Grot, you do realize that Soda Pop has exactly zero moderation ability on Kickstarter's comments page, right? I think you need to stop gaking on the company because you disagree with their "fanboys."

And your point is?

My issue is part in parcel of serious questions that I had that others had as well being outshouted by the catboys. The questions asked almost throughout the project were the same. HOW MUCH IS THIS ALL GOING TO COST. Aside from the substandard treatment, I already posted early on my issues.

The conversation still has not been addressed, except by the vocal few know it alls who have taken over the comments section and pretty much speak for the company. Seeing as they have not taken the opposite opinion- SILENCE MEANS PERMISSION.
So in fact, the commenters are speaking for the project.

I wanted a full set of the SDE guys, the extras, and the sets for each faction. As with others, they continued to add in more streaches without adding them into the front page discussion- In the same way as each and every other CMON project had before. With adding them to just the updates, there is NO listing of how much, just "Give the money and be happy that you did. Its a pledge, your not entitled to anything."

Instead, they would rather crank out updates at the last minute and fleece you later for exactly how much you are going to spend.

But as I said, it is a nonconversation to me, anymore.

When I get my basic 270 buck pledge stuff, it is going on the sell forum for 50-70 bucks a starter, depending on how I feel at the time. I get my pledge back, someone who wants to play now can have the stuff, and eveyone is happy- happy, joy-joy.

One Shot is "iconic" now?

Also, I dunno about you, but I have more than 1 set of clothes.Maybe One Shot does too?

Yes, I am sure you do, so do I but we are talking about a character.

When you design a character, then there are some trademark elements that make the said character that character and not somebody else, when the character relies on body proportions and marks then the clothing can be varied because the characters design focus is the characters body itself, when the characters body is unremarkable, then the combination of their clothing is what defines them.

What makes one shot one shot and not yet another pink/ purple haired lady is her tech googgles, the tech bracers, her hotpants, the aviators jacket and the low boots with knee high socks.

The chibi model shown has nothing of these and could as well be somebody else, what is troubling is nobody else god medievalified for SDE, which makes it even more odd.

Admittedly for a sci fi universe most look quite medieval already, but that's another story.

Well, I was gonna ask you not to start another string of shitposts but you obviously can't hold back. Off to the ignore list with you where you belong.

You have to remember that the other chibi illustrations were made before Soda Pop had the idea of giving them SDE stats. They were intended simply as chibi caricatures for the box cover. The One Shot sketch, which is obviously recent, was done with the full knowledge that this was to be a SDE character.

And what does this means, that the others will be properly medievalified to fit SDE? that the one shot will be the odd one of the bunch and the other will remain as per illustrations?

I do not care they have in mind she will be used in SDE, she has none of her defining clothing, she is just a Jäger with goggles.

I think SPM mentioned though I have yet to find the actual comment that none of SDE concepts are finalised they will be modified to fit the SDE setting so some of the more SciFi aspects will be toned down or changed I think the One Shot concept shows more were they intend to go with the designs.

The SDE Candy and Cola is an example of how they did the transition

The only thing I don't really like about the One shot concept is the hat the rest I can live with but I do think it's the weakest of the SDE character concepts

At 623K, so we're finally on the verge of being done with the SDE stuff - and with 38 hours to go, hopefully this means a few more good RK things to come.

I'd like some more details on what exactly the "Boss' miniatures will be.. but I guess that will be announced soon!

The only mention they ever did was Kasaro was not finalized.

Saying we will make SD versions of the relic knights and give them stats to work in SDE is different from "we will create SDE miniatures that have some resemblance to the Relic Knights and were the theme is true sci fi we will make it medieval"

Also showing illustrations and then sending something different, especially without warning can be considered bait and switch.

Now waiting on the bosses, at least we got a minor snippet they are RK related and not SDE...

The communication is really bad on this kickstarter....

Sorry found the comment it's in the text of Update#34 it related to Malya only at that time so I really don't know about the others apologies if I caused any confusion - it can be hard to keep track of everything some times.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/relic-knights/posts/300102

The SDE special edition version of Malya is now available as a Special Edition Choice! This version may change from the final sculpt to match well within the videogame world of SDE.

