Hello everyone, i am still working on my IG but time to time i cant help my self and get in love with random model and must immediately purchase it and paint it;-) This time it was chaos terminator lord. I chose Iron warriors colour theme however some friends who now various chaos space marine fluff better than me keep telling me they should be silver:-/ If they are right that means 40k lexicanum has post heresy picture wrong, 40k wika has pictures wrong as well and thq has iron warriors skins wrong in all of their 40k games too. However i like how the model turned out, considering this was a testing piece and now i can avoid some of the mistakes i ve made and improve painting procedure with next ones. Hope you like him and if not please let me know your opinion, thanks!;-)
Wow this is probably my favorite terminator lord I have seen. I love the colors you have picked and your painting skills don't hurt . Love the detail on the base with the icicle.
UnCool Villain:thanks, hehe but these icicles hurted a lot when i had bad idea stretching melting plastic with bare fingers;-)
Xeriapt: Snow is made of humble baking soda glued with some pva glue. Some say its not very durable, but i ve been making snow the same way on my first space wolves year ago and it still holds.
Pics are very dark and look like there's way too much saturation/contast there, which is a shame cos it takes away from what is otherwise a really clean model.
Great model, great base, AWESOME Lightning Claws...
Astra Militarum Iron Warriors Army: Enyo Company Enyo (Greek: Ενυώ, English translation: "warlike" in Greek mythology; Roman: Bellona), was an ancient goddess of war, acting as a counterpart and companion to the war god Ares. She is also identified as his sister, and daughter of Zeus and Hera in a role closely resembling that of Eris; with Homer in particular representing the two as the same goddess. As goddess of war, Enyo is responsible for orchestrating the destruction of cities
Death Korps of Krieg
Beautiful model, the plasma weapon and eyes of the lord have a nice glow to them, makes the Lord look more realistic. Clean painting with a very characterful base, I like
Blood Angels 3rd Company
Space Wolves Ragnar Blackmane's Great Company
Rynn's World Battle Force
Very, very nicely painted, I really like the dark tones you used and you've contrasted them so well with the splashes of colour with the hazard stripes and the glowing blue eyes and power coils on the lightning claw! the weathering is nice and you've got just the right amount of aging to the bronze parts, all in all a great mini.

Wow, that is just badass work. Hazard stripes are always awesome to see on a model, but here its particularly striking, particularly on the poweraxe. I also love the eyes and the lil bit of blue glow on his lightning claws.

Thanks, thats how i imagined iron warrior look, i know i should attach some chains, and bionic upgrades but i took this as a paint scheme testing miniature. Im planning to paint one more using vallejo black metal paint to see the ressult and then decide whitch one is better. I would love to paint whole army like this, but it depends on new chsm dex if it ll allow trminator/oblit only army build as i would like to build my secondary(travelling) army with low model count as oposite to my imperial guard to ease transporation so i could travell with them easy by the bus to see the friends from other cities and have a friendly game with them, whitch is almost impossible(wel not impossible but not comfortable)with my IG.
Very nice work. I am impressed by so many things on this model. The base, the yellow, the chevrons, the slight use of OSL on the lenses, the lightning claws. Too much good stuff to list in whole. I am jealous of your model and skill! Great work.

An awesome piece, I'm especially enamoured of the Axe.
IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights! The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.
AgeOfEgos wrote: How did you get that terrific speckled metal look on the black/yellow?
Just soaked piece of blister sponge in mix of black and some dark brown and then dabed it on to the surface, then repeated this but now with boltgun metal paint and thats it. You can enhance the look by using gryphone sephia as i tend to use it to give yellow some slight shading everytime i paint it. Its not masterclass technique, but i like how it looks and its very fast to do if you want to chip any part of power armor. Just dont forget to remove exces paint from sponge before you ll star sponging on to the model surface;-) Time to time im writing brief guides on how i painted my models so if you want to know more just click te www icon under my post.

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.
Looking pretty good. I bet you cant wait paint the new stuff from DV set.
