Those look great! Think the bright colour scheme works really well with them.

It's funny that the Morats are almost what Space Marines are in 40k, in terms of how they operate, who they fight for etc. (if you kind of look at it from a tangent)

Quick test paint job of my PanO. Just going for tabletop quality.

Nice whites. Whites are hard to do well but that came out looking good.

Heheh, thanks. I used an airbrush, so painting whites is pretty much cake. The hard part is the pin wash, which is sloppy on this model because I didn't bother gloss coating it first.

Spoilered for size.

Further work on my first Infinity model. I don't have an airbrush (as you can tell). The arm holds a rifle but it doesn't touch the ground. So green putty action soon. Then should be close to finished.

I like the Orc scheme, it's pretty similar to what I've been doing with my Nomads. I'm a bit less refined in my white though, as I just dip the whole thing. Gives it kind of a dingy look that I like though.

Batch number two of the UltraMorats painted up, this time being the SWC pack of the Vanguard. I decided the Hacker would be the Librarian (psyker) equivalent so I made his fancy shoulder pad a light shade of blue, and then photographed him at an angle where you can't really tell. ;p

Next up I plan to work on Anyat and some other Specialists.

I don't have a light box, so apologies, but some pictures of my Ariadna:

Irmandinhos and a SAS:

Frenchies - Moblots, including the little female Moblot, which I purchased begrudgingly.

Russkies - Usually all 3 Tank Hunters make it into my games, though the Autocannon will soon be replaced. He never really does anything and only gets his ass handed to him.

Hey guys, I just played my first game of infinity yesterday and it was A LOT of fun. It was Nomads (me) versus ALEPH. It was 150 points, Supremacy. Infinity lived up to the hype. Standard disclaimer: no model is finished here (i usually paint to 90-95 percent, and then batch paint this finishing features).

I love your Nomad stuff Those are some really slick bases, probably would have done something similar if not for clear acrylics. I like the bright, almost candy, red.

Those Ariadnas are cool too, the way you've done the dark/black and highlighted it, neat style.

Yes very nice, very clean and bright paint scheme and works well with the minis.

I like the idea of painting the front of the base as well, sure that's very helpful in the game! (and makes me think I really need to do something similar with my own).

@AesSedai : Those are some really nice Nomads! I love the red main color you have going with them, makes them a very cohesive force. Glad you're enjoying Infinity!

@NuggzthNinja : Hah! I knew you were familiar from another forum Shoulda known given your avatar.

Regarding the AC Tankhunter, I try to use mine in almost all my vanilla Ariadna lists. About half the time he does nothing, but the other half he is spectacular. He's killed so many models with his AP+EXP rounds it's not funny.
I used him in a tourney a couple weeks ago and he destroyed a Raicho in one order! He had missed shots on one order at it, then the next he hit with one, and crit with one.
The Raicho ended up failing 3 out of the 5 armor rolls he needed

Cheers!

Yeah that weapon is hilariously powerful. I think I've only ever had one unit survive a hit from that - a Mobile Brigada in cover - and everybody was shocked!

Maybe I just need to position him better. My issue has been mainly that in the reactive turn, he gets crumped by models that throw a ton of dice. In the active turn, you're throwing 2 dice against 1, and your odds of hitting aren't all that hot compared to the AP HMG Tank Hunter.

For the same points, I can swap him out for an Antipode Pack (for killing TAGs and stuff) and an Irmandinho. Same number of orders, +1 specialist, a smoke launcher, and sensor. Maybe the better option? I dunno...but that's for another thread!

Spoilered for mobile users.

And she's done. First Infinity model complete (vanishing next). The bag the rifle is perched on would not touch the ground. So there's some green putty work at the bottom to fix that.

Spoiler:

Now starting on this guy. Early basecoat stages. Will be changing the faceplate to grey to allow the sword more room (will be attempting to use blending to add a burning/hot look).

Looks good ShaneTb I like the colour scheme and base. I have finished painting a Nisse with multi sniper rifle so now I have completed all my PanO operation ice storm minis. It was also the last mini that I made the mistake to undercoat with Army painter spray. It doesn't work well on metal minis it creates an almost plastic surface that the paint doesn't want to go smooth on, even with flow aid added it starts to pearl up I'm curious if someone else have had the same problem.

I've stopped using Army Painter sprays after they wrecked my Ariadna force. Since then I've moved to Vallejo. I never had any trouble with GW minis and the sprays so possibly there's something that just doesn't go well together?

GW chaos black spray is the only one I use now. Consistent.

Seems like it is army painter spray that doesn't like like metal minis I haven't had any problems either when I was using Gw and Vallejo sprays, lesson learned don't go for the cheap alternative .

I use krylon all the time and its usually pretty solid. I've notice when I airbrush on white from my minitaire collection its too smooth so I tend to rattle can anything that doesn't have terribly shallow detail.

That is just fething gorgeous. Nothing else I can say really !

Crazy Ivan - Can I ask what lighting setup you use for your pics? You always seem to have a very smooth and natural looking light in your pics, really shows the minis off nicely.

I've had zero problems using Army Painter primers on Infinity models. I stopped because the weather is rarely conducive with spray priming, so I went to brush on Vallejo primer.

This is only paint however, and not actually primer.

Thanks! And I've got my PanO painted black as well a bit earlier in this thread. Here's the next installment of the Ultramorats;

Got the Specialists finished up for my Morat Aggression Force. Continuing with the UltraMorat paint scheme they're filling in various roles from the Ultramarines' roster, with my Hackers painted up in Librarian blue, Korgat Engineer in Techmarine red, and Paramedic in Apothecary white. Anyat was given the colors of a Veteran Sergeant. I've continued to not bring over any of the icons or badges and instead just painted their shoulders in the colors of the various rank icons they're filling.

Bonus note, the Paramedic is my first real conversion for Infinity, combining some bits from the Raktorak and an old Apothecary to distinguish him from the other Vanguard models.

With these I think I've also settled on the final colors for the basing, lightening it up from the previous black washed versions to a brighter/cleaner blue grey color. The steel pipes are still getting the black wash, and the fittings are getting an additional sepia wash for a light coppery shade. Lastly they all had a red stripe added to the front 180 of their bases to distinguish their firing arcs.

Such a fun scheme, yet it makes the Morats no less aggressive or deadly. Good work
