Icon, seen a scan of the noise marines page, no FNP on it. Maybe under their wargear they already have the icon though.

Ummmm..... The Necron Scythes would like a work with you..... Not only is the gun stupid efficient but it can drop a 15 man unit up to 36" with pinpoint accuracy, and post FAQ can now rescue a unit with that same accuracy..... A storm raven has the potential to bloodstrike one vehicle while multimeltaing another AND dropping a dread and infantry if you are anywhere outside your DZ...... Pretty sure it's more complicated then "just the vendetta"....

This is not a great answer, I don't think the dragon is perfect, but at least its vector strike guarantees you strength 7 hits which btw are AP2 and always hits side armor. Flakk missiles to me are worthless. Hitting AV 12 with three of four shots for one pen/glance does not make fliers worry at all. I then get a 5++ btw. If after all that you beet the odds you still need a 6 to down a flier. I think I will continue to arm my havocs with 4 (now cheaper) autocanons and not worry about the fliers with them. I think to truely be an anti flier missile flakk should have disallowed jink saves or had an added effect like auto shaken in addition.

Exactly. Flakk missile havocs are like an aegis defense line with a quad gun. Only they give no cover are twice as expensive. That does not sound like a great option to me. Might as well get a bunch of lascannons and hope that I get lucky and roll some 6s.

The dragon is terrible too though. Is there a flyer that has worse armor on the side than it does on the front? After the hit you still only have a 50% chance to glance a Necron flyer and 33% to glance/pen a vendetta or storm raven.

Here is a question for those who have the codex. Is Cipher back in it?

Regarding the heldrake, i may have a solution model wise.

The problem with the model is that bare for his head, the rets of the mini looks more like a bird of prey then a dragon.

So why not make him look more like a real dragon.

Those are bad paint-fu montage, but the general idea is there.





Personnaly, i think its way better, its a bit farther then the flying wing, or mutated and possesed Hellblade that Jes made, but i like it better this way.

With proper red and gold paint, and chains+ skulls and Khorne icons, it will be a Perfect Blood Dragon of Khorne!

Or you can get havocs AND a flak cannon. Just have one of the guys without a gun shoot it.

Well besides all the Kids not getting there way… it seems like a good codex… as a matter of fact it’s the best codex for 6th edition so far. (we’ll see who… you know?)
so…. I guess the rumors part of this is over now… Kinda feel like I waking up on the floor of a kinda cool house party where I messed with an Kinda Ok looking Chick… but now my balls itch…

Cultists are not the main theme behind Alpha Legion, but the ability to field them will lead to more fluffy Alpha Legion armies.

Why not? Between the Flakk Missles and Defensive line, you are going to knock that flier out of the sky. Not to mentioned ageist Valk Squadrons witch are only of the more gross fliers on the table right now, your going to need to focus fire anyway. And thows are extra Autocannon shots when you are shooting at a ground target.

If your dealing with multiple flyiers, you usely need some sort of objective camper in your army anyway. Stick them on the gun if you REALLY need to be able to target separate flyiers.

CSM are easily the most flexible ATM when it comes to Anti-Air choices.

And when facing the flying bakery you'd have to do that only about 7-9 times. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to pull it off in a 5-7 turn game.

I don't see the angst about making specific legions. You can in the curret codex, you just have to build your lists around the theme.

There hasn't been a Codex:Catachans for about a decade now, that hasn't stopped me playing them.
