Subject: Any greens or news on Dwarven Brock Cavalry bezerkers?
I've been waiting to see some sculpts for these guys since the concept art was shown during the kickstarter but haven't seen any news. The closest I've seen is a message from a regular forum user on the mantic forums including the bezerker cavalry in a list of almost done units but with nothing to back that claim up. Has mantic ever released pics of what these figs will actually look like? Mantic has come out with some nice sculpts but the goofy elven dragon tongue rider figs execution (as compared with the concept art) amongst a few others has kept me from getting their stuff without seeing the actual sculpts first.

Thanks for the pic. That beast looks more like a rat than the rams and dinosaurs that were initially pictured. :( I was really looking forward to the unit and have to say that I'm a bit disappointed frankly.

Yes, it one of of several versions including the others I mentioned above and was my least favorite. Dwarves riding furry mammals has been done several times in the past. Dwarf bezerkers on mini triceratops mounts? Not ever that I can recall.

That I wasn't aware of.

Yup, I was really, really REALLY hopping for the triceratops mount too - mine will be up for sale the moment I have them in hand (all15 of them). Still, technically they're good sculpts it seems and mr fluffy was very popular - much more so than the dinos.

Yeah, overall, the lizard mount was the least popular of the two options, for dwarfs. If the Twilight Kin were riding them, you'd have seen more support for the lizard option.
Can't please everyone, but it is highly likely that they'll use the lizard concept for something like Abyssal Riders for Twilight Kin in the future.
Badger tends to make more sense from a background perspective anyway as they are "underground" creatures.
Plus, the British love badgers (whose an adorable little fanged tuberculosis-carrying cutie? You are, yes you are!), so you've got a bit of cultural bias thrown in there.

Also, lizards have been done so many times already !
Badgers for regular dwarven cav? absolutely...stocky mammals has historically been a popular choice for them for decades. I just personally thought the first ever bezerker cavalry models in the industry deserved something more unique. Yoy don't have to be evil to ride a dinosaur... crazy works just as well. In the end, it results IMO in nothing particularly special. I'm glad I skipped the KS as those guys were the ones that most interested me.

I stand corrected. Let me rephrase that as bezerker cavalry that didn't look like a cartoony acid trip piece of crap. That thing makes the pumbagore look like a work of art.

I don't know what a pumbagore is (and given the context I don't want to know), but I do admit that early Rackham sculpts are very much an acquired taste. By the end, their Dwarf cavalry looked like this:
But they never went back and redid the Boors (what they called Berzerkers).
I happily await my badger-riding psychopaths!
I hate Dwarves, so I happily await ebaying my badger-riding psychopaths, then using the funds for something with pointy ears!

Ummm, I have seen dwarfs riding rams.
I have seen dwarfs riding bears.
I have seen scores of critters riding lizards - from dark elves to halflings to steampunk cow girls.
The badger? That is the unique one.
Me, I actually like the rams best, with heroes on the bears. But badgers are not exactly common mounts....
And because somebody has to:

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.
