In other news, a long standing problem with DarkSphere is still ongoing... after at least two months of not recieving £50's worth of goods, going through a paypal dispute, and several dozen emails... I still don't have my goods, a refund or a bloody replacement.

I advise anyone to stay clear of them, in a massive way...

been reading their pdf rulebook today and it seems quite fun as well!!!

to be honest... i don´t like them... they are characterful... that is clear...but i couldn´t really begin to like them...

didn't expect anyone to not like their mini's... what is it about them that you don't like?

i see the referrences to certain asien movies... tho these didn´t appeal to me really... i know this sounds a bit pissing against the wind... but the look is too ...well rotten/ weathered grumpy looking.... it´s hard to place really... i see the last pics the red demons... they have a bit of a hellboy vibe... but that is all i could get warm with... if i try hard...

this ancient asien theme is really not my piece of cake to be frank... but i assure you...i will nevertheless comment on these once you start painting them^^ taste and paintjobs i can seperate

Haha fair enough, the reason I'm drawn to them is because of the heavy Japanese style. The Shinto mythos is something that appeals to me in a massive way, especially the creation story, I also happen to take a strong element of Shinto as my view on the world but thats another story altogether I think the paintjobs on the models do let them down a lot unfortunately, but when I look past them, I see some really good ideas in place with them, that a good paint job would really help with imo. I may as a birthday pressent to myself in January buy one of the starter sets to do as a break from the tedium of Tyranid's lols

actually the middle section and some parts of the last range dont look too shabby for me... The Prefecture of Ryu as a whole... and some pieces of The Temple of Ro-Kan look quite decent... the furry damsel for one is quite funny^^

the prefecture of Ryu is a little too rigid and old world samurai for my tastes in a game, and Ro-Kan is a tad comical again for my tastes, but also its too chinese, and my likes are more japanese. trust you to be a dirty old man and like the Fox-Lady
