Hate the entire thing, looks out of place in an Imperial army to me. The pilot is ridiculously unprotected (Terminator armour fails to protect the face when no helmet is equipped) and the whole mecha-suit thing was already fulfilled by the Dreadnought.

Marbo...

Its so bad, people dont buy it they just make their own LoL

So so very true! I don't know of any IG player who uses the GW Marbo; they've all made/kit-bashed one of their own...me included!

I use one of the IG "Vasquez" models for my Marbo

As to terrible models... really pick and choose from the Sisters line... some of our visual design ugh... I really like the Repentia despite all the crap they get for being bondage smut in model form, but the Mistress of Repentance, the Dialogous, and several others out of the SoB range. *shudder*

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long

Welcome to the anime cliche scene Plum... unfortunately it was kinda innevitable. There was a demand and GW provided... unfortunately FW does better looking ones imo... what worries me is that its sorta leaking into other armies, the dreadknight, the penitent engine, FWs Contemptor dreads...

Seeing 40k as a ridiculous clash of various tropes in an endless war, I kind of like anime thrown in the mix. Those tropes/ ripoffs usualy recieve an grimdark/ awesome/ badass treatment though and for me often end up better than the source material. Can't say that about Tau sadly, firewarriors look ok but that's about it and there is no grimdark at all in Tau design.

There are even a few anime movies I really dig like Neon Genesis Evangelion for example, still XV8 is bad like closer to general Daimos or other kids anime sold to cheap TV channnels rather than any serious anime series and the latter btw often contain a lot more grimdark than Tau, what a shame GW. Yep FW Tau suits look better but current GW plasticCrisis suit is an abomination, you have to bath it in acetone and cut with large IKEA knife to make it resemble something meant to fight in only war universe.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

A collosal, terrible, flaming, hysterical train wreck with burning clowns running around spraying it with seltzer bottles while ring masters cry out how everything is fine and we should all come in while the dancing elephants lurch around leaving trails of blood behind them.

How could I look away?

Also, I actually think the Avatar of Khaine is badly sculpted for the flaming epic Eldar War God piece that it is supposed to be.

The other models I almost put up here had awkward poses or proportions, such as the Incubi, Grotesques, Sicarius, the Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines

I was kinda frustrated when I put a CSM next to a Cadian and the Cadian was taller. But then I converted everything.

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

I've been away from this for awhile, so my opinion doesn't really matter, but I have always disliked the Necron range. Just something about it I couldn't stand.

So GW on average produces great models, but aunforniatly the line is dotted with abominations.

First up is this necron lord, not fancy enough for an army leader, the warscythe looks awful and I'd bet good money on the cape rotting away over the time periods the crons operate within:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat700002a&prodId=prod1380046a

secondly we have marbo, the poster child for lazy sculpting:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440248a&prodId=prod1140072

third is the forge fiend, just a terrible idea, especially the cyborg plasma cannons *shudder*:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440212a&prodId=prod1710092a

Then there is blade, in a real battle I could only imagine it zooming in at mach 10 and crashing into a wall:

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Chaos/CHAOS_VEHICLES_AND_ACCESSORIES/HELL-BLADE-CHAOS-FIGHTER.html

The Fiends are to put it bluntly, the worst minis in the entire deamons range:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440200a&prodId=prod1630107a

Ok maybe the fiends get an [dis]honurable second place:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440203a&prodId=prod980001a

Can't forget this monastrocity:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440300a&prodId=prod1460217a

Or this:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440300a&prodId=prod1460219

the catachans troops just ememplify anything that can go wrong with heroic scale. Jst compare then to the charcterful command squad and weep:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440249a&prodId=prod2080005

Outdated and childish. GW can't replace the wartrack fast enough:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440267a&prodId=prod1090180]

Why one of the best close combat HQs is just standing there and shouting at the enemy is anybody's guess:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440279a&prodId=prod1460189a

I don't think this needs any explanation:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat660004a&prodId=prod1300014a

The ugly ducking of the otherwise excellant DE range:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440231a&prodId=prod1290019a

I almost forgot the flying brick [Stormraven]. fortinatly the forge world Storm eagle is WAY better:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440196a&prodId=prod1960003a

Captain tycho gets a mention, it's a bad model but saved the AM A ZING Non-metallic Metal the EM paintjob sports:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440191a&prodId=prod1700047a

Oh and the stormtalon, Minatours, Dark apostal and [to a lesser estent] Nagash are underrated. they're average at worst IMO.
