basically yeah.

you have the option to doctor whatever modpack you are launching, and provided theres a server that backs up the same mods, its effectively your own Modpack.

Im not entirely sure how you upload that selection as a Pack, but I know you can

I think Gregtech would be fine if it wasn't for the modification it makes to low-level IC2 machines like hydro plants, basic solars, macerators, etc. to turn them in to end-game machines. Somehow I feel it'd be annoying to try to take the best from GT but ignore the rest though.

Same thing with the vanilla recipes. It really does nothing more than add artificial 'difficulty' to require compressors and grinders to make and divide blocks of stuff.

Great idea!

I'd just love to have the world wiped again in order to switch to a custom "mudpack" tailored to your fickle whims...

I'm sure dark would love it too.

Hey Dark- don't the items Zombies pick up always drop when they die?

Because if that's so, I think I might have lost some items in the server reset. I'll check around for them, but I think I lost my brand-new Charge I Treasure III Wand of Excavation.

I saw first hand the other night that server restarts don't delete dropped items. My entire inventory survived a server restart scattered around on the ground.

Why were you giving a zombie your wand in the first place?

Obviously because he wanted the zombie to polish it.

It's not like a zombie cares if it goes blind right?

I think most people are pretty happy with the current modpack, only you really ever bitch about wanting to change it...

I'm not happy with gregtech. I'll get over it eventually, but it's a stupidly designed mod that turns a lot of early game material in to end-game material without making them any more useful.

When you catch them all you have to train them all to be the best there ever was.

As would I.

Ars magica will be added when it is added. So quit your whining about it.

I love the tale of the ironic. TDA bitching about not getting his uber-magic power mod. But deriding people who get annoyed by gregtech recipes wrecking the tech tree.

Sometimes it's almost like we need the ICBM mod.

Hell, I am all for the ICBM mod, but enabled on its own mystcraft world, so it's resetable and so you can't place it in the overworld or other worlds.

That'd be fun if we got proper bases set up then just went all out there. Then it's reset and everyone's happy because someone hasn't put in the wrong number and leveled something they shouldn't have.

You could program some turtles to build basic bases then add doors and launchers etc, saves time when its reset.

Dark Eldar- 1500pts Completed
Grey Knights- 1500pts 1 Guy done
Chaos Daemons- Approx 5000pts
Slaanesh Daemons- 1500pts, in progress
Khorne Daemons- 1500pts, in progress
Death Korps of Krieg- Plans being formulated.
---------------------------------------------------
High Elves- Approx 2000pts
Vampire Counts- Raising the dead once more

That gives a better idea actually. What about an automated turtle base. They build it and arm it themselves and fire at targets that get detected by radar or something like that.

Would be cool to see someone set up something like that. Cant say iv used turtles enough to know how.

You do know that any pack that we made using that tekkit thing COULD NOT INCLUDE redpower, because of the way that elooram has it? also, the ftb pack maker afaik, you have to ask the ftb team to make it for you.

I was actually thinking of making a base-creating turtle or builder so we could have fights between them
but then remembered we only ever have like 3 people on.

I'd be up for it (assuming I can tear myself away from Guild Wars 2 for a little bit).

I was thinking fillers guarded by reinforced stone to give an outline and turtles to add the detail work.

Could we request an age for that, Dark? Or should we simply use the mega build age?

Be very, very careful of using any sort of machinery to place warded stone, glass, or doors. Because then you can't remove them. Ever. At all. Period. You'll have to beg Dark to go into creative and destroy them.

I was just going to use normal reinforced stone.

That way, one can simply protect the machinery/piping that builds everything and flip a switch to rebuild the castle.

I haven't searched too much for one, but figured since there's so much space we could just find it when we have the stuff ready to go.

I'll make the point that there's no use requesting for new ages for things that'll be used rarely, or only a few times before people get bored with them. What's the point in clogging up server memory? If there's any projects that work outside normal server related activities then just go to the mega build age, its not like its any less of a deadzone already. =P
