Well they showed off the 'fixed' version of Rin, with an alternate far-more-anime-style head. That's a good start.

I actually liked the Black Diamond models hugely but figured it was probably best to wait and get them when they were available as I only wanted a few of them. Enough on the painting list already!

I just want to see how big those Black Diamond tanks are. If they're as big as I think they are, they'll make perfect 'Drone Tanks' for my X-Com TC of Sedition Wars.

We'll preview as much as we can, but I can't promise everything will be finalized by then. We have our sculptors working as fast as they can but it may not all be done within that window.

Let them know we're rooting for them. And how hard did you party last night?

I think we all acknowledge that you can't preview everything, and no one's expecting you to have everything 100% done by the time the pledge manager goes up.

Just preview whatever you have done though, and it should be ok!

My celebration was a Makers Mark and then some Borderlands and then a prompt passing out. It was long crazy weekend of awesome.

I can deeply understand that, I wouldn't want you to give a statement about it now that may or may not be true in the future, just trying to give feedback.

Awesome. CSC was my faction of choice...the fluff surrounding a race team trying to save the galaxy is way too anime and the reason I like them so much. I think I'm going to try and do a raceway diorama complete with blurry background. You should try to and do a couple of metro-guy bike racers for the release.

Edit: "too" with two o's. Spelling and grammar will save the world. Mark my words.

I like the CSC followed by the Noh, Pirates, and everyone else. That said, I'm getting all 6.

Actually thinking about getting all 6 now as well. If the rules are good and we can play it, having all of them would be a great option.

BUT that's a little pricey (as I want the optional extra's and the SDE and ALL ALL ALL of them ;-)

What other group are you thinking of getting? Noh? If you get Noh, I'll get the Corsairs.

I was contemplating to take part (Cerci and Noh), but I really don't need 4 identical Berserkers or 2x3 identical jetbike. So I can wait until the regular release and still save money. Plus: Sodapop miniatures often look different than the concept, esp. the face.

The bikers will have different options (such as helmet and heads) and separate arms (my assumption). So that should be less of an issue.

they have said they are trying to allow more variability in the 'troop' poses.

Ah, yes, you're quite right. I wasn't thinking of the extras. N'oh only get Marikan-To and Black Diamond only get Suspect 7 (Zindea and Magnus are Questing Knights, not Uniques). Still, aside from Marie-Claude, Gabe and Tycho, all the factions got roughly equal love from Soda Pop, just different love in each case.

Even if you merely reposed them it would make a lot of people happy. Since they're wearing full armour, that should require minimal resculpting.

I was very tempted by the Noh faction. Loved the Oni guys, particularly the one on the giant temple dog. But a bit concerned that the concept art might not be translated too well into the figures themselves.

Looks like I got fooled by a badly designed kickstarter campaign page
Anyway, as I don't intend to start another tabletop game, picking the specific miniatures I like when they are released is fine with me.

I really need to get rid of my excitement for this game, seeing as how nothing much will be happening now until the next beta. I wish I could hibernate until May...

Where did you see the fixed mini? Can't find it on the RK Kickstarter updates, comments, or the Soda Pop forums.

I think H.B.M.C. is confusing Rin and Isabeau - I posted a picture of the original sculpt of Isabeau next to the altered sculpt now available on page 15 of this thread.

Congrats Deke on the success of the KS - I'll leave further updates in your capable hands .

That's an excellent change though, I must have missed that. A few more minis get "fixed" like that and the entire range will become much more tempting. If you're treading on "super-cute anime girls" as your stock and trade you need to make sure that cuteness translates from the art to the mini.

If they fix Squall that way I'll be delighted. She's by far the worst "head ruins the model" in the whole line-up imo.
