Yes, I think looking back to your art work it needs a little beefing up the barrel section looks a little puny to me, just seems a shame not to give it a little tweak after all with your talent (I hate you in a good way ) would not take much for you to achieve.

Thanks for that Ize, thanks so much, now because of that lovely work I caved in and ordered one of the Nurgle Lord minis(special AdMech arco-flaggellant here we come ), which was a really bad idea after I just spent eighty quid at FW - nevermind beans on toast, next week I'll just be eating toast
EDIT: Oh aye, I meant to thank you guys (sincerely this time )for your "Ambient Imperium" blogpost, really intriguing, Uncanny Records is a goldmine. The Adeptus Mechanicus is proving difficult to source solid tracks for though, nothing seems to have the right mixture of sounds to my ear.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.
"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

So Hagard and the Færwyrd are now finished and ready to rumble. Withaout any longer speechess, here they are....
+ Hagard & The Færwyrd +
Some more shots and a short story can be found from our blog Spiky Rat Pack...
The result is very much ispired by the conversions made by John Blanche, PDH, JRN and Migsula. I believe I would have never started working on this thing if it had not been the awesome work these guys have done with their Chaos Nurgle Lords.
As usual, I chose to paint the skin very pale (or Nordic if I may say so). I used a lot of time to paint the skin as I wanted it to have the same kind of graphical effect that John Blanche has in his minis... Metals were paint to look like really worn and rusty. Rust then works pretty well with the reds of Hagard's pants and purity seals. Hagards eyes are pale white with a hint of red in them too, indicating that the guy might not have the best eye-sight for the job - but his soul is full of hatred and that is just enough for him to wield the infamous Færwyrd.
This time I also put some more effort for the actual photoshooting. The idea for the black reflecting surface came from Tammy of Tear's of Envy (cheers!). The black shiny surface gives a touch of class for the work. I also decided to add some flavour to the background by dropping a small dark box on the back. It brings a nice element of scale and also works as a mood bringer.

I use mainly Citadel paints and washes, but also have some of the acrylics in tubes (just add water, so to speak). I also use Winsor & Newton inks to boost the colours.

I've recently bought some Liquitex acrylic inks, which I intend to experiment with for filters/blendings.
Now you got me curious, what exactly do you mean with "boost the colours"?
Could you explain that and maybe give an example?

Here's the radio silence killer....
+ Sergi the Slasher +
Sergi is a cunning personality, whose two-faced nature makes him a very untrusty henchman. But stealthy throatcutter as Sergi is, Inquisitor Cassar has seen much potential in this murderous character, keeping him in a leash of dept.

Thanks Neil! I've started to limit the colours that use in my projects to help find my style, so maybe that's one of the reasons why they are starting to look so cohesive. That and my lack of imagination in colours

Imo the limited palette is the most prominent appeal of your works. I haven't had the balls to go that reduced yet, but I absolutely adore it when others do it.

Fantastic. The head is especially characterful. It's so well painted it is hard to even recognise it as the standard flagellant head, it looks like some new, HD version. And the grimy armour looks great too. I think the big hand needs a story behind it though.

Howdy!
The Punk Moth project is still alive! The Caterpillar phase (building terrain for our scenario) has been laying on my workbench for a bit too long, gathering dust. I decided get this ball rolling again so I started building ruins, bunkers and garbage like a rabid squirrel, getting this project back on track.
While building the scenery I got some neat ideas how to spice up the terrain with little details, giving it some more depth to the surrounding that where Cassar and Pherion will have their confrontation. Here's the primed sector at the moment...
More insights to follow!

Oh thank the Maker!! I'm glad to see you're back in action!
The new building looks great - I love the cans and tires, even moreso than the Hydra flak cannon emplacement.
Question - in your first picture, you have that dirt-creep going up the crevice of the buttresses (next to the door) - what did you use for that? It looks really good.
Looking forward to more!
