Then don't tell them that. There's just about a billion ways you could talk to your kids about homosexuality without ever coming down to the question of whether it's innate or acquired.
Hollywood and the cult of political correctness has done a great job of brain washing a generation.
By opposition to being brainwashed in believing women, blacks and gays are inferior? If I have to choose between those 2 brainwashing, and then idiots making their own mind about stuff they know gak all about, then I know which one I'm picking.
And if you think that the pedophiles and zoophiles don't make the same arguments that homosexuals do you haven't done enough reading.
GG
That they make the same argument is not surprising. There's even some amount of truth to their position (when they say that it is a myth that children have no sexuality), it's just what they want to accomplish with this discourse which is monstrous. And that's easily recognizable.

While I'm not trying to white knight for GG here, there's an interesting trend if you look at minority voting patterns on certain issues.
This, to me, makes homophobia seem much less of a W.A.S.P. driven phenomenon.

Of course they do, why wouldn't they? I imagine heterosexuals would use them too, were they placed in a similar position. Simply because you are predisposed to a particular behavior does not make that behavior acceptable. The argument for gay rights isn't really about being born gay, or not being born gay, its about homosexual behavior having no measurable, negative impact on society.
As an aside, I never really understood all the noise about zoophilia. I mean, its weird as hell, but is having sex with a class of being we slaughter en masse for consumption really all that bad?

Unless you meant only that it is not wrong to point out that, in the Christian account of creation, God created Adam and Eve rather than Adam and Steve.
Sure religious viewpoints can be bigoted, examples of this were Southern Whites taking the mark of Ham and the descendants of Ham(thought to be Black African's, at the time) to justify segregation and Jim crow, or the Mormon exclusion of Blacks from their priesthood(up until the 80's?)...but not all of them are...and for me at least, the gay issue isn't.
For me, this is a behavior choice issue not a civil right.

p.s. let me clarify that whatever behavior choice adults make in the privacy of their home, is none of my business, but it's when they try to deceive my children or the children of people I care about, or try and twist the word of God to fit a lifestyle choice, is where I get a little indignant.

Or better yet, we live in american where freedom is our right, freedom to be who we are(along ceertain limits, such as not hurting someone). You choose to be christian, you are given all the rights that still go with it, that is, all the rights you would have if you didnt.

Not sure of his intent but I would comment on your use of the term "brainwashing", specifically the manner in which that term is used to dismiss "offensive" ideas. One might, for example, say that person X doesn't really hate thing Y, he's just been "brainwashed" into hating it. The problem is that valuation is established by experience, so dismissing something as "brainwashing" is essentially dismissing experience and therefore agency. You may as well just say that the relevant generation is not composed of people.
Second, you may not have said that gay people are inferior, but you did place yourself on a nice little pedestal by decrying Hollywood and "the cult of political correctness". A strategy that is generally reserved for conspiracy theories, and those summoning the Sheeple.

Yes, indeed we are not all homophobic idiots. But a good portion of the American public does seem to be lacking in brain cells, especially the south. (Coming from an Arkansan). But do come here sometime. There are some great things here. The Grand Canyon, for instance, and the Rocky Mountains. There are some great places here, if you ignore most of the people you run into. People in the south are generally quite nice until they find out you are not a christian/gay/liberal/, so you probably won't run into much trouble, though you may be struck by the sheer blatant stupidity of some people's conversations.
But do come here sometime

Partially because in this they are not free. The parents in question must send their children to a state approved/run school. Otherwise they can be charged. Forcing a viewpoint which is contrary to the wishes of the parents upon children who must attend is wrong. Parents should be allowed to raise their kids as they wish as long as it does no quantifiable harm of a serious manner.

I find it incerdibly immoral to lie to kids that may be having sexual identity issues by telling that "god will hate them and they will burn in hell" if they are gay and that "god made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" and that "god exists even though there is no proof what so ever that god actuall exists so listen to what I tell you even though it flies against all reason, logic and all evidance to the contrary". Many churches and people who attend those churches have done a great deal of damage to many generations though their brain washing and inability to actually accept people. And if you don't think sexual predators within the church, or religious sexual predators don't make the same kind of threats (stay quiet or you will burn in hell!) and arguments you haven't done enough reading.

You can actually create a stable population from a very small sample if the original samples are very free from mutation and/or there is a similar species which you can breed into and then cross breed offspring, selecting for certain traits until you have bred back to a certain ideal which will genetically be very similar to the original.
