You may have payed $75, but the total value of miniatures in a Vampire pledge is much higher than that.
Also, NEWS FLASH, most of us reading this thread really don't care that you didn't get your package, or specifically why, we're still waiting for ours as well.

The total value is not what is used for customs declaration, the value is in fact what you paid.
Further to the point, most of us reading this thread really don't care that you don't care someone else didn't get their package, or specifically why.
TLDR: I shared my opinion and thoughts, the same as anyone else on this thread. You don't like it, don't read it.

You're not fooling anyone, you clearly meant the term in a derogatory way. You can put flowers on top of a pile of feces but it doesn't change that it is a pile of feces.
You made a derogatory remark about another people/race/country/nationality/ethnicity and now you want to try and brush it off as something else. Bravo. Simply admit to your folly and move on.

I would like to point out that you're not really giving credit to your cause here man. Wehrkind didn't make the remark, Recruittons did. If Wehrkind told you to get froggy on your government and then said what he said in your post your post would have some semblence of being correct here. Instead you're just coming off as someone trying to create drama where there is none. Much like Wehrkind, I've only ever heard "get froggy" or "feeling froggy" to refer to someone feeling lively or perky, or being anxious to do something. Feeling froggy (from my experience) seems to almost do more with sex , but to get froggy on someone is to be jumpy and anxious, on the verge of starting a fight. You're coming off like an inconsiderate donkey cave because for your indignant reaction to an American colloquialism. So how's about you light a fire under the arses of your government to get things in motion? There it has been said in such a way that no racist or nationalist views can come from them!

You must be mistaking me with Reaper. They should have been on this, it is in no way my job or responsibility.
Implying to us Canadians we should be responsible or doing something to speed it up is ridiculous.
It's akin to me saying, all of you Americans need to pitch in and help bring down that 15 trillion national deficit!!!!!

No, I think some individuals on Dakka need to stop defending these companies and stop implying, the consumer should be doing 'work' or anything similar for the manufacturer they bought it from for free in order to get their product.
Anyone who is implying, this is the fault, responsibility or job of Canadian backers to clear up, not only forget their meds, but their brain.
Reaper screwed up, why are some of you clowns attacking us Canadians over the issue?

Reaper screwed up, why are some of you clowns attacking us Canadians over the issue? We're not attacking Canadians, we're attacking the fact you're getting indignant over a single sentence (the get froggy comment). The reason why I posted the "light a fire under their asses" was because it was a way to get the exact same point across without the "froggy" comment. I realize that you can't do anything to get the government to move faster. Why can't you, as a backer of the kickstarter, instead light a fire under Reaper's ass? I've been trying to get them to speed up my stuff, and I'm not even dealing with the Canadian import issue you are! Calm down dude, they're just toy soliders and monsters that we paid pennies on the dollar for. Edit: Also, thanks for taking the time to read my carefully constructed post to simply pull a single line out of it and use that to fuel your indignation over this entire situation.

Actually, if you live in a representative democracy, you have a person that, you know, represents you in government. They will often send a letter to an agency trying to get things sorted out. If a bunch of canadians all wrote their MPs, it actually could help.
But, you're lazy, entitled, socialists up there, too busy trying to stay warm to actually better your own lives. I mean, if you cared about yourself, you'd just move to the US anyway, amirite?

Yup, I remember getting advertisements during GenCon, and pledging ended like a week after that (August 25th to be exact). The levels of cash they raised and the progress has been staggering, it's just apparently not going fast enough because of the big models :-\

Update from Reaper Bryan on May 15th on the Reaper Forums. I didn't see this earlier. Linky
People that are angry are assuming we knew that the final container would ship May 21 all along.
I'd like to post the timeline as I understood it, and as we posted about it when we began shipping:
**Expected timeline**
~may 25: Shipments begin -> March 30: Next container (A) ships, to arrive late April -> April 15:next container (B) ships to arrive early-mid May -> Late April, Container A in hand, resume shipments after ReaperCon; ALSO final container ( C ) ships to arrive late May -> Early may, ship next phase, using Container B -> Late May: Container C in hand, complete shipping, with an understanding that Early June might be needed for some processing, but we'd know more once we started.
**Actual timeline**
Late April, Container B did not arrive as expected. Customs was the delay, so we held our breath and crossed our fingers and waited for it to arrive, when it was clear that we needed to explain the delay that we had genuinely hoped would not exist, we posted an update. People were angry. Then the Manifest or Container C, which has shipped, did not include all of the items we were missing (this was late last week). We inquired, and discovered that, due to the size of the models, Container C would need to be made into additional containers. A revised schedule was requested, and when one was given, a new update was posted (yesterday). Again, people were angry.
As of this time, Container A is in hand, B & C are on the water, and D & E ship with a window of May 17-21. That's within the week, and I consider that to be good news - much better than the vague "soon" we'd been getting and repeating. We gave the latter date, assuming delays, although to be fair I don't think the earlier date changes timetables much. I'm not sure there's anything we could have possibly done differently. We acted in good faith on the information we had, and continue to do so.
I once again ask everybody to please be civil.

