I've heard the cultist box set is coming out probably early next year (Jan-Feb). However you can get DV cultists for cheap off ebay if you want. Unless you don't like the models, which might be the reason you're asking this.

also any idea what they will be costing per box? and how many will be in 1 box

This is pretty much the best educated guess you'll get. They're Guardsmen-sized, so they'll likely be the same number per box for the same price.

There is a box with 3 DV cultists with guns and 2 with pistols out there.
12,50 in euros IIRC.

I saw in the new White Dwarf that they will have a 5 man box. 3 cultists with autoguns and 2 with cc weapon and auto pistol.

A box of Flagellents with some 3rd party weapons works perfectly as cultists.

Nah look up Warzone Mutant Chronicles Bag of 80 Plastic Soldiers, it's great and works perfectly for cultists, nothing like 80 guys for $33 USD.

Monopose models though. Plus they were designed in the mid 90s and look it.

Anyone with a lick of modeling ability can repose them reasonably well, plus no flesh to paint, which is great.

Because selling them in units of 30 would make too much sense!

To make more money? Honestly, everyone who buys that pack should be ashamed of himself.

They're sold in a box of 5 because these are fixed posed snap together models, just like the starter set and this is how GW sells that style of model. It simply takes less effort to make this type of kit than a 30 model multi-part customizable kit. I think GW will inevitably do a better version of a cultist kit, and that this is just meant to tide us over.

They'd better be making a multi-part kit. Plastic monopose is a thing of the past. I thought GW was getting deeper into the fancy high tech stuff, like "fine"cast

$10 for 5 guys is really cheap for GW. Compensated by them not having any options.

That said, you really shouldn't be lacking for Cultist options. There are plenty of IG kits to chaosify.

They are actually cheaper.

10 IG costs $29, so $2.90 apiece

The cultist are $2 apiece.

Of course the IG have options.
