Fine Kickstarters.

CMON also have their (likely) next Kickstarter lined up with Wrath of Kings

Sour grapes?

Really?

Why?

Anyway... I eagerly await the eventual pledge manager, where even more of my money will go away!

Not too sure it's sour grapes, more that Ogre was a classic.

Not sour grapes! I listed out the most backed miniatures projects, and it goes Sedition Wars, Ogre, Relic Knights, Zombiecide (and of course Reaper way past them all!)

That pretty much lists them in order of how well I thought they were run and how awesome they are, with the exception that I thought Zombiecide should've been above Relic Knights. I like to see good work get rewarded

Given that you backed both Ogre and Relic Knights, I wouldn't think you'd mind either way, Alf . Really didn't mean anything by it other than that.

My mistake then!

I want any Kickstarter that I back to break every record possible, from both a strictly selfish position as it probably means that my dollar will go further, and so that the company in question can do well and continue to support whatever it is I just backed!

Does anyone know if they update the excellent Google Docs spreadsheet to include all the options?

It was updated last night but the link doesn't seem to be working right now. At least not for me. I'll see if I can track down what is up. At the very least once the pledge manager launches you'll have 60 days to use it to manage your pledge specifics.

Also, I'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone here who supported us. We can't wait to get everything made and out to you. Over the coming months we will be sending you updates through Kickstarter, our website, and posting here on the forum (when DaveC doesn't beat us!).

We're also planning at least one more launch of revised beta rules so you'll have even more opportunity to test out the game and prepare for the wide release.

Thanks again!

Deke, would this be the hardcopy QSR rules and cards that were supposed to be at Gen Con, but didn't make it?

After Zombicide, Bones, Sedition Wars and Relic Knights my brother is tapped out. Personally, only thing that could make me do another KS before the end of the year is if someone announces an HD remake of Masters of Magic.

Both. But not to the degree I got into Bones or Relic Knights. And with the PM's coming on line in the next couple of weeks dare I say all four?!?! Personally I 'd like to see a giant listing of my options...I know it's coming soon. It helps me fight off the urge to have every single mini in the line all at once. I want (most of) the cosplays. Penny Arcade stuff I never really followed - but they seem like cool models when one puts it into a now or never type of category. The SDE stuff I'd like to pick up, but will probably add it in sometime in the next two months. Options, options, options!!

Black Diamond's the only faction I've settled on. I'd love to grab the Shattered Sword Paladins but the models for their Sword Sworn minions are really off-putting.

What will the rest of you be fielding? And those of you grabbing all factions, which is/are your favorite?

Even though I'm trying very hard to not spend money on minis this month (!!), I'm still pretty sad I didn't toss $50 in on this. Digging Noh Empire pretty seriously, would love to be getting their stuff in one handy (and cheaper?) package once available

I was going to go all in and get all 6, but the sculpts for Doctrine and Shattered Sword just didn't do it for me.

Specifically, the translation from concept art to model for Doctrine's Relic Knight, and just like you noted, the Sword Sworn for Shattered Sword.

So, if I had to list them in order of preference:

1) Black Diamond
2) Noh
3) Cerci Speed Circuit
4) Star Corsairs

And the Star Corsairs really only made it in towards the end, when some of the stretch specials and add ons were shown...

Cerci Speed Ciruit has the most in one lineup that I like....although I don't like their Betty/Lug/Pit Crew addon. The Royal Wreckers rock the casbah.
Nebula Space Pirates I like Calico Kate, but I'm middle of the road on her minions and the breech canon,
I really like the minions and the boost pack for the Doctrine, but I don't like Kisa/Scratch

Those were the 3 factions I was thinking about buying into....the SSP I don't really like, except for that very last buy in. Noh and BD I like, but not enough to buy into ATM (though One Shot is really cool). Who's know....I sure don't I might pick up BD over the Doctrine starter. I'm sure after all the money is spent I'll have at least one army I can play against an opponent. I do see my buying a lot of the Cosplay's and special ed stuff.

