The thing is, if science is overly hard and overly complex, you'll have rank amateurs going over to thaumcraft to try and do stuff there and totally messing up nodes etc.

So yes to mod, no to the recipes.

i vote no to the recipes, if i wanted overly complicated crafting i could play any MMO out there.

Narp, narp, a thousand times NARP!

Obviously the mod itself's cool, but the hard recipes are hard for the sake of hard.

It does seem like the recipes just add more of a grind aspect to building machines and no one likes the grind.

I dunno, macerators are a pretty good use of grind.

You'll just love the Quartz grind stone.

Infact, should we just ban all macerators and pulverisers etc except the Quartz grind stone?

Any more news on how solar arrays act when transferred?

Also, anyone who's had a look into soul shards: Maybe getting some Mooshroom Shards before we lose the Mooshrooms is a good idea. We'll have to find them all over again.

Not yet, but you've reminded me I need to test that out. I'll test it this evening.

Heh. I'm gonna work on a Squid Soul Shard. Just 'cause.

I'm also going to collect as much Red Rock as I can, and possibly make a ton of Obsidian from the Wood at spawn- I'm thinking I want to build something and sheath it almost completely in Obby.

I seriously doubt it. How do you differentiate between what players want, in-game? It's almost definitely on or off.

I could understand how you could have two recipes for the macerator for example, just like there are two recipes for certain other items.

However, GregTech also changes the output of certain recipes like Tin Cans and Bronze (I think it's either Bronze or Brass) so you get less items (only 4 tin cans and only 2 Bronze). It would not be possible to have one recipe that has two different output amounts.

The config only has options to enable or disable the recipes, and enabling them makes them replace the IC2 recipes.

I've seen a majority vote for the hard recipes OFF, so I think that's what I'll do. Those of you who do want the challenge, can take my earlier suggestion. (I also don't appreciate the vote in favour of hard recipes just to spite those that will have to use them, shame on you!)

Ok, Compact Solars.

They do get auto-converted:

Solar Panel -> Solar Panel (No change)
LV Solar Array -> Advanced Solar Panel
MV Solar Array -> Hybrid Solar Panel
HV Solar Array -> Ultimate Hybrid Solar Panel

Just make sure they're in your Ender Chest.

Please do not put any Mystcraft linking books in your Enderchests - when you login to Ultimate the broken links crash your client (the server doesn't care). I'll try to check for and remove any I find, but if you put them in and I miss them, it's your own fault.

Right, is there still no solid "this is when the DW20 server will be shut down" date? Because this flax might just be finished growing by the end of next year...

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

Tonight I've made no progress other than further debugging Mystcraft and testing the EnderChests and Solar panel conversion (as above).

Earliest possible date for switchover would be Saturday evening (GMT), but it's more likely to be some time on Sunday at the moment.

I musn't forget to pack my own stuff up into an Enderchest too

Finally got all my enderchests packed up with useless stuff.

I'm gonna miss my little town, the constant sound of doors opening and closing, the clanking of the iron clad protectors, pushing villagers off ledges to their death...

Mostly going to miss these guys.

Sure they dogpiled in one corner of town and smacked me around for no apparent reason but they saved my bacon a couple times.

Avatar I've left my potato gun, oracle turret, thaumometer and thuamcraft clothes in your Enderchest. Along with the lone diamond I had, 12 sapphires and 22 apples as payment for it.

If it's taking up too much space, feel free to throw out the clothing leaving the boots second last and the goggles for last.
