Im a little bit tired of the all cadian look so I looked around on the net and I found those .

http://wargamesfactory.com/webstore/alien-suns/shock-troops-sci-fi-greatcoat-troopers

does anyone used these for convertion ? does they fit well? are they nicely mold ? or could they even make nice Guardsmen without any convertion? any feedback would be appreciated thanks !

I have seen DKoK conversions with them and they seem to fit rather well. Although I have no experience with them myself.

Firstly, try and post a bit more clearly, its generally annoying to read someones post with so many errors.

But saying that, those ARE 28mm, so scale wise, they will be fine. The only problem that could arise, is 40k is 28mm heroic, so they might be a little thinner then a guardsmen. But I have seen people use them for things on DAKKA, so Im sure youll get a definite answer

short answer: yes.
Long answer: yyyyyyyeeeeesssssss
these kits are indeed heroic scale and they do fit with IG parts quite well. I'm using them for my rebel IG army (link in sig) but here's what I've got:

also the shotguns that come with them are great for vet sarges:

and the flamer tanks on the sprues are great for making meltaguns:

in other words: do it, do it, do it now!

If you're interested in another alternative, within the next couple months Wargames Factory should have the Eisenkern troops and support weapons from the Dreamforge Kickstarter project in stock.

I was going to start an entirely different thread, but this would do nicely.
I came across the Eisenkern Storm troopers line, and I am thoroughly impressed.

I am however, a bit confused. This website claims that the stormtroopers are now available:
http://dreamforge-games.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/eisenkern-plastic-stormtroopers-now.html

However, some people have said that I need to wait "a few months". I am quite confused, and the dreamforge website is a bit convoluted, I cannot find a "add to cart" link ANYWHERE! lol

Can someone please help me out and clarify the situation? Better yet, can anyone link me to where I can order them?

Thanks in advance!

I have used them with some bits, while I am not done they are not bad. My painting skills are not great but over all I am happy with what I have . It should give you an idea of how they look pained.

They look great when all done up.

They fit scale really nicely, and all the GW special weapons I have tried on them have fit. But even then, the weapons they come with make great looking Autoguns, and you could always fluff it in. The molds are nice as well.

I have only 2 complaints, and these are more opinionated complaints really

1: The poses are a bit static. Because the body and legs are 1 piece (and there are only 3 poses), you don't get too much variation there so most of the change comes from the heads (of which there are a CRAP TON OF HEADS, as in like every man in the squad can have a different head) and the weapons.

2: They come molded to a base like footer, which when glued to a normal base makes them oddly taller. The standing upright pose for instance looks a whole Cadian head taller. Not sure how much of a difference in game that will make, but ya know

EDIT: Also, the necks are REALLY long for some reason. You will need to do a lot of filing to get them to look right. Not too big a deal though, and if you really want you can head-swap

The Eisenkern troops are still in process, the sale is only presales right now. You do have a while to wait.

Also, the Eisenkern are much bulkier that normal IG. Even the creator stated "they look like they could take a space marines lunch money." I do not think they are going to be a realistic alternative for guard - though I do hope I am wrong on this.

My IG are these guys with cadian lasguns. You do need do a bit of green stuff work to make them fit but it looks fantastic. My only gripe is they only have 3 body models and the torso and legs are one part

I picked up one box of these guys. 18 minis for $20, what a deal! I clipped off the mini base they come on and put them on GW round bases, they are actually slightly taller than a standard cadian. You cannot beat theae guys on price, the quality isn't as good as GW but there is also nothing wrong with them. They double for my IG army as vets with shotguns and special weapons and also as Inquisitoial henchmen with bolters. I just ordered 2 more boxes from my FLGS, that will give me 54 shock troopers for $60. I can't even look at the cadians or catachan boxes anymore $35 for 10 guys is just NUTS.

I can vouch for the UAMC Marines by defiance being pretty good, especially for the price. The 12 extra legs can be great if, like me, you have extra IG torsos kicking around. I've kitbashed the marines with cadian, catachan, & Elysian parts to great effect. I ordered them through my FLGS so I'm not sure about any supply issues.

Defiance games is the current team that was the brain behind the shock-troops you first posted. The models from Defiance are the best they have milled out, and they're still far from the best.... As it turns out, the ones by defiance games are some sort of crazy resin-plastic hybrid. I have no idea if the models will respond well to plastic glue, or if they're super-glue only.

If i were you though, I'd wait for the Dreamforge games eisenkern. Honestly, just wait for those. They are very good looking.

Now the problem with extensive use of others' models: You will not be permitted to play in any GW store. I'm not sure about the status of GW events, but you won't be able to play your army there either. All other non-games workshop stores and events will be fine, I'm just not familiar with who has what kind of presence over in the east, so it's important to say this, because you might think you're saving money, but if nobody lets you put it on the table....

The defiance ones glue fine with liquid polycement - both the stuff in the jar and the stuff in a bottle I use (Revell Contacta Professional).

I don't know about how well they work with gunge-in-a-bottle™ (GW) or gunge-in-a-tube™(model glue in a tube) as I stopped using those before I finished High school (have used the liquid type for the last 28 or so years).

I bought two boxes of these guys a while ago to use as stormtroopers. They weren't horrible to work with, but they weren't great either. I did not like their necks, I had to sand them down quite a bit. Also some of the mold lines were a pain, especially when they messed up the coat. A tip if you do get them, make sure you paint the trim of the coat it looks great. For my next IG army I'm not going with them again but rather bits from this site http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=126_207_146
