Don't go overboard in payment mind you . If they're asking for too much, they're probably not worth it anyway.

Thanks to Dark got the stuff back so don't really need to. I also found a Dark Tower and cleared out most of the treasure.
However I might when I find a Hydra. Fun thing is currently gravity guns damage them and they do ridiculous damage. Found this out in singleplayer when I spawned a few into a city.

I actually died after killing the Minoshroom.

Power armour is good enough for it. I had iron plating in everything and energy shields in 2-3 pieces as well. So my armour meter was one off full. And no need for a sword, power glove pew pews everything to death.

I suppose I should get to that instead of finding more landmarks to explore in the dark. We're about 5k out from the portal there anyway so shouldn't run into other people too much.

Good good. Perhaps you can make another bookportal to that area from your house once it's cleansed? I hesitate to cross 5k blocks of land at 5 frames/second.

My book goes to that area 5k away from the portal.

But I agree the tower could use one as well. As it is I'll probably have to use the gravity gun to carry you to it faster.

It's not far away, but it is more or less on the other side of the glacier.

OK I will try to answer a couple of the questions here. I dont want to just update the original Magicworld as there are mods that we want to remove however I dont want to force this change on people. I would much rather give them a choice. It costs us nothing to have 2 Magicworld packs on the server and people can then choose which one they want to play with. As far as I know, both Magicworld and Techworld are considered stable (if there is such a thing in modded Minecraft) . I suspect these 2 packs will be locked down and called final very shortly. (that call hasnt been made yet though)

This is the thing with making modpacks. It is not just the mods that evolve, we do as well (at least I hope so). The early packs were essentially made as filler packs to help whilst we waited for mods to come along which allowed us to make the packs we wanted to make (Ultimate). Mods were put in these packs that shouldn't really have been there (Thermal Expansion in Magicworld being a great example). The next pack which be a much better experience I hope.

To the best of my knowledge there are no current plans to update the Direwolf20 pack in 1.5. At least not until all mods that are in the pack have been updated.

Yes, Tinkers Construct is planned for the 1.5 preview pack (please dont read to much into this name, we just have no idea what to actually call it as nothing is quite right.)

As to world reboots, we want to minimize the need for that as much as we possibly can. However we cannot hold off updating packs for ever. At some point you need to add a cut off date and just roll with it. We are not there yet though with our packs, however I do want to update as soon as I feel we can. Right now that looks like several weeks after 1.6's release, so current owners can make plans accordingly.

Actually only the Lich seems to ignore quantum armour, no other mobs (including the hydra and minoshroom) seem to damage me.

I'm not really worked up about tge lack of ars magica, me and my friend are making our own modpack with the mods we like, and aswell as creating/ testing that I have an adventure map I'm making so I'll be busy, very busy. Prob won't be on server much.

What about the tower ghasts? When i was playing on their in my SP they killed me instantly.

Does anyone happen to know the key to set electric jetpacks to hover? M seems to be mapped to the minimap as well as "change mode", though when I remap the minimap key it still doesn't do anything. The N key, which the wiki says is the correct key, also doesn't seem to do it. I'm probably missing something.

Oh yes, and I know Power Armour has an unlimited jetpack. ...But an electric one's the extent that I can make without having any machines. =P

Check the key bindings, I think I remembered seeing "switch mode" in there which would be what you're after.

Ah, got it. I needed to rebind the mode control to something other than its default key. Now that I can hover though I don't really see the point. Hovering's just descending at a slightly slower pace apparently, not remaining stationary in flight that I had expected. =/

Hey dark am I able to get my inventory reset?

I logged in a while back and the game was lagging so much I logged out after a few min. Iv just logged back in and I was dead and all my stuff was gone.

Not sure how I died exactly, didnt even leave my tower lol.

So Dartcraft looks like a neat "Magic" mod. it takes power (unfortunately) but you can use 'force engines' for that. But yeah- essentially a way to control enchantments to a certain extent.

Quick question - Who let the poxy Skeleton and enderman in to the nether nexus? Spawning on top of the Skeleton was not fun with no armour...

Interesting... I've always hated that about enchantments, the randomness always put me off.

Anvildude, (and anyone else interested in getting just the right amount of certain aspects) may be interested in this thing I've set up at the spawn machine room. It trades your "useless" iron nuggets for the "useful" iron nuggets that have aspects on them:

Just pop your iron nuggets in the top middle slot, and out come iron nuggets from the bottom slot.

Yaaay!!! All we need now is an enderchest and a pair of Golems to make it accessible from any Magery location imaginable!

I think it'd be kinda neat to eventually have all the various Spawn/Shared processes, machines and equipment routed through specific public Ender frequencies, and then Dark would just encase the whole thing in Warded Stone with a single door only he could access, so it'd be a 'magic box full of nanites' that does useful stuff.
