Take the guy who claimed to have seen a release schedule with Tyranids on it back in November. That can't exactly have changed during play testing...

I think it has been shown pretty clearly that if you are making up rumours, your accuracy score will be *at best* inversely proportional to the amount of "rumours" you post. If you are selective and don't post a lot, you can get a reasonable percentage right, but once you go for the "throw enough crap at the wall" approach, it's going to drop fairly quickly.

The new starter set for warhammer fantasy 9th edition set to be released this summer will contain orcs and goblins and empire. The set will contain mounted riders for empire and gunners. Night goblins and orcs with a river troll for O & G. There is set to be around 50 models in this set with more than said here.

Note this is from a good source though the models content is not tor definite.

There seems to be another guy caught up in necronspurs2012's spoiler-window too.

Regarding current rumours, I find it quaint to imagine FW, who don't have any interest in doing FB, doing the Hobbit stuff.

Quite honestly - the failure pretty much across the board for Nid rumors has really turned me off to believing anything I hear outside of my own sources at this point. There was so much wish-listing, of which the majority proved to be false...

Was really looking forward to pooping out 4D6 gaunts with no chance of getting constipated! I would have paid hefty for that biomorph!

Thanks for putting in all the work on this, it takes the "wild west" rumor scene and makes it much more manageable with being able to do a near-instant check of any rumormonger's record.

You know, reading through this just demonstrates how well GW have clamped down on leaks in their various departments and how well they have compartmentalized different elements of the design process.

What the nid release seems to have demonstrated to me is that unless the source is direct out of the studio (for rules), or some has actually seen artwork or a model most of the rumors are now just made up. The chances of anything being truely real 3months before a release is very slim or is just guess work.

It really seems to me that the good ol' leaky like a sieve days (you Mr Thorpe, looking at you) had definitely long past.

I don't know that it says that. It says that there are people with good sources who will give good information and there are people who want clicks/hits and will make up anything they can.

Look through the tracker and you'll be able to see the difference.
