Is it worth having a limit on RP ships and vehicle's sizes then? I know some are good, but my area gets a little laggy as is, it doesn't more.

I'd say it's worth having a limit myself. ESPECIALLY if you're going to move them near anyone else's property.

I'd say keep them small. Hopefully for the one I've commissioned they will start with the engine so I can specify more. I want to keep it at about 30-40 blocks long at most.

I think the more important question is: Has anyone actually managed to build a working "flying ship" on the server yet? Until then I don't think we have any issues to address.

Hey people, mind and not touch my stuff just because I'm not online. Bigoz, don't just take a items and leave ones as a trade. I don't care really if it was a good one or not, I wasn't there to agree to it, and in general, people don't like the idea that someone's touching their things. Also, who're my neighbours? Firstly, whoever keeps building their nether tunnel so it goes right through my portal, quit it. I've filled in that tunnel twice now, its not difficult to build a tunnel so that it attaches to mine in a less fugly manner. Second, who's so carelessly decided to drop a lava flow right down on top of one of the paths I made? I mean really, it cuts off that route entirely, and just looks as though you didn't bother to look where the lava was ending up when you placed it.
I'm not as active on this server, but I really can't be bothered with sticking traps around my area just because people are careless. Hey maybe you plunked down that lava because you didn't realise I was there. Well heck, maybe you accidently got crushed by my wall because you didn't notice that you were on my plot. In short, stop your crap. =P

You know what's amusing? It's that, at the end of it all, it'll actually be the people, fully kitted out in Quantum/Gem armour with Red Matter weapons and Industrial Blasters, that'll actually be able to do the most irreperable damage.

As current owner, only owner of the only flyable ship I will create the 3 "airship laws"
1. No parking if not allowed, victim can warn you 3 times before he can use enrestricted amounts of warfare upon you (Mind you the ships I sell have a punch, so return fire is allowed but not recommended, I certainly never will)
2. Battleships can only be flown by trusted pilots, they contain an entense amount of energy and weapons so accindently flicking a button could result in tge lose of an island, also testfuring is restricted to sea only, if you'd like to come to my island and I'll let you fire the weapons there as there is a 500m sea and my work is either air or under-ground.
3. Ships must be ok'd by the community or the "club" so size, looks and attachments could be restricted. Remember my company sell ready made flysable ships and all garunteed to beat anybody else (any competitors can take a look down the barrels of my 30+ on board ship-to-ship cannons) of course specially made weapons, such as my patented ursus claws prevent the movement of a ship and then detonate a nuke to pulverise and make a hole for the cannons Are only for proper warfare and nit to be messed around with!
Does anyone else agree, and if you gave anything to see please do as the community comes first!

Three warnings? The victim can easily just destroy the ship if it's trespassing after one warning, and there's nothing against the rules about it. Also, parking on top of someone's land, refusing to move and then destroying that person's home when they try to remove it is "allowed, but not recommended"? Dude, that's straight up griefing.

Battleships can be flown by whoever the hell has one, and what defines a "trusted pilot"? You can't force someone to do some airbourne driving test. And they can do whatever they want as long as it's in their land.

A ship can't be deemed unworthy of existence by some guys who happen to already own one. If someone builds the ugliest looking ship ever, you can't go and tear it down, because, yet again, that's straight-up griefing.
You can't "patent" anything. This is literally a non-profit sandbox game, not some real life business company. If someone builds some "Ursus claws" identical to yours, there's nothing you can do about it.

Why not simply "register" all ships?
Each ship produced that is capable of movement and possibly causing destruction must be formally registered on this thread perhaps?
Something like:
Owner: (Dakka and Minecraft names)
Ship Size: (X by Z by Y perhaps?)
Ship Class? Merchant? Battleship? (I don't want any ships with weapons near me, for sure).
Anything else on board? I.E. Nuclear anything
Picture of the ship for easy recognition.
Then set a rule that unless OK'd, only public land (unclaimed land, as I don't recommend sending giant laggy ships over spawn) maybe be flown over.
Perhaps a size limit?
Then everybody could set a penalty if their airspace is violated? (I.E. A fine or destroying the ship).

maybe instead of xyz it could be approx area, as mine is quite tall on the bridge section, but that is only a tiny portion of it.(Not that I'm making my cruiser move,that would likely crash everything...)

I imagine than an apporximate volume (blocks^3 (No pun intended)) would be sufficient.
