I really (x2) like "Mineko Kitsune Geisha" and "Fox-ronin Miyamoto"!!
(although I don´t get the Kuro one - and Taiho would have looked a lot better with a Tetsubo).
This is what GW Nippon minis should have looked like!

The Jeniffer mini is also really nice (in a different way).

At first I was like "oh that's pretty good" and then I noticed the goblets and that it's mostly freehand and I was like "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN"

Edit: Don't know if it's true, but on the FB of the painters he says that for the glasses, they put a small light bulb and epoxy resin.

I don't if know hese minis are all sculpted by the same persons, but they are, imo, among the best on the market. Really really impressive stuff.

It is absolutely fantastic. The only thing which I think lets it down is the base. She looks like she should be in some kind of stately parlour, not a place which has those kinds of cobblestones or a drain nearby. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic!

That's more of a conceptual thing though isn't it?

I actually think it contrasts nicely with the ostentation of her; even though you have all these guilded golden elements, the wine, the ornamentation there is still a 'grubby' feel to the piece, mixed in with the disturbing floating baby cherub things! You get the feeling she would still scrap in the dirt before sticking a golden hairpin in your eye

That's simply one of the most outstanding examples of miniature art I have ever seen. I can't imagine how long and how much effort must have gone into it, the artist has a supreme talent that's for sure.

I just feel that the dark colour of the stones kind of detract from the vivid colours of the model. If I were to paint this as well, I probably would have chosen a parlour with polished wooden floor, plush carpet, and perhaps a chaise lounge, with golds and deep red velvets. But that's just me
