I guess they could introduce Professor Strange and the TYGER security guys, along with the Leage of Assassins (and, in fact, I hope they do), but while there are a lot of bad guys in Arkham City (Calendar Man, the Riddler, Hush, Mr. Freeze, Zsaz, etc.) most of them are loners.

There's also the Mad Hatter with his mishmash crew (could just be replacement heads for any of the other crews), Solomon Grundy and Clayface

This is soooooooooo tempting. I hope it stays Batman and not DC expanded. Superman to these goons would be like the Space Marine was in =I=nquisitor. He just kills the piss out of everyone.

I would like to see the full range of villains from a collectors POV even if they don't all become full henchmen crew.

It'll be whatever was in Arkham City, which is a fairly decent amount of characters.

Although if you're a Crazy Quilt fan, you're outta luck.

I wrote an article once about the Top 10 Batman villians that are not mentioned in Arkham City. I had trouble filling it and the only one I left out of purpose was Professor Pyg ( I hate that guy). Some are mentioned in Asylum though. I'd love to see the Arkham version of Firefly and Man-Bat though.

Maybe they’ll bring him in for the next game. Sadly it’s a Silver Age prequel, and not a sequel. Maybe that’ll be a good thing – I envision a much larger city layout, divided into quadrants, where you change characters at different parts of the game (Batman, Nightwing, etc.) as they all gather to deal with a city-wide crisis – but I’d’ve much rather seen a continuation of the main story, especially with Azrael’s prophesy and Scarecrow’s coded threats, and so on.

I said it's about characters that are not even mentioned in AC. Maxie is in there.

And Prometheus gets a mention on the bulletin board inside the GCPD HQ.

I’m still really interested in how this game will actually function. Wayland, who now have everything up for pre-order, have a brief description of the game. It has a couple of details wrong (Strange didn’t extend Arkham Asylum to cover parts of the city – Arkham Asylum was abandoned after Poison Ivy tore it to bits in the first game, and there weren’t ‘thousands’ of people trapped inside it either) but it talks about Joker, Two-Face and the Penguin all making power plays and how you play as Batman trying to stop them.

I assume that you can play gang v gang, and not always hero v gang. And despite the fact that Nightwing never shows up during the game and Robin only has a cameo, I do hope we get other hero characters. Batman ain’t the only guy around who can punch a few thugs.

Nightwing and Robin were expanded with DLC challenge maps, and Robin was playable in the actual story of the Harley Quinns revenge DLC, so they're definitely available as Arkham City designed characters. I'd be surprised to not see them.

Ah, yes, he was playable in HQ's Revenge. Forgot about that.

Nightwing was a giving, he comes out next month. It also never been said they have limited the characters to the Arkham games, just that it's the art style they are going for. There face book page makes it seem like the can pull from a wide base then just the games.

I hope for a focus on AC character too. I'm just pointing out they don't look limited to it, so there near endless growth from just the Bat's lines.

so true! Being workblocked means no access to any 'social networking' sites so I can not take part in anything that takes place on FB, twitter, or any of the others, and now I really feel like I'm being left out of some of the best of this thread.

The minis are beautiful, but I can't really see myself sitting down to play a minis game using them. If I get a thrist for some Arkham justice then I'll just kick on my PS3, no paint to slave over, no smelly opponents.

Will the rules download in December be a free PDF? was just wondering...
