Does a drop pod entering the game take a hull point when it lands because of the immobile rule. It says you are immobilized just like on the vehicle damage chart, but I can't find anywhere where it states you take a hull point. I can only find where it says you take a hull point from glancing, penetrating hits and failing dangerous terrain test.

It is immobile, it has not been immobilised.

Interesting question I think. Well, I just read the rule out of the vanilla codex. A key word to me was "counts in all respects" as being immobilized. It didn't suffer an immobilizing hit, it is just considered immobilized, therefore it doesn't lose a hull point. Just they way I read it anyway.

You got bolded quote bad. Drop pod does not become immobilised the moment it lands instead it is treated "as vehicle that has sufferED an Immobilised" so:
-technically its not immobilised it is just treated like that. So no immobilised result - no damage.
-hull point loss would occur the moment you become immobilised. We got past tense here so another thing you do not loose it.

For me it was kinda obvious you dont loose any HP, but...

Has a vehicle that as suffered an immobilised result been damaged?

And when does the Drop Pod suffer the result?

Perhaps you should read the thread I linked.

11 Pages of heated argument here.

Edit: And nothing put forth in this thread that hasn't been shouted from on high already.

Basically it boils down to most people read it as "obviously no" while a lesser number of people loudly proclaim "but they do".

Most players will not try to force you to lose a hull point but if somebody does you have the option of a friendly roll-off to solve the dispute or to walk away if the person is being unreasonable.

I defend drop pods even though I'm a Xeno player. Drop pods can die in a fire!

somewhere in the webway

i would argue that counting as immobilized through a special rule "treating as immobilized" is just that. it cant move.

the hull point removal comes as a result of a HIT and damage result. the drop pod does not take a hit, neither glancing nor penetrating, therefore it suffers no damage, and looses no hull points.

the only reason the "treat as immobilized on the damage chart" is in there, is to further clarify the special rule that says once landed the pod cant move. since the immobilized damage effect is pretty much exactly the wording you want, its much easier to refrence that, then restating the exact same thing with a few extra words soley for drop pods. - because really.... that would just be silly. to those that argue its exactly like the damage result, and a damage effect, then i would say great. my techmarine repairs that, and now i can move my pod.

Can this be locked?

The rules are not definitive with regards to HP loss. Some think you don't others think you do.

The only thing for it is to work that out with your opponent before game.
