shipping! Just a reminder: if your address has changed since you completed the pledge manager, please shoot an email by High Noon, Thursday, August 28th to:

Service@gamesalute.com, subject: "Blackwater Gultch backer change of address"

The packing and shipping process will likely stretch into next week, but you can expect email tracking information as soon as yours is out the door!

-Jon

Game Salute just posted a shipping update today. Looks like everything is going to start going out on Wednesday

Whew.
That took a bit longer than expected! My apologies. This campaign is a bit... expansive. The number of potential combinations and individual attention required for each order made things a bit hard to estimate

Up to this point, the warehouse crew has been focusing on organisation and prep - this means packaging gangs and solo pieces separately in readiness for picking and packing. The prep work is wrapping up today, and I am told that packing/shipping will proceed in force first thing Wednesday.

I'll send you folks a message when this begins! Given the scope of the packing process it may take some time before yours is on its way to you, but as soon as it leaves our warehouse you'll be receiving tracking information via email.

-Jon

I'll also be posting the rules update / errata PDF in the next couple of days

So you are saying it would be rude to rub this box in my face and enjoy my precious metal models.

Pics coming. Although it appears I am missing some models already. Only 3 models in my bag for the Tranquility Crew

Seems like the bonus bag came with some bonus models from the first KS also.

Edit: Yup, got the extra set of 3: The Norwegian, John Blackwood, and Mickey Finn

Edit 2: Missing Captain Nathan Reinholdt and Adam James

Doh! Sorry you were missing some :( send an email to service@gamesalute.com and they will take care of it.

You were supposed to get the guys from the first KS, they were included in the "all bonus items" thing for higher pledges. So if already have them you can use them for conversions or just extra guys in your gang

Emailing them in a bit, had to take pictures of it all.

Good to know we were supposed to get them. Probably better trade items for me then anything. Maybe use them to convince someone to pin some stuff more, since I can never figure pinning out.

Edit: Posted some pics and some initial comments on the whole project here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/553614.page

Got my stuff in too - and everything was there except for a missing "Mickey Finn" model.

Got his card and a base, but no miniature.

I know. At least you will love them when you get them in. Other than a few minor tweaks, everything goes together like butter.

Sw is just like butter. Needs just a bit of heat to become optimally malleable and is great for a lot of things, as long as you just don't try to use it as a game/food on it's own

Hoping to get my gattling gun (oh, and some dudes) on saturday going by usual postage times, mail gods willing.

Sorry about the missing stuff :( I guess they rushed to get everything done and weren't careful enough. Hopefully these will be few and far between.

Anyway, still email service@gamesalute.com if there's anything wrong with your order. if you email me all I can do is forward it to them it's probably more efficient for them to deal directly with you.

Just to save some emails, go to http://gamesalute.com/support/missing-or-damaged-parts-form/ and fill it out. They emailed me back and told me to use that form.

Necros, I wouldn't sweat some missing items. It is packed by humans and there are bound to be a few pieces missing. With all the models that were coming in and getting everything packed, it happens. At least the models look fantastic.

Wait, so this isn't the Sedition Wars thread?

The tweaks more come on models that arms need to move a bit. One of the hired guns needed his arms bent a bit to get the other arm to fit properly, but nothing as bad as SW.

All righty then! My box just arrived and all three of the gangs I ordered are complete and look good. All the kickstarter extras are complete and also look good.

Now a quick question.... I bought a hard copy of the rule book WAY BACK when you first had them, before you had the miniatures line. I know I can get a PDF with the updated rules, but I'm a hard copy type of guy. so...

How much of a difference is there between the set I have and what you offer now? (mine is a soft cover with a 2011 date inside if that helps)

Thanks!

Jake

Is your book the big original book that was print-on-demand? Or the small format sized softcover? the latter is current and the same book that was in this campaign too. It's a small sized book like the kind you get in the GW starter boxes.

If you still the original bigger book it should still be fine, there were only a few tweaks .. the biggest change was that you can only lose 1 HP from any attack, it's not like before where every missed save = 1 HP, and usually instant death

There were some other tweaks with the new PDF I just made, but these won't be in the printed book. Nothing earth shattering or game changing, just a couple of small fixes and the rules for Engineers and artillery, but all the rules you need are on the cards anyway.

It is the original bigger Print On Demand version.

Thanks for the summary of what has changed.

So about an hour (maybe 2) after using the missing/broken pieces form on the site, I had an email saying everything was packed and shipping out.

Great handling all around. Can't wait to have them in here. They will be the last models I have to put together before I prime everything!

Well, I still have not received my email from Game Salute.
I did receive my stuff in the mail today, though. LOL

I haven't done a piece-by-piece check yet, but everything looks to be there at first glance.

I'm looking forward to digging in!

Both emails mentionned my full order. It seems to be in Londonderry, NH, at the moment. A mere 4.5 hours away by car (barring hassle at the border crossing).