Usually on the water means on the boat before his gets confirmed at the dock. Until the containers hit land it is pretty vague on when they will get there. Once on shore though it is usually just a question of getting them off the boat and only a truck, assuming no problems with paperwork or customs deciding to take a closer look. If the latter, that can take a while.

It was posted on May 15th, and I haven't seen another update since, so I certainly don't know. I'm hoping that it's on land and clearing customs, but my experience with large containers says 2-4 weeks to clear (I haven't had fool with that in 10 years, though).

Well once it's on the water here's what it looks like to get it to US ports. Hopefully they opted for Long Beach so they don't have the extra time for the ship to offload in Long Beach and where ever else it offloads on it's way to Houston. But that's a haul from Long Beach to Texas, so the freight forwarding charge would be hellish - $2-4k per container with that distance.
United States, Los Angeles 20 days
United States, Long Beach 20 days
United States, Houston 32 days
United States, New York/New Jersey 34 days
Those estimates are for Hong Kong, but it's likely shipping out of Ningbo or Shenzhen. And that's before customs gets it's hands on it, so add another week to that, plus a couple days to get the container from the port to Reaper's warehouse dock.
Whenever they say it hops on the boat in China, add about a month to a month and a half for Reaper to have it.

Yea, Long Beach is an absolute bear to ship into. Probably best to ship there and rail it to Houston, though I have had containers sit at Long Beach for over two weeks waiting for someone to figure out what they are supposed to do with it. Never been there personally, but that place must be a huge confusing mess.

Reaper Bryan has previously said containers from China tend to take between 4-7 weeks (average 5) to get to them at Reaper HQ

Having to go through customs isn't a gunarunteed thing, it just happens sometimes and can add a few weeks to the process.

Customs... is a bit of a crap shoot.
I have seen entire shipments of food destroyed because one of the containers being shipped contained *GASP!* HAGGIS!
And, for the record, I like haggis... but U.S. Customs wants to keep us safe from sheep offal....
And I really hope that Canada finishes with the danged paperwork - I swan, the U.S. and Canada Customs services have been in a pissin' contest since 2000.
Not one, or the other, both of 'em, in a battle of the bladders.

I missed this post last week from ReaperBryan: Linky This is the last post he's made, and I haven't seen other news on it.
23 May 2013 - 01:35 PM
Hey, I found two seconds to jump on here and confirm that the last boat is on the water, and I have a scheduled arrival time in hand for when it arrives at the Customs Depot in Dallas. I will not be sharing that precise date, because I cannot guarantee fast clearance through customs, but I promise an Update when it arrives. We have already been in contact with our customs agent to make sure that the required paperwork is pre-filed, and those documents that cannot be filed until arrival are at least filled out and standing by to be faxed. We've learned a few things about speeding things up, and hopefully we've learned enough!
Right now, and this is why I won't be on much at all until Fulfillment is over, I'm working on trying to clear out the factory to make room, put what we do have in place, and set up the lines for fastest possible fulfillment. I'm also working my normal production job, so I've had to sacrifice my time on here with you.
I'm still looking at two more "waves" of shipment - one between now and the final wave, that will include everything we have, and (fingers crossed) the Canadian shipments that aren't waiting for Wave 3. The second wave will be speed testing the system for the final wave, and it should go really fast.
I have no precise dates, but that's kind of where I am right now.
Upshot: Expect not to see much of me until July. I'm Probably not even going to see your responses to this.
Heisler, Qwyksilver, Ladystorm, and Shakandara have my Phone #. For urgent issues, one of them will text me, and I ask that if one of them says "Bryan told me" that you assume they're telling the truth, and that I really did tell them that. I trust them, and ask that you guys give them your support.

Have they official said when a majority of these models will hit retail?
I am in the need of some very specific reaper models, but it appears like many of them (like the spirit of the forest) went from a 27$ metal model to a 7$ plastic model.
I also have seen the blow up over some of the retail prices ending up cheaper than the Bones add-on price so I was just curious if they are basically waiting for the KS to be done before retail models are released?