My bad then, my apologies, I missed that, then the trend setter was set then, but nobody noticed it because we were more concerned in "relic knight related stuff in the Relic Knights Kickstarter please".

On the same note it makes the SD relic knights streach goals look even more unrelated to Relic Knights and more a SDE streachgoal stuck in.

So if they were omitted we would have reached the second boss 4 stretch levels ago.

Yes, we must.

For you its something you are not concerned, so its something that is getting old and boring and an issue that should not be discussed.

For others its an issue and it has to be discussed.

My issue with the SD versions of the relic knights was they "eat up" stretch goals slots making the actual relic knights progress slower and anecdotal they also served as a funding slow down, since every one of the stretch goals related to SDE relic knights took longer to be achieved, I would have no issue whatsoever if they were a 60$ bundle unrelated to stretch goals as an incentive to add more money, after all I plan on getting SDE at Christmas its a fun game.

But because of bad communication I was under the impression that the art they had shown was what they would be, not an unrelated placeholder that bared no resemblance to the actual product, so the medieval "one shot" was a shock for me at least and makes me fear the other models will again have no resemblance to what they are supposed to look.

So apart from you repeating your thoughts over and over and over, what's to discuss? I'm not saying your points aren't valid, but really, what's the point of repeating yourself?

Unlike with GW, there actually are communications channels you can use to let Soda Pop know about your grievances. This is probably not one of them and all you're accomplishing here is aggravating people who come here for RK news.

So what is do discuss in the relic knights kickstarter thread, beyond the news about it and ones opinion on how it is managed?

I let my opinion known in the kickstarter site too.

in other news the one shot stretch goal finally reached, but we have no update about it and the projects frontage has been left unaltered 3 for 3 goals now.

Or just stop reading comments pages in general. It'll make your internet experience much happier.

Next up Prismatic Candy @$680k

If we hit $680,000, Prismatic Candy unlocks as 2 Special Edition Miniature choices (i.e. she'll take up 2 slots, or $20). But fear not! Even if we don't hit the goal, she'll be available for $30 as an optional purchase.

Candy possesses the ability, "Prismatic Champion", allowing her to lead a cadre fielding models from the factions: Order of the Shattered Sword, Cerci Speed Circuit, and Doctrine

Love the Prismatic Candy! I really hope we reach the goal!
In either way, I just want to see if I got things right.
If I want Saviour of the Universe and an optional extra for $10, I must pledge 135$, right? (100 for Saviour, 25 for shipping, and 10 for the extra). And if I should change my mind and want something more, then I must upp my pledge?

So if Prismatic Candy gets available during the final hours and I'm not able to upp my pledge during that time, then I won't be able to get her?

You should be able to pay for more after it ends.

She's their first knight. She's got that little fox "Cola" who drinks soda.

Oh yeah, I didn't make the connection at first. I guess Cola will be included in some fashion despite it not being shown. And hey, the mecha's cannon looks like a soda bottle!

I've asked about Cola as Candy is know a Relic Knight I'd hope so

"To meet the challenge her cypher, Cola, has at last gifted her with a mighty Relic of her own. Now, soda fueled and sugar powered, Candy races through the galaxy, rallying those of courageous heart and noble deed around her. Darkspace won't know what hit it! "

Soda Pop Miniatures less than a minute ago

Hey there everyone - so, some questions answered:
(1) Candy WILL be general release, we look forward to having her in the rule book
(2) Candy will be mounted on an 80mm base, it may be that some relic knights just need the foot room to spread out, so this might stretch to other kits
(3) As of now, Candy's rules are in a bit of fluxx, but for certain, you will be able to use her as a relic Knight to lead the three faction colors as suggested above - any further mixing, will have to be tested to make sure that noone breaks this wonderful game of ours.
(4) Concept art is not evocative of what the final model will be, this is a VERY early sketch, and I already have our artists working on variations in mecha design and pilot design - but to give you a flavor of what to expect... yes, this is getting close to mark.

UPDATE - Cola is in

I'm liking the new Relic Knight. Hooray for Candy & Cola.

Not liking that it's a $50k jump from the previous stretch goal for a $10 discount on purchasing her.

That relic will need a lot of mould tooling

50K seems a pretty small stretch for that (which is why it's pay not free)
