Gonna run this in a tourament in a couple of weeks time. The tournament has special scenarios that are adaptations of the current BRB missions. There will be three matches played in the tournament. The first is basically the relic with exploding relic in the middle with kill points. Second is table quarter control and third is blinking objectives (3). I think this list has a good chance of doing well. Thoughts?

Also, the DPs just aren't that strong. If you don't have other models, that's just fine, the DPs aren't the best use of points but they are no slack either.

I was planning on running the fateweaver instead of the DPs, but apparently was naughty last year and didn't get it for x-mas  the list is made out of what i have atm, so not much time to get more models and paint them in time for the tournament. Thx for the comments. I am planning on getting another box of plaguebearers for the next tournament allready and also fateweaver so then my list will indeed shine
And about the prefered wave. I was thinking that i would put all flamers and screamers into the prefered wave and the rest into the secondary. Herald will join the changeling horrors because he is mainly there for the mandatory HQ slot and that way my warlord is much safer than flying around with the flamers. I was planing on playing my flamers so that they try to arrive behind cover and on turn 2 jump out to flame the enemy to death. I have misshaped too many times trying to DS into flamer range with them so will try to avoid that. Automatically Appended Next Post: made a few modifications to the list.

Nice list, i love my flamers and screamers. they really are just too good atm.
Keep the pyros but take you horror squad down to 5 horrors w/ changeling and bolt.
this frees up 68 points. use 60 of it to give both DP's Iron Hide. it will make them soooo much more survivable. spare 8 points.............dunno, maybe and instrument of chaos on the herald.

60 pts for a 3+ save on top of a 4++ inv... Hmmm dunno. Thats way too many points on the princes IMO. gonna playtest the list tomorrow and maybe do some corrections on the list after seeing how it works.

I would be inclined to lose the Princes and throw in another unit of screamers or increase the number of models in the flamers.
I played a more or less copy and paste of this with CSM's late last week and I just couldn't do enough wounds so ended up tar-pitted.
The Breath of Chaos attack was terrifying, as I run 3 blocks of MON Spawn and having them wounded on a 4+ was heart breaking!

Well if these are the models you have there isnt much you can change, but, yeah in the future probably drop the DP's. Theyre pretty meh and they sink way too many pts I find.
I prefer horrors over plaguebearers. Mainly because horrors can actually do some dmg. Their 4++ makes them decently survivable also.

I prefer the horrors too as plaguebearers usually just sit at my home objective and do nothing, while my horrors have done great things in the opponents half or mid field as the flamers and screamers draw most of the enemys firepower. I will try my list tomorrow with the two horror squads first because i still don't have the other plaguebearer unit purchased.
My remaining models are:
5 nurgling bases
12 daemonettes
a third DP
Keeper of secrets
1 extra flamer
1 extra horror
So with these models this must be as good a list i can put together atm. I know the extra models i own will not bring anything better to my list compared to the DPs.

Personally I think people rely on Fateweaver a bit much anyway.
He is alot of pts for a 6" bubble that you have to bunch your army into.

Being a servant of Tzeentch I’m going to defend his right hand man. Yes Fateweaver is a LOT of points, most expensive character in 40K in fact, but he’s SO worth his points.
Let’s break down Fateweavers abilities:
FMC
AP2 CC attacks
Vector Strike
Can fire 3 weapons a turn or 2 and vector strike
Knows virtually ALL the Daemonic Gifts including- bolt, gaze, boon and breath of chaos
All this shooting with BS5 to boot, that’ll be 2’s to hit then!
3+ rerollable Inv Save
6” Buff bubble effect for entire army
Now some will say take a LoC because he’s cheaper with +1 S and T over Fateweaver. A very valid point, I take one in games less than 1500 and run one as well as Fateweaver in bigger games. However to then kit him out like Fateweaver brings him to nearly the same points as Fateweaver without the rerollable Inv Save or the bubble effect.
Fateweaver (AKA “The Angry Chicken on Win” or the “Spawn King” as he’s known by both in my GW due to the freakishly high number of kills using Boon of Mutation, victims including Hive Tyrants, Logan Grimnar,Vulkan, countless marines of all flavours and Eldrad) IMHO is a cross between a Swiss army knife and a medic-pack. He is a buff for the whole army whilst firing 3 weapons, most AP3 or lower at BS5.
Ok there is a chance that he’ll bugger off after taking only one wound, but T5 combined with a 3+ reroll and Ld. 9 means this will be a rarity and not the norm. Now there may well be times that the enemy shoot EVERYTHING at him in one turn to remove him, hard to do but can be done. A waste of point’s people will say, really? That event has just meant everything else in your army is untouched after their deep strikes when they are all bunched up for templates. You know what that sounds like to me? Sounds like flamer and/or screamer death for the enemy your turn 2 to me.
You can tell me he's expensive, but i'm afraid you'll struggle to convince me he isn't worth it.

