Hey, if we can have people refusing to use pipes because they're not "Magicky" enough, we can have people refusing to use Warded Stone because it's not "Sciency" enough.

But Warded Stone is still awesome. It's essentially placeable, colorable bedrock.


And with the 2 minute marker Redstone signal, and a Deployer (if you shoot or hit golems, they take damage and can be destroyed/die) with a Wand, you might be able to set up something that'll automatically unplace golems.

you can make a wand turtle, although that IS science

Also, seeming my power armour helmet is TECHNICALLY magical (aurameter FTW) am I allowed to wear it in the tower? Just the helmet, they rest isn't magical, but it's just a nuisance if not because I'll have to make another pair of goggles... And I don't exactly have the shards/gold for it... (nor the carrots, but that's another thing)

Without science, magic is unusable anyway.

Sciencing magic until it's no longer magic is the best part of science!

Hmm... Well, Thaumaturgy is meant as a Scientific Approach to Magic...

If it's your only pair of goggles, I'd allow it. You'll have to clear it with the rest, though. I'm just building the thing. If you need Aqua shards, try looking underneath oceans. There's tons of them there.

In a way, the Accords is more about building an infrastructure without using the Tech mods. Things like Redpower Panels or blocks of Bronze or Aluminum, or using pipes or whatever as sources of Aspects is alright- but a pipe-based sorting system, or a Cart Farm, or Autarchic Gates, single-block machines... Not so much hated as just us being desirous of them being unneeded. Like how the Amish don't go around smashing their neighbors' Television sets and slashing tires, but just choose not to avail themselves of those things instead.

We need alot of stuff. But we don't really need them if we didn't have gregtech.

Like the Amulet of Eternal Density! That could compress stuff in a new, improved EE3!

Well, actually Ash, its not gregtech, but the gregtech recipes. A pity, but yeah compressors aren't the worst.

Compressors are easy to make, it is annoying that I needed one to make an anvil but eh whatever, Ill live.

My suggestion is that the accords should put a technological center in the basement of your tower, just because you have another tool there.

If magic cannot compress, then now there is a problem! you need to use science!

Iv started on a small scale sorting setup with adv golems.

Adv golems are a bit creepy and too smart for their own good I think, apparently mines plotting an uprising.

Xeriapt if you wouldn't mind could me and anvil take a look at this sorting system of yours?

Sheesh, talk about my vest being amazing. 2 direct hits from creepers. half a heart of damage. HALF A HEART.

Still.....could be worse.

What kind of vest is this? Crazy blast protection enchants on it?


Also, here's an idea- instead of having a tech center in the tower itself, we have a "Forbidden" area, say, in warded blocks on the surface of the Mining age. We can set it up so that there's a Magic Mirror pair, where you can throw raw materials into it, they'll get compressed, and be spat back out at you afterwards. Like magic!

I've never trusted Advanced golems...

Nor tallow golems for that matter.

Sure, if you see me in game Ill give you the co-ords for my tower.

All it is is a few adv stone golems sorting through an enderchest hooked up to my arcane bore. Each golem can sort 6 different items.

Just remembered you posted this. Well, there were the Haste III Feather Falling IV, Fire Protection IV Unbreaking III Boots of the Traveler I had just enchanted (two books and a really lucky base enchant). But really, the worst thing was the loss of my Chargeing Wand of Fire- I have a grinder which basically relies on the AoE damage of that wand to work, and Charge means it'd not run out- Potency is nice, but I don't really need it- or can potentially get it from grinding out books.

We have lots of enchanted books, take your pick

I'll see what I can't do with my own enchanting first, though- books tend to waste a lot of potential, especially when enchanting Thaumic equipment, which can often get 3-4 top-level enchants per 30 levels.

Yeah anvil, it took me weeks to get repair on my sword of zephyr, it took me 2 days to enchant about 20 pieces of equipment with repair 2 and charging

Best thing to do is recycle the failed enchanted wand for the aspects of the new one, so getting the aspects for it isn't a grind to get that many wands.

Yeah def easier just making several of the item you want and picking the best enchants to combine on an anvil.

before the FTB server we were talking having a custom mudpack, the problem was that wed all have to download the mods individually, now with tekkit you can make modpacks and then put them up for download, so we could have 1 person making the mod and we all get it. http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/list
using this we could add the mods WE like, ars magica, no gregtech and more, it may be late but its a definite thing to think about. we could call it "dakkacraft"

you do know FTB allows basically the same thing right?
