I was looking in the newest codex, the 6th edition rules and the official errata on the website, but I wasn't able to find any mention of the dual close combat weapons for tyranids. Given that most of the tyranids have 4 or more arms with various nasty bits for slashing, cutting and generally making mince-meat out of things, do they get additional attacks in close combat?
Let's take a genestealer for example. They have 2 pairs of rending claws, do they get an additionally 2 attacks in close combat for being armed as such?
What would be the RAW?

This is covered in the codex, page 33. "Tyranid models never receive bonus Attacks for fighting with more than one close combat weapon - these bonuses are always included in the creature's profile."

Hi
CC Attacks are defined in the Profile table, under 'A'
Genestealers for example, are A 2, so they do get 2 Attacks in CC. A Tyranid is never without a weapon - If your Fex is donning 2 Shooting weapons it will be using its Teeth and Claws in CC (The disadvantage being, these to not have any special abilities like other CC weapons Tyranids wield)
Tyranids do not benifit from having extra combat weapons to improve A charictaristic, there arms are already taken into account in the profile

Yes this is commonly missed, but the codex states on page 33 that the bonus attacks are always counted. Don't worry too much about missing it.

Just remember they stack though. So if you reroll, you can still rend on the reroll.

It's so they can not fire weapon emplacements or emplaced weapons.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
