With that info, then....

Where is that ork happy dance icon?

Excellent conversion, BTW. Top notch, to be sure.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

The only issue I had with Bones and conversions exists with other light materials like resins and plastics...that is one of balance.

I did a conversion of the minotaur to include a big axe instead of the sword. The axe was metal and he kept falling over. I had to put a fair amount of weight in the base in order to keep him standing up. The arm hasn't shown any signs of sagging though, and other than the balance issues - it is very easy to work with (cuts cleanly and takes superglue like it was made for it).

Yep, Balance is the only issue I could forsee. That's fairly easy to fix though. I put a penny or nickel on the bottom of most all my plastic figs.

However, for really imbalanced metal or plastic/metal figs I keep a stock of lead fishing weights in my hobby gear. With a big pair of pliers or a hammer it's easy to flatten them to fit under the base, and you can easily glue a couple on the side opposite the imbalance to make it steady.

A lot of those prices are wrong... and yet, they are so comforting - miniatures are becoming an impulse purchase again!

The Auld Grump, I remember $0.50 Prussians, and $0.75 wizards....

Has this been posted here? I don't remember seeing it... it just showed up in the comments over on the Kickstarter. I'm drooling as I watch it.

Spoiler:

Edit - Nevermind, yeah I missed it when it was posted earlier. Derp.

So, Reaperbryan on the Reaper forums said that the list posted here has some pricing inaccuracies (it's legit, but Alliance just didn't price things correctly in relation to Reaper's own MSRPs), so don't count on that being gospel. I will say, I'm freaking so happy I got 2x vampire pledges and most of the options. I'm definitely picking up Rauthoros and the Shadow Dragon once they hit retail.

With this KS project being pretty much wrapped up it's time for this thread to move out of the N & R board.

If someone wants to start up a new thread at the right time for further releases from this company then go for it

a quote from the Bombshell Babes kickstarter thread..

Reaper has just received five semi-trailer loads of plastic Bones figures at their factory and will be utilizing most of their staff to sort all these out for the next couple of months. This may affect our casting schedule as they reallocate their labor pool to these tasks. We are looking at alternatives for casting if this becomes an issue.

Those prices make me feel all warm and tingly from Nostalgia - but still enough above what I paid during the Kickstarter that a big grin is plastered on my face.

anywhere from 50% to 66% depending on what was purchased is what i figure

I believe the stated value for the Vampire package alone at retail was $515. Additions will cause that 80 percent discount to fall a bit probably since I expect most of the big models to be only 2 to 3x what they cost in the KS.

If anyone's interested in trading the chronoscope stuff, let me know.

I'm interested in trading out mine when it shows up. When the time comes, I'll spout out more about it.

Not sure if you are specifically looking to make the trade happen with Dakka members...but Reaper had set up a trade thread on their forums specifically to help facilitate trades like this. You might be able to expand your selection pool a bit there as opposed to here.

I don't know if they are or aren't... but good gravy! If you have not already got them coming from the Kickstarter then order them!

Passing the question on to the Reaper forums though....

Think they were both $10 through the KS campaign, though I would have to double check. The big dragons were more - but those were both what would probably be considered small dragons by Reaper's standards.

One of the nicest things about Reaper, is that they more or less use actual costs to figure out their price points.

It could prove to be an amazing shift once they get their shop set up for in-house plastic production. If it allows them to make a significant increase to their release schedule - then you may well see them start to cut into a lot of the flashier game lines with prices that are impossible to beat.

I hope so - I do like Reaper as a company (even though I have only ever ordered from them once). All the models I have seen (and own) by them have been flawless and well detailed and they seem to have a good sense of humour as well as business.

Well, Bryan over on the Reaper forum has described how they are sending things out when the time comes.

Three palettes - one US, one Canada, one Everywhere Else - when a palette is full it goes out.

Orders are placed on the palettes with the smallest number of items going first. (A Vampire pledge is considered to be one item) Simply because an awful lot of folks only got a single Vampire. (Poor fools!) Inside of that order is by when the Pledge Manager was filled out.

So... mine is going to be a bit down the list -
Vampire x1 $100

Fire Giants x1 $10

Ebonwrath x2 $20

Frost Giants x1 $10

Mind Your Manors x1 $10

There Be Dragons x2 $30

Demons x1 $15

Haunts x2 $12

Deathsleet x2 $20

Undead Giant x1 $10

Clockwork Dragon x1 $15

Red Dragon x1 $10

Fire It Up! x2 $10

Spider Centaurs x1 $10

Fire Giant Warriors x1 $10

Forces Of Nature x1 $15

Jabberwock x1 $10

Nethyrmaul x1 $25

Deep Dwellers x1 $7

Hydra x1 $15

Kaladrax Reborn x1 $10

C'thulhu x1 $10

Mythos Monsters x1 $10

28 items....

I've only just seen the new Bones range properly in a LGS and I'm hugely impressed by the quality and the prices. Given that Reaper isn't widely distributed in the UK I don't see them for sale often and they can be a little pricey.

I bought the Great Worm for £3 today!! And looking online, it's $3 in the US, that's crazy cheap for a figure this large. I liked it in metal but it cost more and it would be pretty heavy. Also there is very little clean up needed on this figure and the detail looks great.

Probably will go back soon and get more stuff.

Garrick the Bold is the best mini IMO

Although i'm $600 in, two vampire sets and every extra + doubles of the bigger extras.
