I don't know. My favorite has to be Morghoul's fight with his
predecessor. That was some whack stuff.

Patience. Perhaps we'll have some pictures of the model itself from TempleCon to ease your appetite

Do they set up shop at Templecon?

I know they don't for Adepticon.

The sculptor has some more pics of the green sculpt on his Deviant Art profile, that might give you some idea about the details on the actual model.

Cyp and Malf, they didn't sell anything unreleased last year, nor did they have a shop.

I don't believe they are listed on the vendor page. But I'm hoping to get a look at some upcoming things like we did last year.

They're doing a keynote speech on Friday, so it's pretty much guaranteed we're going to see SOMETHING new.

Ah, so first pre-release sales would still be Lock and Load. Excellent.

Just in case anyone hadn't heard this: as of a few weeks ago, both the Archangel and the Mammoth were anounced to be delayed by a month:

http://privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?141130-Archangel-and-Mammoth-both-delayed-by-a-month

This went out in an email to retailers.

The following is an update to the solicitations for February, March, and April.

PIP 73068 Archangel--Legion Gargantuan has been moved from February to March.
PIP 74066 Mammoth--Skorne Gargantuan has moved from March to April.

lgenstilch posted this today:

Didnt see this posted as of yet.

The War Store sent me an email earlier today with this information.

"The February Privateer Press Releases have a street date of next Wednesday. The Legion of Everblight: Archangel Gargantuan (PIP 73068) originally announced for February has been moved to a March 27th street date."

So, it looks like end of March for those of you waiting on Archangels!

I think this is the first time I ever heard about an official delay for a wargaming model. I'm used to it with movies, books and videogames, but I've never seen it here.

It's happened several times with PP stuff. The unfortunate side effect of announcing your releases Months in advance and then something not coming together as planned.

Really? I lost count of delayed minis announcements all over the industry... And I'm not even mentioning KS's... It's quite a common thing mate.

Oh yeah, sometimes they're even hilarious, like what happened with the light-armored Mobile Infantry for Starship Troopers for Mongoose. Turns out their Chinese contractor cut the mould in 3-up scale, which meant the entire thing was ruined and useless, costing the companies involved tens of thousands, not to mention missed sales.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

You have an interesting sense of humor, Aggie . But it's true, there are some fascinating reasons behind the delays at times... I don't know if more details on this reason came out in the PP thread linked to above or not.

Well, you have to admit, Mongoose getting miniatures that are three times the requested size is a bit farcical, in that Spinal-Tap way.

Wurrrrrrrt? I know very little about this game, but a warlock on a battle engine? That's cray!

It does provide some unique challenges

"So, do please come along when we're promoting something new and need photos for the facebook page or to send to our regional manager, do please engage in our gaming when we're pushing something specific hard and need to get the little kiddies drifting past to want to come in an see what all the fuss is about. But otherwise, stay the feth out, you smelly, antisocial bastards, because we're scared you are going to say something that goes against our mantra of absolute devotion to the corporate motherland and we actually perceive any of you who've been gaming more than a year to be a hostile entity as you've been exposed to the internet and 'dangerous ideas'. It's an interesting package. Wind Wall will help keep her alive, but the problem is, it'll shut down herown ranged attacks so ideally, she wants to be killing dudes, and then use Blood Boon to cast WW with the last one. Which works fine so long as the target doesn't use a kill-denying ability like Self-Sacrifice, isn't undead or a construct (Cyriss & Cryx say hi) or makes a Tough check. Her ability to shoot through bases is going to be bad for support crew like Choir or Beast Handlers, and being able to throw out three magical sprays in addition to her usual attacks has real crowd-control potential. The feat will mainly frustrate armies with lots of multi-wound stuff (heavy infantry, jacks, beasts, gargs / colossals), but little to actually stop them, so she'll need nut-cracking potential elsewhere, in the form of melee beasts.

(edit) Nope, on reading closer, the attacks are simultaneous, so you could just trigger Wind Wall on the first kill you get, then fire the other two.

Ride-by attacks from cavalry (move, shoot, move back) could be nice, though. Should be a fun/interesting caster to play.

Is that worth starting a new thread for ?

Well there has been, and will be more, stuff for the next Warmachine book. It's just been scattered around other threads like how this non-Gargantuans release was stuck into the Gargantuans thread.
