If you're thinking that the boats get loaded by the end of summer, well there's no way it is delivering in "Summer 2015"!

He said as soon as he says okay to the final production sample the containers will be up on a ship. Also he seems to have everything but the Core game in his hands I believe?

If Adam receives the production-ready sample this week...
- 1st container hits the water in mid-July
- arrival in the US in mid-August
- ready for distribution late August
- first backers receive by early September

It's barely possible for someone to receive something by Sep 1, but things need to line up just so, with basically no slack for that to happen.

I'm still hopeful for Summer / Q3.

Summer and Q3 are so close together...hmmm...

Well, anyway, I hope so too!

At this point, I'd be pretty happy to get that next update, a proposed ship date and some more preview pics!

The "soon" update should hopefully shed some light onto the matter; however I find it doubtful especially as in the comments Adam hasn't yet really mentioned the expansions so who knows if we are gonna be waiting for those.

I think we'll all be getting one shipment - one really, really big shipment.

Because otherwise, given that the budget was for shipping - what, two years ago?

Did he not say he had everything but the Core box?

I saw where they have the promos, pin-ups and separate armor kits, but I don't recall where he said they had the full-on expansions.

The printing on the expansions was scheduled to be after the main game stuff from what I remember so he's unlikely to have them,

but they could have been/are being done depending on what needed sorting from the main game box, if it was just the vacuform tray and other non printing stuff, thye might well have moved on,

if he's waiting on changes to the printed content he'll probably wait till that's right before moving to the expansions (to avoid the same problems there)

Yea the comment only mention small add-ons not expansions so who knows as far as if those are fully printed.
I really don't see getting it all in Sept. BUT WHOOO KNOWS

To be fair I don't think any of the expansions weigh 18lbs, so they probably won't have the same problem as the core game.

when the shipping starts that's when it's going to get scary

1000s of fanatics, all wanting their goodies NOW (well they're shipping aren't they, webstore X gets stuff to me in a couple of days, why can't KD do the same)

tens of thousands of 'I haven't got my tracking email yet' messages

hundreds of thousands of 'can you tell me where I am in the queue' emails (perhaps I exaggerate a bit here)

a few dozen 'what this is shipping, I never got to pick what I wanted' responses (I bet I'm right here, people eh?)

Always, everytime. I still don't understand how people forget about pledges. Maybe losing contact with the internet for awhile due to various reasons, but never responding to pick rewards? Strange how often creators mention it.

From the Kickstarter comments, more news!

Hello! Just wanted to let everyone know that we have resolved the print issues that were holding up the core game production (Vac-Tray not sturdy enough, a few discolored assets). Provided the new production sample I will receive shortly is correct. I can give the printers the big thumbs up and they will have everything ready to leave china, over the course of july. Everything except those few assets are already produced, so they just need to pack up the fixes and it's finally... done! I have a key meeting our leading fulfillment partner tomorrow and he will give me estimates based on freight arrival times. We will have an update soon that will be giving everyone a final deadline for adjusting their shipping address.

@Xavier, I am doing everything in my power to stick to our current estimate of Kingdom Death summer 2015!

@Biggies, pretty much all non essential marketing is on hold until I don't have to manage this facet of the project anymore. I'll have a lot more time to do more fun updates once boats are loaded and we are in a final countdown. Those big image and content filled updates take days to put together.

@Chris Vazquez, in regards to the expansions, all of the miniatures are done (have been done for ages now) and are sitting in the printers warehouse. We received and reviewed the physical proofs for all the expansion printed content (its a lot!) and had 4 small revisions. Simple stuff like, wrong card back here, need x copies of this, etc. Once thats fixed, we approve it and move to production. I'll cover where we are with all of this with the next update. Its looking more and more likely that we will be shipping things from within different parts of the world. The game is just too large and heavy for any other solution to be cost effective! We finally have a motivated fulfillment partner that see's KD's value and is doing the logistical legwork for us.

It sounds very promising for a delivery before the end of the year I'm of the opinion that at best it will start to deliver at the very end of summer at best. From the looks of it we will have it before the end of the year though.

That is some great news, even if it's not a formal Update.

I like the that Adam is still pushing for end of Summer, with everybody receiving by end of year. Yay!

More from Adam today:

In response to a question who is picking and packing:

@Angelicus, I'll get more into the details of it. We are packing the "small rewards (pinups, promos, armor kits) from within our tiny warehouse and studio. Our partner would be handling the heavy loads. So where it counts, we are still managing it personally.

As I read that, KD:M is doing the little stuff, but has outsourced logistics of the large items (i.e. Game & Expansions) to a 3rd party.
