With all that going on, it's a wonder that horse can support his massive adamantium balls.

That was a great time. (The "Rawk and Roll!!!!!111!!! era at GW) I'd rather have that than the cold cynical corporate behemoth they are now.

Actually I agree.
As annoying and silly as all that was, it also represents one of the best times the company had as far as quality of product and value for money. I would gladly trade the enviorment of photos of mullet wearing staffers glowering at the camera, WD ads for jumped up garage bands, and occasional music polls for the questionable business practices, insane prices, and the like of today.

You have clearly all failed. Kneel before Nazdreg!

Aside from his awesome power claw oft used for Chaos Champions, this model has exactly zero redeeming qualities. It looks nothing like the inspiring artwork, looks like he's trying to hug you, and seems to lack humanoid proportions. This model is straight up awful, and only gets promoted to silly by virtue of his ridiculously out of scale power claw.

And as for our good friend, the Noise Marine. Come on. You're all just jealous that you didn't think to paint your Marines in leopard print. And as Necromunda taught us, 38 000 years in the future, mohawks are still cool.

Honestly, lizards riding lizards, and indeed, evil elves riding lizards, bothers me less than space marines riding giant wolves.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

And then you realize it's from 2nd edition or earier, where all Orks and their artwork looked like that, and then realise it's only old, not silly.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

I do not remember that model coming out during 2nd Ed (and it's not 1st Ed either). It must be a 3rd Ed Ork - early early 3rd Ed or very late 2nd Ed (like, Sisters of Battle Codex late).

Also the first Khorne Blood Slaughterer was pretty tragic, I had one of these years ago.

I love Zoats! And Ambulls as well, come to it.

That blood slaughterer reminds me of the rat ogre contraption that appeared in WD as a monster in Warhammer Quest.

Earliest appearance in a catalogue for him appears to be 1998, so very late 2nd ed.

The saddest part about that model is that it could be somewhat mediocre instead of horriterribad (although even the best painting of that model has never actually been good), if only GW would put forth the effort of getting an artist that doesn't suck to paint it.

Alas.

I feel this model would be better if the front gunner was removed.
but I agree this looks ridiculous.

looking at it, the "bonnet" (hood to you americans) is the fron section, right?
Well, there's no way that gunner can sit in that turret what with the lack of horizontal space, so he'd be standing- and there's no way he can stand with an engine being there.
The model might be turned from the "seriously, are you trying to make the most ridiculous vehicles now?" level of fail to "okay, someone messed up a little here." if they got that gunner and stuck him where the stupidly placed WTF-worthy stained glass section is. It'd also save them money on sculpting, what with it already being there in the other speeders. Alternatively, they could mount it as machine-operated- not under it like the original speeder- too large vertically as-is, but maybe instead of where the weird antennae thing is in front of the driver on the side (maybe on the opposite side).
Also, I'm wondering how many ridiculous conversions you could make with the executioner DJ pit... Leman russ turret, maybe even a baneblade cannon (I'm bad with judging scale)

Because it's difficult to move at a decent pace whilst still allowing Brother Cupolus to fire the awkwardly placed turret while kneeling, the Imperium has changed the designation of the Land Speeder to the Land Slow-to-moderate-speeder.

Think about it, his kneeling and the driver's laying down space is connected while the plasma cannoner is sitting on a chair above the engine

I can kinda picture him kneeling, but that can't be fun in that space at high speed and trying to aim that beast of a gatling gun.
Would've worked better in the stained glass area.

He's a space marine, aiming isn't hard. Especially seeing as he's wearing a helmet

what makes that model that much sillier is the gunner's still there- what's he doing now, watching porn on his monitor?
If they were going to make it optional to remove the plasmas and shove a mini-church on it, it should have made it set into the circle where the gunner was, not stick it behind him.

But if they did that, there would be SM bits left over, and, MY GOD, someone might buy one less $35 Space Marine.
