Definitely sick of the word Triarii by now. I prefer Anvildude's much more fitting name, but overuse has soured it further.

Also stop lording it over everyone, your mystical council has as of yet done very little.

Someone stole 19 diamonds out of my chest in the Mining Age. Assorted other ores may have also gone missing, but unfortunately I haven't been able to catalogue these yet.

If everything stolen re-appears then no further questions will be asked.

You have until Dark sees this post.

It happened between 5am and now, London GMT, so that narrows it down a fair bit.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Le Sigh.

Apostle. Quiet.

Still don't know where you got the word "Triariiiiiiii", but it really isn't the right one. Pentumverate would work better, but for now, I'll continue to call it the Accords.

The point of an Underground Dimension is that, unlike the Mining Age, it would have massive, amazing cave systems. Seems like this wouldn't cause too many bugs from Marble, as Marble replaces Air- the caves would give it places to spawn. It'd be for those of us who like living fully underground, but can never seem to find enough mountains for the really impressive caverns.

If you really want Blaze spawners, get a Soul Shard and a Vile Sword with Soul Stealer on it, and start farming. A Level 5 Blaze Soul Shard allows you to spawn Blazes in the overworld in vast amounts- replace the zombie spawner at the Nexus with the Blaze Shard, and the water will harm them, while the combat turtles will kill them for experience. Ridiculously fast exp and blaze rod farming, as shown in Direwolf20's LP.

The only way to get Repair (and many other Thaumcraft enchants) is to enchant a Thaumcraft item- you can't get enchanted books of Potency or Repair- it must be placed directly on the item.

The Accords is willing to help with boss fights, however, as we use magic only, and Thaumcraft research cannot be shared between members (as IC and BC tools and equipment can), we have a much slower advancement to endgame, and so will be of little real help for a while yet. Don't rush so fast to slaughter all the unique things in the world- make cool fortresses, participate in community projects, collect a library of enchanted books and make gear that's perfect for what you want to do- you don't need to kill Uniques just to kill Uniques. Farm for Soul Shards- get some Zombie grinders going with Combat Turtles to have an infinite iron source. Look into things like Dark Iron and XyCraft. Be creative.

Also, for all you using Thaumcraft- you'd better have Tallow Golems and Warded Jars and Vis filters set up in your crafting areas- or else all this heavy mystical manufacturing is going to be dumping a ton of Flux into the environment- this'll cause Wisps, but it'll also cause freak weather patterns, mystical sicknesses and other unpleasantness (do you really want Giant Zombies and 5 day thunderstorms? Or undead mobs that don't burn up during the day?)

Triarii, comes from the 3rd legion of Rome, who were normally pure-bred Romans and descended from the richest of Rome, also in the 40k universe they were the 3rd great company of legions and in the thousand sons were a squad of VERY good mages/phsykers who helped ariman (is that his name?) to summon the rubric. That's why I named us the triarii we will end the taint and begin the golden age of a perfect magical world....

Protip: Don't insult the moderators, even in sarcasm.

Shall we go through this? Alright then. I've got a while to think about this post as I write this.

No-one ever had such defined boundaries between magic and science before you. I don't care about that boundary. I use what I feel like. The reason I have made little use of the Magical mods is that I have not looked into them, and what little I have seen of Thaumcraft is not compelling enough to make me do anything else. It's high risk at very little reward, with much of Thaumcraft being somewhat random (from what I have seen) I have no desire to make use of a mod that requires as much time and resources to get less results. I am sure I'll dip into it as and when I wish to.
You're hardly giving it a good image, rambling about the accomplishments of your useless order, only for Anvildude to correct you and show what is really happening. It saddens me that I have to tar him with the same brush.

The Dark Apostle wrote:

Right, most of this has been covered. One point I have to argue with is: "... takes considerably more mental prowess"
If you're anything like the average Minecraft player, you learnt most of what you know from Wikis, and typing into a search bar doesn't count as high mental prowess.

The fact that the FTB server is plagued with massive thunderstorms a lot of the time, at least at my home (sadly next door to yours, where all of the magic takes place) tells me that you are not very good at magic. Anvildude says that freak weather patterns are a consequence of shoddy Thaumaturgy, and massive rainstorms are hardly normal. Luckily for me, I use Redpower windmills for Blulectric power, so rain is not a bad thing.

