No, not at all as promised. I think it would be best to cut the relationship off sooner rather than later though, before either party has too much invested.

Definitely the best way to go - especially if it was not 'as advertised'.
Is the other job still an option?
And how does it compare in terms of travel and responsibility and compensation?
Best of luck!

One thing I can categorically say about work is, happiness is more important than money and benefits. I have been through it recently myself, and have to say I am happier now getting less money and in a completely different field, but much happier environment. Look at my work rate on Dakka since I changed just at the new year. Much better. I can't say whether you should quit tomorrow, but I will say personally, I would rather let people know.

The personal cost of an unpleasant workplace far outweighs any material gain in the long run. Take care of yourself.
Also, subbed. I'm hunting you terrain guys down one by one.

It was great. First days are always full of things you don't know, and I always expect more from myself than they do on the first day. I didn't have all my access set up for half of the day. Not much time between for much but sleep, but It's nothing I didn't experience daily in college
As for the hobby front, once I get settled in and on a work routine, I'll have time. My first project though will be to redo my workshop lighting around my hobby and painting benches. I was using a cheap electrical adapter (with a really good server rack power strip) that failed and need to fix that. (could've caused a fire if I hadn't caught it in time)

Hey dude! glad you obviously have a better day at the new job! :-) you certainly deserve it after the wait which was worth it so it seems!
get your new job settled and then you'll enjoy the modeling much more, we just want to know you're doing o.k !
Oh, and I got the model from you the other week and assembled him but it's taking all my self control not to paint him yet!