Just noticed you mentioned putting the HoT on disc in horrors. Little Tip: attach him to the flamers as on the disc he's Jump Infantry just like flamers. the neat trick his on the deepstrike place the herald, you then have a large flying base to deploy the flamers around, means more get to fire breath of chaos if in range to do so when they turn up. this trick allows you to fire all 5 in the squad rather than just 3.

useful tip for you i find helpful.
i have usually done this, but the problem is that usually i end up giving away slay the warlord with that manouver. Ok, i usually get first blood with the flamers, if they do not mishap, which they do too many times. My plan for this time is to land the flamers behind cover and bring the horrors and herald in on the second wave. As my screamers will start putting pressure on the enemy on turn 1, this will give the flamers some more time to survive to turn 2 when they can just jump to the sweet spot and start burning stuff to a crisp. I will see today, how this tactic will work and if it doesn't, i will put the herald back with the flamers.
The herald has the disc just in case, if i face an assaulty opponent with not much dakka. Then he will go into the flamers so i can take one of the opponents big hitting units down on turn 1. Then i just have to leave one flamer unit into the second wave though.

Nah, it is a tournament here in finland, so not going to the same one as you. Too bad. Would have been fun to play against daemons. Screamers are a must after the WD update. They wreck face... And tanks when they get to assault  4x armorbane str5 hits with ap2 Automatically Appended Next Post: Ok, so finished the test match a few hours ago and this list rocks! Atleast it worked quite well against my friends marine army, that is participating in the same tournament. Well the only thing is that He did some stupid mistakes, that cost him the game on turn 1 basically, like going after my screamers with his terminator deathstar unit, who were in a corner on turn 2 and didn't get to any other action in the whole game while the rest of my army destroyed his forces in a few swift turns of flamer shooting
The only lists that i fear facing are GK and Necron Flying Sircus. Also if facing a massed gunline army, i'm not sure, my flamers and screamers can survive long enough to get to diminish the gun lines enough. Well we will see...

Flamers and screamers kill GK just as good as normal marines and if you play against a necron airforce just ignore the fliers and focus on killing whats on the ground.

Won a tournament today with the following list:
HQ:
herald of tzeentch, disc
The blue scribes
Elite:
5 flamers
5 flamers
5 flamers
Troops:
7 plaguebearers
9, horrors, bolt, changeling
10 horrors, bolt
10 daemonettes
Fast attack:
8 screamers
8 screamers
Heavy support:
DP, flight, MOT, bolt
total 1750pts.
I managed to wipe out two enemies (black templars and grey knights) and managed to get the bigest points score without wiping the enemy totally against CSM. Overall the list worked like a wonder and usually a big chunk of the enemy's army was destroyed on the turn my flamers and screamers arrived. The second place (who actually tied with me in points, but lost after a roll of even after we tied on equalizers) was an IG army and third was a Cron flying bakery list. Overall the most presented army was the necrons with some flyers in every list. The bakery list had seven croisants. I didn't match against them, so got lucky on the draw on opponents. Maybe if i would have been matched agains Crons in every game, the result would have been much different, but agains MEQ armies this list devastated 100 to 0 in every match  And for winning i got to take home a forgeworld Angron as the main prize!

Congratulations on the win. Certainly maxing screamers/flamers against MEQ opponents is the way to go.
How did you find the Daemon Prince performed? Also, 10x Daemonettes has never been enough for me, while 10 Horrors seems like too much to camp an objective but too few to drop into the face of the enemy, what did you think?

I did not use my horrors to camp objecrives, but played them quite agressivelly. The deamonettes were there just for a back up troop choise, bit against grey knights, managed to finish off the enemy HQs and a strike squad without taking any casualties Ofc the flamers had softened up the targets before hand. The DP did not do squat. In all games he just flew and tried to fire at flyers or pther armor targets and took some fire. It will be the first thing i will change in my list when the new codex comes out and brings hopefully some new options for heavy support. Or just get a soul grinder.