I don't moan about the "us", I have no issue with a group of like-minded people gathering and doing what they enjoy on a Minecraft server. It's you I have an issue with.
Creating this fantastic order of people who aren't allowed to use parts of the mod, with rules that you never set down, and complaining when people broke them- with no knowledge of them. Thankfully, Anvildude had the wit to post them on the forums.
Asking that people be banned for accidentally killing you.
Begging for free stuff off of everyone.

If this comes across as rude to anyone other than The Dark Apostle, I apologise. If it comes across as rude to him, then tough.

Not sure why you'd need another dimension just for the same thing. Blazes spawn everywhere in nether fortresses now too, so less need to worry if someone breaks a blaze spawner. Also if you did want to find another one, just make a Mystcraft linking book to it so you don't have to travel. All of the above negates the need for another dimension.

Endless underground worlds were rumoured to be buggy due to interaction with Redpower marble generation. Also as ore gen is based on height of around 70? and below, wouldn't the upper levels all just be plain stone?

Thats kind of the point of an underground world. Also for a difficult place. Though the endless strongholds sounds like a cool idea.

Also how do i make mysticraft worlds?

I'm sorry, I don't understand, what do you mean by "That's"? What's kind of the point of an underground world?

Now you're also talking about Strongholds. Do you mean Strongholds or Nether Fortresses?

I'm welcome to suggestions about ages, but I still don't see the point of a Nether Fortress age (the Nether exists, just use that?), nor a cave world when the ores will still only spawn at 70 and below (just use the mining age for the ores or the nether for a permaroof).

I've disabled the creation of Mystcraft ages because each age is an entire new world to store and load on the server and there's no way to limit it rather than "off" or "on", so it's "off". You can still try out creating as many ages as you like in a singleplayer world.

Sorry I was in a rush when i typed that. So I am fine with that. Just sounded like a cool idea in my head.. ( i Also have no idea on how to use mysticraft. So its all quite foriegn to me. I have mostly messed around with thaumcraft and a few of the other mods Starting a soulstone stuff so I can improve our zombie spawner exp thing.)

And strongholds (From the overworld) would be interesting seeing as they are so incredibly rare.

I'm just trying to come up with additional ideas for ages to explore.

Like an End World (instead of that small end that we get from fighting the ender dragon.)

And Ever since I only got onto the server like five days ago. I had no idea about the blazes doing that. I'm still quite new to the mods and everything.
I'm extremely sorry for that I had no idea on the blazes or the nether fortress.

Also on the tirari issue please stop the arguing its kind of a stupid issue. I posted about it. Only got a few responses. It would be good idea to kill the hydra and the other bosses in the twilight forest. It seems like a grand idea and a community driven idea. That was the only reason i offered that.

I'm all up for fighting bosses, but if it actuallys causes everyone to petty insults from a fellow teammate. (not saying everyone has But seriously dude grow up its a game) anyway I will be back to rewrite part of this. (so take this with a grain of salt) Till then mates.

1: The responses of other users seem to agree that my words were not childish. Yours, on the other hand?
2: I sarcastically pointed out some common sense, I did not "insult you for ignoring a mod"...
4oursword wrote: Protip: Don't insult the moderators, even in sarcasm.
... I pointed out that insulting the mods is a bad idea. Again, common sense.
3: "just not in any of tower" makes no sense whatsoever. If you're a teacher, you should be able to string a sentence together. I've seen 7-year-olds do better.
4: You remember an entire mod from memory? It's not impossible, I just find it unlikely that you have never used a wiki for research. And as shrike says "- you mean to say everything you found out in thaumcraft, you figured out by yourself? I've yet to meet anyone who figures out even default minecraft without the use of tutorials, wikis or other sources of information."
5: See Matt.Kingley's response: "--No, he moans about YOU"
6: As Darkinnit would probably agree, seeing as you made him sift through the logs, and as matapata would definitely back me up, he shot you deliberately and killed you by accident.
7: You promised (via PM) that if my home had flux problems you would deal with it.
8: Glad to hear it. I had no intention of offending. Although I am now sorely tempted. Funnily enough, I have better things to do than offend people over a game. I am more than happy to debate this matter, but my first intention is never to offend.
9: Think? I believe that was in the second line of my response. "I've got a while to think about this post as I write this." On that note, where did I question anything?

I recommend a macerator as your first port of call, as well as the obvious rubber farm. If you're a magicky guy, then Thaumcraft will be your friend. Otherwise, it plays a lot like Tekkit, but without the massively OP EE2. EE3 does let you transmute, but in a much more limited form.

If you want to find out how transmuting works look up minium stone.

You can also transmute metals using thaumcraft.