Cerci Speed Circuit, Black Diamond Mercenaries and Shattered Sword Paladins. Traded in the other three. I got a few things that aren't for those groups (Darkspace Isabeau, Wildspace Gabe, Doctrine Brahe), but otherwise just stuck to those three. I'm glad that the Heralds and Sugar Rush/Void Reaper give us alternate leaders, even if two of them (Herald and Reaper) mostly lead forces that I don't have.

Weirdly my friend who went into this wants the exact same three groups.

I had a really hard time and ended up just going in $60 for the SDE mins. I was going to go for all the Doctrine stuff but a few things stopped me. I might end up adding it again or choosing another faction when the pledge manager goes live. But I couldn't find the "perfect" faction for me.

To be fair, barring Cerci with their additional cosplay Marie-Claude Questing Knight, all factions got the same number of Relic Knights, Questing Knights, Elites, Uniques and Minions. Sophie Drake and Mamaro-To were the first two of the next batch of Uniques and although I'm still a little annoyed they weren't included I can understand why they weren't and why Soda Pop didn't say they wouldn't be until the very end.

Find someone who did and force them to watch re-runs of Jersey Shore until they agree to add your stuff on to theirs once the pledge manager comes out.

Dentry wrote:I'd love to grab the Shattered Sword Paladins but the models for their Sword Sworn minions are really off-putting.
Well, the pledge manager won't be up for another two months and won't need to be completed for another two months after that. Plenty of time for Soda Pop to relent and fix them, show missing greens and renders, and so on.

That would be a smart move on their part, and would certainly net them a lot more funds!

That's quite a long time before they take your money.

I was very tempted by the Noh faction. Loved the Oni guys, particularly the one on the giant temple dog. But a bit concerned that the concept art might not be translated too well into the figures themselves.

Also, doubt anybody in my area would play this.

Not really on the cheaper as I said earlier in the thread. I have a retailers account and for the amount of stuff they were giving out that is a better deal then I could purchase it for. Expect to pay far more then $50 to come near what they were tossing in when all of this launches.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

It's interesting that the Cerci Speed Circuit is mentioned as one of the more favored factions so far - the only, as yet, all girl faction.

Personally, I'd be more inclined to grab them if some of the models were on foot. As it stands all of the units in the Faction Starter, save Rin Farrah, are on bikes and that makes for a boring dynamic. I'm gonna have to disagree with MightyGodzilla here and say it would be good to include Betty, Lug, Pit Crew, and Wreckers. It would certainly enhance that feel of them being racers at a track and introduce nice, grounded models. The footage and greens for Betty and Lug look good at any rate, have to wait on the Pit Crew.

If I recall correctly, it's mentioned somewhere that Relic Knight Kisa (and a few other models) would be looked at. Might be wrong. Considering that she's the centerpiece for Doctrine, that might help public opinion.

What are you talking about? Noh got two singular characters (Marikan-To & Zindea/Spite).

That's not the reason I got them. I got them because I like Mayla/Tomn and because they're very different to the rest; the rest are all obviously 'armed forces', whereas these guys seem to be completely different - they're a group of racers.

Mayla and the Pace Robots aren't on bikes. And we don't know what the dynamic is yet as we've not played the game, so it's a bit early to judge.

Some factions have more Uniques and some factions have more Minions. That just depends on how we want each faction to feel. A military organization like black diamond will generally have more minions to maintain their "anonymous soldier" feel.

Sophia and Mamaro were included in the preview rules as sneak peaks of units that will be coming out with the full book. Every faction has a number of units that did no go into the Kickstarter. We wanted to keep a few things as a surprise for when you get the book.

I meant aesthetically. Mechanically, I don't really know how anything plays as I haven't familiarized myself with the rules. And yes, adding Betty & Co. would definitely alleviate the issue.

Despite my constant complains, deliver a nice sculpt of her, soon after the release of Relic Knights and you are forgiven.

I will agree with the above posters though, some sculpts previously released will need fixing SS brethren are definitely one of them, showed the pics to a friend who loved the illustration and was turned off, going plastic is a perfect time to ass detail and fix things on sculpts.

That is the plan on Sophia!

Regarding the swordsworn. At the moment we consider them complete, but we will certainly be taking a look at every model as we prepare them for plastic production. Not to provide false hope, but we aren't oblivious to some people's dislike of the swordsworn.
