That's fine. A bit ridiculous when customers can only get CS attention by posting in a forum, though,...

Well for anyone interested, I just finished (most of) a building guide to the Dragonfly, and included a scale shot with a Valk (I know you like your scale shots. Also, this is the crew compartment (PW have no pictures of it, so...)

Guide can be found here:

That's awesome japehlio, thanks!

Azazel/scipio- you certainly are a squeaky wheel! I don't think there's a single company that you've ordered from that I haven't seen you complain about in N&R. I think you have a legitimate point here, but maybe wait a bit before pulling the pin in the grenade, eh? Notice that Hulksmash had a similar delay/experience, posted that he was waiting, and then updated us. Really, I'd rather not get the play-by-play...

For example, it's awesome that for Dreamforge, the owner of the company also actively posts in this forum and actively checked into and responded to your complaint about a delay. But most companies are not going to be that way! I had to wait a few weeks for an order from Greebo, and while I will probably update the Bloodbowl thread about it, I'm not posting there every day about it.

Again, not saying your point isn't valid- just that your complaints are likely becoming "in the noise" to many posters, since they are in the majority of threads that you participate in at this point. Let us know the outcome in a reasonable fashion, and that will be more useful, imo...

Obviously, you don't have to heed any of this, but I figured it was worth posting in case you're open to feedback (as you seem to expect most of the companies you deal with to be so heck, why not give it a try).

It's probably worth pointing out that I'm also just as fast to give credit where it's due as well. I know that when I'm considering buying something from various etailers, I'm always interested in seeing what sort of feedback and experiences others have had and what they're like to buy from (ie - the Forge Planet thread). There's an awful lot of supplicants for every producer who deigns to grace the forum with their presence, after all - so it's nice to see some tempered feedback amongst all the "Oh, [name], your stuff is the best thing EVAR ZOMG posts...

With Dreamforge, I'm not sure which complaint you're referring to? The fact that they decided to hold the Asia-Pacific orders so they wouldn't accidentally arrive for any non-US pledgers before US ones - which I did complain about after finding out, or the fact that I was wondering about my tracking number a week after he said I should have it?

The other thing of course, is that if communication is good, I don't get too worried about minor screwups - as long as they fix them up and have good communication. I'd put Dreamforge here, since Mark has always had good communication and aside from about 2 pissed-off posts and a question about tracking numbers, I've had no issues whatsoever (despite the 4-month delay). In Tre's thread, the main reason I keep bringing up the fulfilment issue is because he keeps freaking out about the lower-than-he-expected movement of the current campaign and making what I'll diplomatically call "odd" statements - like cancelling things like the Wolf Riders based on the current lack of stretch goal funding (despite the campaign being at 300%+).

Unfortunately, sometimes it seems that some companies just aren't good at communication, until they get called out in public - when they magically respond quickly. Probably worth mentioning that within a couple of hours after my posts here directly to the Puppetswar guy I did get a reply. (the facebook post made 3 days ago, and my initial question with my order over 2 weeks ago got completely ignored). Trust me when I say I'd have much preferred to have them just get back to me when I initially asked a question about my order via email at the time of ordering...

As for good places to buy/good experiences, I've only said positive things about (off the top of my head):

Firestorm Games
Troll Trader
Maelstrom (pre-meltdown)
Games Empire
Miniaturemarket
Maxmini
Kromlech
Hasslefree
Discount Games Store
Mantic
Total Wargamer
Miniature Men

I'm sure there's more. But those are just the ones I can readily remember. Maybe that sort of thing just doesn't get noticed?

I'll leave this derail at that for now, if it's ok with you?

Well, it was worth a shot . Just pointing out that you're much more vociferous with your criticism than with praise, and you might want to adjust that balance a bit if you want people to take your concerns seriously. Otherwise it just becomes "in the noise", as I mentioned... your choice whether to take it as constructive criticism or to ignore it, just like the companies you are providing feedback to.

The thing is praise will always be a single post..

I got X through the post, well packed, fast delivery and such cool stuff I already want more.......

But complaints about non delivery or faulty stuff not being replaced will be repeated until the company addresses them, especailly if the company rep posts in the thread but ignores the complaint

(for example Puppets rep could have posted he couldn't deal with the issue, but had passed it up the line, otherwise you've no idea if they even know there is a problem)

So for the droids:
We've changed way of mounting hands. Now if you magnetize them, you could easily changing equipment of your models, using sets that will appear in the not distant future.

And for the Combat armour it is supposed to return this week.
It was pulled because the website had some problems (I don't know the details).

Thanks for "getting it", Orlando. The other thing about praise is that it tends to be a single post, but it does get repeated when the topic comes up again. I've posted positives about many of the companies on that list multiple times - but after the initial "got my stuff" post you don't want to be banging on about it for fear that you'll look like a shill. However, when someone else asks "hey, what are X like to deal with?" then praise does get repeated. gak, I've just repeated it in this thread for a dozen companies.

Out of interest, are PW items available through any retailers or other online retailers? Or only direct?

Just contacting CS by mail should be enough, all emails will be answered.

Edit:
We don't have any resellers. We sell directly.

Can you check / tell us if the warrior kit will be made into the more modular, multi-part version?

We really appreciate your posting here, btw- keep it up! Definitely has gotten me interested in your products.

The new Thunder Crow Kit looks boss. It may be the same one that was released before, but I like the cut of its jib.

It sure does! I had no idea they were so big, sure I can still find a use for them though. Whenever they decide to show up in the store that is...

Hey guys! I've been lurking about for sometime now and thought I should finally join you guys. Anyways I posted an order for some of those great looking zombie minis. Hopefully they get here soon.

What I want to know is when those cool tron looking bikes will return to the site? Do reg marines sit well on these models? If anyone has pictures please post.

So these are out of the box 'tru-scale' Sci-Fi warriors?

Awesome!

Yeah, the "Truescale" quality of these figures makes me even more excited. What a pleasant surprise.

...Blegh. the head is out of scale (as are the weapons) and the shoulder pads don't 'fit' the model as far as I'm concerned.
Not sure what bits to use to make 'em real nice, but not GW IMO.

I hope the zombies aren't tru scale. I'll post comparison pics when they come in. Which I hope is soon. I like the look of the thunder crow. It has this imperial look that lends itself well for imp forces, and perfect as a gunboat for =I=28 games. Kind of reminds me of something I've seen in the Inq rulebook.

there not really true scale they are taller than seditionwars but they are more infinity scale anyways and if the space marine had his legs together he would be the same hight ,

Im thinking of getting a set, and cutting the midriff down to shorten them a bit, then combining with catachan arms and a few heads to make gears of war gears, dunno thats just what I think of when I see that armour...

Hmmmm...remove the SM shoulderpads, maybe use third-party ones? I think SM arms fit the scale nicely.

Yep wasnt planning on the use of sholder pads just put it up for people to see. I've gone with this set up of marine arms (as the ones that come with them are poo! All the same pose and both hands are sculpted to be holding a pistol grip ) also strangely the helmets are too big to fit in the gorget built into the armour. Theres also a drilled out part on the very top for banners or similar so filled them. Lots of clean up on these models not great tbh was expecting better (maybe thats why they were pulled? New molds being made? .

CURNOW, I was afraid of that. As much as I love Puppets Wars' designs, their pieces usually require a bit of work. Their casting is not top tier but for the design and the price, I still feel I get a good deal.

Maybe the re-release will show better casting.
