Sigh... only a few days left to finish up, and so many great options...
I was hoping to see a render of the Female Troopers before the manager closed, but perhaps it's for the best... if they look as good as I'm suspecting, my poor wallet may never recover!

They are paid, ski2060, but people need to finalize what they're expecting to get for that money, and compare it to the total they paid. If it's not right, they need to add funds, etc...
It took me forever to remember what I ordered (although the extra accessory sprue for you ski was the first thing I put in)

I doubt we'll see that, as it seems he's scrambling to finalize the accessory sprue contents, for instance- and that's phase 1. With the black widows being phase 3, I expect their renders to come later.
Something to look forward to, at least!

I work in injection molding, so let me throw an estimate. Lets say these are on a sprue about the size of GW infantry sprues... Id expect a cycle time of 30 seconds or less, so 2 sprues per minute, 120 per hour, etc. In other words, they will crank them out fast once it gets to the molding stage.
Could even be as low as 10-15 seconds per cycle depending on the size of the machine and how well the machine/process is dialed in.

not really much workplace safety involved in the speed of those machines; these things run automated once set up (and have done so since, what? the eighties?) and having to throw some raw material bits into the hopper every few minutes doesn't involve anything which slows down or speeds up the casting process.

Interesting. I'll have to remember that...
Unless the safety gates have been removed, and/or the interlocks bypassed, stray large objects really cant get into the mold area without deliberate effort. Very small material contamination is possible. Even in China I would doubt that the interlocks would be bypassed, with the cost of molds you dont want large foreign objects getting in there and damaging the mold itself. On a funny note, the son of the guy who owns the company I work for just left for China for 6 weeks to learn to process the machines. We are partners with a company over there, and I gather their processors are top notch.
* processing an injection mold machine is the term for setting up and adjusting the programming (or manual settings on older machines) to make the molding process work right. They ansure there are no shorts, warp, sink, etc...as well as diagnosing/fixing problems with the machines, setting cycle times, etc. Automatically Appended Next Post: Bolognesus wrote:....some of those hoppers might have a sufficiently large opening to fit a head through, but certainly not someones shoulders. We have several machines that are large enough to stand inside the mold area, with the molds weighing several thousand pounds. I think our largest machines are rated at 1000 tons clamp hold pressure, IIRC.
The ones that really suck run materail melt temps around 720 degrees (F) with hot oil keeping the mold temps around 400 degrees. Luckily there arent a lot of parts that run material that hot, just the parts we make for firefighters sensor pods. However, if you accidentally touch the mold while removing the parts...you are burned instantly.

Ok, I solved the money issue (as much as money issues can be solved). I've plugged in all the things I wanted, hit "ship when complete", and found I had enough spare pledge left over to get another box of Heavy Troopers.
So my total was only AUD$2.99 higher than what I pledged, so I can live with that.

Only those particular sculpts are exclusive to this kickstarter. There's nothing stopping Mark from releasing new – and, if the evolution of the Eisenkern is any indication, better – sculpts when the Shadokesh kickstarter comes around.
That said, Mark, it might be an idea to restrict future kickstarter exclusives to the kickstarter AND conventions. Still a pain in the ass to obtain outside the kickstarter, just not impossible. Oh, and before I forget again, you absolutely need to start putting ' WIP' on your WIP images – and possibly the DFG logo and/or an URL too – because for many of them we just can't tell otherwise. Not an issue for those of us following these threads but for those who just see a random image out in the wild...

I'm only getting 15mm Crusaders (2 of those, and 1 Mortis) - none of the big ones - so the left over smoke stacks should be the right size for CoD buildings. Rhino = 2.00" H x 3.00" W x 4.75" L
Even if you went in for maximum rhinoplasty and chopped it off flat in front of the windscreen – removing the middle wheels and moving the front wheels and side doors immediately in front of the rear wheels – it would still be slightly larger than a Rhino. That nose isn't as oversize as all those three-quarter shots make it look.
Edit: Random question, but does anyone know what's up with the weird kink in the submachine gun stocks? I thought it was length adjustment at first but but they look fully-extended in what would have to be the fully-collapsed position so that can't be it.
