October is here! (well tomorrow for me)

What have you got on your plate? Continuing previous vows? New projects? Perhaps something Halloween related?

Started my first model after a long time yesterday.

For October I plan to completely finish the Dakka Bommer I started yesterday. I also plan to build all the orks from my AoBR set, have them all basecoated and some painted.

Definently bit off a bit more then I can chew while still going to school full time and being a slow painter. I made good progress but I think a slightly tighter goals list will be more realistic this time.

1. Paint 20-30 battle sisters - 9 sisters painted to phase 1, 16 sisters to phase 2, 1 sister complete. 25 battle sisters at Beta status, also have 1 special character to phase 2
2. Finish painting two SoB vehicle - 1 rhino, 1 immolator to 50% completion
3. Assemble/Convert 2nd Half DA force - In progress
4. Prime all Infinity and DA models.

I changed directions and decided to focus on my "special" marines from both squads first and then go back and do the rest of the rank-and-file marines. limited hobby time this month, so my goal is to clean, assemble and paint 2 sergeants with magnetized pistol options and chainsword/powerfist arms, 2 special weapons troops with magnetized flamer/melta/plasma gun options and 2 missile launcher troops.

stretch goals this month are to clean, assemble and paint a marine with an auspex, a marine with a grenade arm and a couple marines with scoped bolters.

super stretch goal is to experiment with re-posing some arms and legs, but that might be crazy talk...

Well here is what I had for September:

1) Finish the two warmachine models I started last month
2) Finish interiors and assembly of my Black Templar tanks
3) Only spend money paints and brushes. No new models this month. Only exception is buying dreadball from mantic.

I managed to kinda do that. My friend owed me some money and gave me half of DV, so now I am paying for his portion of something.

So for October:
1) Finish uncompleted goals from September.
2) Assemble DV marines (should be easy right!)
3) Assemble remaining bastion and pieces

Bonus goals:
1) Finish assembling 1/2 of Undead Mantic army.
2) Paint 10 Black Templar Marines

Finished my September vow of getting my Chosen and Chaos Lord done, and am already halway through this month's vow. Get my cultists done. Got the CCW guys fone, but the others are still on the sprue.

For October, I aim to paint 12 Termagants and 1 ripper swarm. So for, I have painted 1 Termagant.

Last month I failed to finish off the last steps necessary to complete my SM Scout Squad. Also incomplete are my SM Captain on bike and two full bike squads. I blame University.

For this month I hope to

1. Pigments, Oils and Varnish for my scouts.
2. Assemble the remaining 16 bike (riders) & captain

3. Bonus points if I get them at least primed and MAYBE base-coated!

I'm shooting for finishing my Ulthwe Eldar/Dark Eldar list for a tournament on the 20th. I haven't played with a fully painted army and I'd really like to for this one. I'm a bit over half way there.

alas, I was not as productive as I'd hoped to be:

- I've mostly completed my 2 ML troops. they just need to be based and sealed
- I've mostly completed my 2 special weapons troops, including all weapon options. they just need to be based and sealed
- I've base-coated my 2 sergeants and completed all their gun options (bolt pistol x2, plasma pistol x2, custom combi-flamer x2), but that's it. working on their cc options now (powerfist x2, chainsword x2)

here's hoping november is a better showing
