Wow, looking really awesome! By the way, the broken Eldar character is mentioned to have had brainsurgery, will you be adding scars on the back of his head as well?
Possibly, I am not sure about the future of that character. I am working on a concept for a slaver who would fit nicely alongside the broken eldar but at the moment I think I am just going to make the models and then think about who goes in what gang later. Head scars would make sense if the Admech guy has operated on him and I really like the idea of an Eldar who has fallen very far from his usual dignified position. Automatically Appended Next Post: I put this guy together the other night, a human bomb:
Not sure he will be used for games but I couldn't resist the concept. The face will be a deathmask/encouragement helmet.

The face is not done enough for that, this is really rough. I am thinking of a cross between a hannibal lector mask and an arco-flagellant helmet. He does look quite hilarious at the moment, I think he will look a bit less comedic painted up.

I think the Hannibal lector face guard maybe, but paint a smiley face on LOL that way it don't matter if it looks comedic either way still great looking conversion fits the look perfectly

I wasn't happy with my Inquisitor (you can see the first version on p19) so I redid him quite substantially. His pose was too static before, and a bit awkward but the main problem was that he just looked too similar to Fabius Bile. As I really want to keep the coat and the head and the position of the legs can't really be changed, the only way left to really change the model's silhouette was to change his arms. After a lot of playing around I came up with this:
As you can see has wrapped up warmly. I am very pleased with getting the parts to fit together, the wizard arms fit well but I had to do quite a lot of GS work to make the cloak join up at the back (it looks a bit odd but that is only because it has been sanded smooth). I am not sure he really looks much like an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor any more, or at least he now looks a bit grander and ostentatious. I have decided not to try and come up with personalities until after they are painted as so much can change in the meanwhile.
I think he is maybe a bit OTT for Inq28 which tends to be quite understated, he has a bit of a 90s special character pose going on and the giant I on his cloak makes him look like a wannabe superhero. But with a suitably understated paint job I think he will be fine.

I like the Inquisitor, very nice! I will agree with you about the giant "I" on the cloak, although perhaps being a bit overstated isn't such a bad thing- particularly if you're going with someone hardline puritan (say a Monodominant all about flashy displays of humanity's grand achievements and the like.) Looking forward to seeing him painted up. I assume with all the tubes going to the left side of his chest he's got some form of cybernetic heart?

Wow, I really love the updated look of your Inquisitor, Bruticus!

To tell you the truth, I would actually like to see more grandiose, larger-than-life Inquisitors in INQ28. All the shadow war-stuff is well and good, but on its own, it gets stale just as quickly as the jingoistic, OTT, 90s special characters I think it's really important to utilise both sides of the spectrum, and building a overtly powerful and boastful Inquisitor is a very viable avenue to explore. Plus it can be a ton of fun as well.
Having your Inquisitor look that way also doesn't mean he has to be a monodominant blockhead (also that can be fun as well): See PDH's Callydia Benadice for a monodominant that actually uses the show of power to masquerade the fact that she's a rather shrewd thinker underneath it all.
Anyway, great work! Looking forward to seeing more!

What Kraut said. It great to see a inquisitor with some style and a sense of the theatrical. He will stand out amongst the other inquisitors. You can never trust a fancy inquisitor.

The shadow war/shades of grey stuff appeals to me but I think there is plenty of scope for less subtle personalities. I think my Inq can have a complex character despite his bombastic appearance - my comment about him looking slightly out of place was more to do with the pose of the model, waving his sword in the air in a classic 90s pose while every other inquisitor stands around looking shrewd. I did debate for a while about whether he was too OTT but when it comes to making models I generally go for quite over the top figures anyway, he's lucky he doesn't have a chainsaw hand to be honest.
Personality-wise I don't have it locked down yet. I do really like the idea of a flamboyant Ordo Xenos inquisitor, all dressed in exotic animal furs. But I am not sure if that will fit anymore - I think my Xeno conversions have been cut from the gang.

Love the new look to your Inquisitor! (A few pages back, I called him as Mephiston... but you used Fabius Bile... whoops)
I especially like the cloak - the Inquisitor symbol is a nice touch but the sanding and overall form of the cape is what gets me the most. That, and you kept his awesomesauce mustache + goatee/beard combo.

Posted this on your Ammobunker thread, but I'm not sure how often you check that one so I am reposting here:
I like where the Inquisitor is headed now. Loud, bombastic and in your face has a place in the Inquisition as well!
You mentioned feeling like the =I= on his cloak looked like a superhero emblem to you. I have an idea about how to reduce that impression (I think so, anyway). Forgive the quick and dirty edit job, but I think this shows what I mean fairly well:
If you are feeling up to it, some sort of freehand above the =I= in the middle of the cloack and a nice decorative border will add to the effect, in my opinion.
All good stuff here, and I look forward to seeing more.

I think the superhero thing is at least partially down to it being a gold I on a green cloak, hopefully when it is painted it will not be so bad. I am not sold on positioning it lower like you suggest, partially because I doubt I could even get it off if I tried and partially because then it looks like it should have another bit of brass etch above it. Not sure.
I haven't decided on a colour scheme yet, but I am not sure he will be all that flamboyant. His clothes are likely to be quite worn and dirty from all the intergalactic Inquiring he has has been doing.

I'm not sure about moving the gold =][= down, but if you ever did decide to ditch it for some freehand you might try something like the border and symbol on 54mm Covenant's jacket. I couldn't begin to freehand that, but more power to you if you're feeling ambitious at some point
Also, and you may have mentioned this and I missed it, but did you decide which warband the human bomb would belong to? Seems like a fairly radical weapon on the one hand, but on the other I can see it being an intense penance/suicide cult within the Imperium. Seems to me there was an article for a cult along those lines at some point... likely with far less explosives though. I'm tempted to make something similar for when my friends want to bust out the Space Marines in Inquisitor.

Human bombs were an actual thing back in Rogue Trader, there were even models. They were part of the penal legion, and I think they were usually criminals whose crimes were so severe that this was the only way for them to get some redemption. I only made the model for fun really but if I was ever to use it the plan was that the Arbite I made would be his minder/detonator.
I really like his pose, might end up using the model for something slightly different so I can game with it a bit more. Automatically Appended Next Post: Here's something else I am working on, my Ash Wastes gang. They aren't going to be a typical Ash Waste Nomad gang, I picture them more as murderous pirates. This is a juve:
I am really really happy with this guy so far, Juves are the hardest models to make in Necromunda but the wood elf head works great - it might be a female head but it works just as well for a teenager I think, and everyone knows teenagers in hoodies are evil. I like to pose Juves as if they are scouting as that is mainly what they do in games (I suppose I should pose some diving heroically in the way of machine gun fire as well).

Yeah the torso is a flagellant - one of the better sculpted plastic torsos in my opinion. The various chains look quite punk as well.
I was very influenced by Scarper's gang with this dude yeah, I went into it imagining the sort of people that Scarper's gang would be trying to avoid.
Now I just have to try and not get distracted by too many other projects, although I have one more member of my Inq gang to do and it is my most ambitious build yet. Time to do some painting soon too I think.
