Update 6/6/13

I have been busy today working on the project.

Here is the progress.

Paul
[Thumb - photo (24).JPG]
First I was working on the harness inside the main body.

[Thumb - photo (20).JPG]
A closer look inside.

[Thumb - photo (21).JPG]
I put the harness into the body and added the foam for my shoulders.

[Thumb - photo (19).JPG]
Duck taped the foam to the metal frame and added the fleece.

[Thumb - photo (25).JPG]
Next I got a back support belt and glued on the silver deco to hide the belt so it looks like metal.

[Thumb - photo (26).JPG]
Then added the back support to the harness, Job done.

[Thumb - photo (23).JPG]
Moving onto one of the Scouts weapons for the Kids to use. Last week I built the boltergun.

[Thumb - photo (27).JPG]
this pistol will do for the grip and the sounds effects.

[Thumb - photo (28).JPG]
This board I will use for the bulk inside the rifle.

[Thumb - photo (29).JPG]
I real working rifle scope Keith kindly donated to me. in working order. I nice touch.

Sorry my autocorrect got me a few times yesterday. That should have said "postal delivery service". Mr. Rogers is a bit part of Americana from my generation and those slightly older. He had his own t.v. Show "mister Rogers neighborhood" where he was the focal character. He always wore handmade (by his mother) sweaters, talked directly to the boys and girls by looking at the camera, and taught important life lessons. I thought he might have been one of those shows that bridged international fame as it was early t.v. 1960s I think is when it started. Anyway he had a reoccurring character called mr. Mcfeely, a postman who would show up saying "speedy delivery", and hand him letters from fans.

Now I have taken away a few minutes of precious costume building time. I will go execute myself right now.

Costume is looking awesome, and the sniper rifle is great. I think with the old saying the dreadnought looks like a walking washing machine you should have a clothesline with shorts on it dragging off your foot . Can't wait to see the trophies you bring home for this. If they give you a paper trophy you should turn it into more litanies.

At the very least, you need to write the name of all your battle honors onto a purity seal or something like that.

You're not wrong Hyrule Hero, the final reveal sans weapon arms et al is going to nothing short of spectacular...

I for one can't wait for that moment...

And Paul, the sniper rifle is looking sweet, even at this early stage...

Hello all, Paul here with a quick update.

I will not be going to torbay as its on a Wednesday and my kids will not be able to do it., But my first test carnival for the
Dreadnought will be 16th August at Dawlish. We should blow them away with its first outing.

Hoping to do a teaser video with me and the kids before then for you all to see it before anyone else so stay tuned.

I have been working on the back of the legs and the sniper rifle for one of the children to carry.

Thanks again for all your kind comments and will update more soon.

I have heard that gamesday has been moved to the N.I.A and has 4,000 ticket not 8,000 for N.E.C

Looked at your YouTube channel this morning will the dreadnought be using any of your mad martial arts skills? Or can you get some of the guys who show up in the videos to dress up as eldar and attack you? Best live action movie idea ever

Update 29/7/13

Dawlish carnival is next month and I will do my best to get there and test out the dreadnought for the first time.
I have booked off the day from work. My kids the space marine scouts should be there as well.

The legs have now been completed to the best of my ability and help from my girlfriend.

The wasit section when the photo was taken is drying in the garage, thats why you can see the groin area in the photo.
