Friendly casual game, thats fine as long as they don't look like anything else on the table.
Anything more probably a heck no.

As long as they are converted to have autoguns/autopistols and CCW, yes. You also would want to shave the ears down a bit on most of them. That's a good counts-as.

Unmodified cultists with wych weapons and splinter pistols? Not so much.

To me it just makes sense. If i run them for close combat and give them a mark of sleneesh for the +1 initiative, wyches just make sense. Plus why couldnt fall under chaos's influence.

Don't let fluff fall into modelling. If you want DE in a Chaos army, then ally them. Otherwise, you are representing cultists with another model and need to modify them appropriately.

My book is too far right now, but aren't DE and Chaos/CSM never allowed to ally?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

If you want to use them for more than friendly/casual you will need to model them to be wysiwyg.

So long as they have the appropriate wargear for what you paid for in your army list, then yes.

Im just running them as base with a mark of sleenesh. So they should be modeled good for that. It just makes sense that for Sleenesh the cultists would be sexy women.

Why they got be sexy women? Why not sexy men? And who says large women are not sexy? What about those with a big- beer gut? I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Heh heh.

Usually people who have become overcome with excess aren't very attractive.

I was trying not to respond to that bit. Typo on Slaanesh and the horrible old 'sexy women for chaos' bit just made me shudder.

"counts as" is in the 6e BRB

If they have pistols, put holsters on them, or a pistol in thier claw/hand... (there a ton of GW holster bitz from many races)

If they have rifles, sling rifles on thier backs, or put a rifle in thier claws/hands...

Special and Heavy weapons same as above...

They should NOT look like stock Daemonettes...

lol, oops sorry...

edit; weapon have rules, most Tourney want them to have correct weapon/weapons, but standard issue weapons do not have to be modeled at all; thus you could model "real" cultist models with bare fists and they would be fine as basic non-upgraded cultists.

wysiwyg is not in the 6e MRB anywhere, but "counts as" is, and Tourny go on a case by case basis as to what can be "counts as" and allowed.

good luck...

Yeah, no. The bolded part was from 5th edition and was in reference to WYSIWYG. It also was not used for Counts-As, since models without weapons make a really poor count-as for models that are supposed to have weapons.

what? the bolded part?

what is "it?"

In 6e you can model stock models with standard equipment with no weapons on them. A bare fisted SM in a tactical squad still has Bolter Bolt Pistol etc.

Needless to say, generally frowned upon in Tourney play.

Rules quote, please?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And before you get all uppity trying to find out, you'll find it right next to the section that allows you permission to assemble, paint and convert your models.

kit-bashing pg322 BRB

where parts in the box are not enough for you to assemble even basic equipment on a unit (or special equipment and wargear)

Rules quote please where is wysiwyg?

answer my previous response to you?

Quote fail? What's your question? Kit bashing is not in the rules section and, even if it was, does not cover fielding models with no weapons.

Sorry, I don't have a page 322 in my little rule book that came with the DV set. Must not be actual rules.

Were you not saying counts as was in the rules? Now you're listing kit-bashing. Either way Kit bashing says nothing about allowing models without the proper armaments running around.

As other have said, this isn't even in the "rules" part. As the mini RB from the DV set contains all pertinent rules to play

stalkers waiting for me to put pg322, so you could all pounce, lol... models are only mentioned on pg2 miniRB & BRB

so start glueing the legs in the arm sockets, missle launchers for heads, etc, lol... as long as you use what came in the box, and put it on a base (rules for bases are in 6e)

answer any of my other questions?

where is wysiwyg in 6e?

There are instructions in the boxes. Also lets remember Infantry draw LOS from their eyes. ^^

Not seeing wysiwyg in the book. However it's hard to shoot a gun if you don't have one. Very confusing to the other players and more than likely not going to be allowed by TO's

yes, if you kit bash, and use the model for the game, as pg322 works in progress is doing, then what are you doing? "counting your kit-bashed model as..."

Either way Kit bashing says nothing about allowing models without the proper armaments running around

Sure it does, it says you can do whatever you want; see works in progress examples, all have a title that refers to a rule, that possessed has a nice sword...

and where is wysiwyg in 6e?

models are only mentioned on pg2 of the rules "section"
