Bunker roof comes off so you can place models inside the ground level. The ground level firing point is correct height for IG heavy weapons teams to shoot out of (er, except mortar teams...). Roof appears to have some sort of hatch for moving between levels.
The weapon emplacements are basically a widened trench section (which can also act as a junction), big enough for a dreadnought sized base and with an ornate firing point. The article says you get three but at least some of the the photos have 4. Including the box cover.
Defence lines are wide enough to place large (IG heavy weapon team size) bases in. Everything else is wider.
Totally modular and comes with a bunch (12?) of end pieces so you can build it in any configuration you choose. Or stick them on the emplacements to create standalone fox holes.

End pieces! That explains what the little freefloating things are:

I'm really liking the look of this set.

End pieces? Well that's good. I'm the type of person who hates open ends (you should see how obsessive I get with Space Hulk or D&D tiles to ensure that they are completely closed systems), so the inclusion of free-floating end pieces is a fantastic boon.

I'm liking this more and more.

I did wonder what the little bits around the place were. I assumed they were little barricades, like the short Aegis lines or something. Given the way some of the cinematised-guardsmen details tend to extrude down, I think the main trench lines might be vacuum-formed (like the Dreadnought base) and then various details such as the firing point shields will be attached with cement or pins.

It looks fantastic, I just wish they had one more bunker or two along the trench lines.

Ditto. And I hope that the smaller side section is sparate from the main bunker and can be mounted on either side.

It looks like there's two varieties of junctions - one with the exits at 3 and 9 o'clock (assuming the firing port is at 6) and one with exits at 10 and 2.
If you look at Brother SRM's picture, the right-most bend in the trench system uses both kinds next to each other.

Also, I belive the various bits at the foot of each section deliniate an 'inside' and an 'outside'. If you look at the left-hand portion of the same image, some slopes are sandbagged with crates and containers sitting on top (such as the slope directly above the large bunker) while the others have the dead-guardsmen rubble. Again above the large bunker, you can see where it changes from 'inside' to 'outside' when the sadbags stop and the skeletons begin. Also, you can see the tops of the aquilla-shaped plates on the other side of the sandbagged sections - they only seem to be on the same side as the corpses, so it's very likely that there are different sides on each trench section.

To me it looks like there are 4 sections of junctions with exits at 9, 12, and 3. They have the large shield with the gun port in them. It's just that the one on the far right has a cap at the 3 spot ending the trench, there's one to the left of the bunker with the cap at 12, one in the upper middle (straight up from the bunker) with the cap at 3 again, and the 4th is on the left with the all the openings open. Then there are 2 more junctions you described with exits at 10 and 2. One is between 2 of the 9/12/3 junctions left of the bunker, and the other is on the far right above that 9/12/3 junction. Then I count 6 trenches that all have the same bend, just laid out differently. I see 18 endcaps as well.

Whoops, you're right - I forgot to mention the 12 o'clock exit as well. I count four 3/9/12 junctions as well, and two 2/10 junctions out of the 6 pictured.

Certainly, though Fortresses of Redemption and Skyshield Landing Pads are often banned because they cannot easily be deployed in most tournament settings.

There's clearly only one type of junction (Unless the bunker has exits out the back). And that's the 9/12/3. If there's only 2 exits its not a junction.

I think this terrain would fit my IG army very well, and I'm really positive that it is going to be modular so you can assemble it in smaller sections. It is really expensive though, so I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this for myself, as my place is too small to play games, so for my own personal interest it comes down to the rules, for example if I can use it as a fortification. Otherwise I'm probably going to see if the people at my gaming club will be willing to buy it together with me.

EDIT:

Okay the more I look at it, the more I like it. I just really want to know the rules before I go out and buy such an expensive kit, as I don't know if I even can use it in a regular battle or not.

I keep getting closer to spending a metric feth ton on terrain... This and the FoR are right up there, but at £170 for just 2 pieces I can't help but think I'd be mad to do that...

That's a deposit on a car for gods sake...!

Depends on the car.

I myself can't spend the money on terrain I won't even use. That's why I'm
more likely to buy it in parts.

Looks decent. I don't know if its worth 120 nicker though.

Actually, I suppose It is if you have your own proper board, I just play at a mates and we are good for scenery when we pool, so I won't bother.. But yeah, I suppose if I didn't have a missus and was rocking my own private game room with a table permanently in situ, then id get one.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

I will be getting it for our home collection after Christmas. We have a full table of cities of death terrain and this would be a great addition to it. What is the price in US? Release date?
