What a dissapointing loss last night. Detroit was on the receiving end of some bad officiating. LA got the game winning goal just a few seconds after LA caused an injury to one of our D men on a call that should have been interferrence, and they did nothing, even though the game had to be stopped so he could be assisted off the ice.
I counted at least 5 blatant penalties the Kings did that they didn't get called on in the third, yet the lines men had no issue putting Detroit on multiple 5 on 3's last night. Was certainly dissapointing.
But as I said before, that's hockey. Sometimes the bad calls go your way, sometimes they go against. Not much you can do about it.

Is it just me, or is the officiating been really REALLY bad this year?
It's certainly been pretty rough so far this year, on all fronts. A lot of changes in the rules, so the players and the ref's are learning things. 20 games into the season though, you'd feel that they were getting better about it, but it certainly doesn't seem that way.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Yee haw. Wings take out the Sharks in a Shoot Out and with that they retake 4th, dumping the Blues down to 7th.

Sens lost last night in OT against the Bruins :-\. We were on a nice little tear for a bit (5 game winning streak I think?) But man, we're down Erik Karlsson, Jason Spezza, Guillaume Latendresse, and Milan Michalek (though I think he is traveling with the team and has been taking part in their morning skates)... But even with all of that, the Sens are playing decent hockey... just sucks seeing them not be at their best :-\

Yeah... we've lost one line to injury (Steen, Taransenko, McDonald).
Not sure what's up with the Blues this year... but man the 'Hawks are looking good.

Sorry... I'm not gonna listen to any whining from a Blues fan about injuries.
Automatically Appended Next Post: I'm a bit torn on Columbus in the lead right now. I want Chicago bumped off, but I wanted Detroit to be the team to do it.
At the same time though... I could just laugh that Columbus did it, while Chicago shut out the Blues.
Automatically Appended Next Post: And as I say something, Chicago ties it up. Gonna keep my mouth shut now.

And Chicago takes a 3-2 lead, but they let CBJ tie it up to go into OT.
However Jonathan Toews carried the puck down left wing and dished a cross-ice pass to Seabrook, who fired in a shot from the right circle to win in OT!
There is no stopping the Blackhawks this year!
They will lose a game at some point, But as i have said before in this thread the next chance the Blackhawks have at a loss (In regulation) will be March 16th Vs. the Stars or March 20th Vs. the Mighty Ducks.
The Blackhawks are on FIRE!
The Hawks will beat all of these teams:
The Red Wings March 3 The Wild March 5 The Avalanche March 6 The Avalanche March 8 The Oilers March 10 The Blue Jackets March 14
That is 6 more W's!

Don't worry, now that we're almost to the half-way point of the season, it's about that time of year for the Make-ya-Laughs to take their traditional nosedive out of play-off contention.
So a play-off spot should free-up for the Sens to fight the Rangers & Flyers over!

Well I hope you passed out before the end of the game.

The Blackhawks beat the wild on Tuesday, and they just beat the Avalanche tonight 3-2 in regulation!
There is no stopping the Blackhawks if they keep this up. All of their lines are playing really good D this year.
They play the avalanche again on Friday they will win that one as well.
They are currently 21-0-3, with the next 3 games against sub-par teams.
Geaux Hawks!

About that....
Now, now...'hawks are still a good team The Best team in the league.
Didn't think that Aves would be the team to grant the 'hawks first regulation loss...
No one did. the avalanche are abysmal this year. Last in their division, not even 10 wins yet.
And Fixed that for you with the Orange.

But the BEST TEAM in the league lost again tonight.
So that makes 2 losses.
Still way ahead of everyone in points.
And I did not think the hawks were going to make the game that close.
Blackhawks down 4-0 going into the 2nd and the game ends up with the hawks scoring 5 goals in 2 periods, and the oilers scoring 2 more to make it 6-5, Insane game, and well played by both offensive lines. Not so much with the D for either of those teams in that game.

Well, as predicted, the first 3-game losing skid of the season has Leafs Nation prepping their burning brands & pitchforks and decrying the team as an abysmal shame...
Here's hoping the Pens can help make it a 4-game losing streak!
The TO bandwagon is such great entertainment for the rest of us!
